Il fieno è fondamentale nella dieta degli erbivori stretti come la cavia ed il
coniglio e quindi deve essere sempre presente insieme alla miscela base. La
componente fondamentale del fieno è la fibra, che è indispensabile alla corretta digestione degli erbivori. Il regolare consumo delle fibre grezze contenute
nel fieno aiuta a prevenire la formazione dei boli di pelo pericolosi nell’apparato
digerente. Il fieno favorisce la corretta crescita ed il ricambio del pelo, nonché la
naturale usura dei denti. È privo di coloranti e conservanti.

Il fieno di fleolo Gimbi (altrimenti detto coda di topo, Timothy Hay o Phleum pratense) è un foraggio particolare, che ha come caratteristiche
naturali peculiari il basso tenore proteico ed un’alta percentuale di fibre. Esso previene l’obesità e l’alta percentuale di fibre favorisce un
corretto funzionamento del tratto gastro-intestinale, rendendolo la dieta ideale per conigli, cavie, cincillà e altri piccoli mammiferi erbivori.
Riduce l’incidenza di feci molli e dei gas intestinali, oltre ad esercitare una funzione antinfiammatoria utile per prevenire tosse, bronchite,
infezioni intestinali, diarrea, allergie ed infiammazioni delle alte vie respiratorie. E’ adatto anche a soggetti inappetenti, e/o convalescenti.

Lettiera di paglia pressata di frumento
Pressed wheat straw litter
Lettiera composta di cilindri corti a base di paglia, elemento naturale molto apprezzato da tutti i
conigli ed i roditori. Ha un leggero aroma naturale ma non assolutamente pungente. Le sue capacità
di assorbimento sono ottime come l’inibizione degli odori. La sua consistenza, se pur abbastanza
rigida, non risulta spigolosa e pungente, quindi non crea problemi alla zona plantare di conigli e
cavie.
Può essere ottima utilizzata in associazione con il truciolo in animali di media taglia (coniglie e cavie),
disponendola dopo averla miscelata in maniera omogenea.
Nei piccoli animali come i criceti, i topolini ed i gerbilli può essere messa a disposizione insieme ai grani
di tutolo, meglio se in zone differenti della dimora; così l’animale avrà a disposizione due formati diversi
di lettiera che sommeranno le caratteristiche di assorbimento e doneranno all’ambiente un’immagine
più varia.
Non tende ad essere scambiata per un alimento, ed in ogni caso la sua ingestione non crea problemi
data la sua composizione totalmente naturale.
It is a litter made of short pressed-straw cylinders, a natural element, that rabbits and rodents really
enjoy. Its aroma is light and natural, but never sour. It has excellent absorptive and odor-inhibiting
capacities. Its quite stiff consistency does not feel sharp or prickly, therefore it causes no trouble to the
delicate plantar area of rabbits and Guinea-pigs.
If used along with wood shavings litter it can be perfectly suitable for medium sized animals (such as
rabbits or Guinea-pigs); in such case, the litter has to be spread out after having accurately mixed it
together with wood shavings.
As far as small animals such as hamsters, mice and gerbils are concerned, it can be used with the corn
cob granulates litter, possibly by spreading them out in two different parts of the tray or cage; thus the
animal will have at its disposal two different kinds of litters which will ensure a double absorptive power,
and give to the animal’s abode a wide ranging look.
It is hardly mistaken for food; anyhow, because of its completely natural composition, it does not give
any trouble if swallowed.

La Paglia Naturale Gimbi è una lettiera totalmente naturale e possiede un alto potere assorbente.
L’utilizzo della paglia nei roditori e nei conigli ha essenzialmente 2 scopi: di lettiera e come materiale per
foderare le dimore. Essa consente all’animale di stare sull’asciutto per diverse ore, anche in presenza
di deiezioni. È dotata di una notevole capacità riscaldante, che risulta molto gradita agli animali, è
igienica ed ha anche un’azione bloccante sugli odori. Nel caso in cui venga parzialmente mangiata
dall’animale non vi sono rischi. Non si attacca né alle zampe né al pelo. La sua consistenza è adatta a
mantenere in salute la zona plantare, che nei conigli è molto delicata.
È consigliata per coniglietti nani e piccoli roditori come ad esempio cavie, topolini, cincillà, Degu,
gerbilli, ratti, etc. Le femmine di coniglio, gravide, amano foderare il nido con la paglia (mista a
fieno), che, grazie alle sue caratteristiche di isolante, aiuta insieme al pelo che si strappa la fattrice,
a mantenere caldi e asciutti i nuovi nati. Per le cavie e i criceti rappresenta un’ottima lettiera. Gerbilli
e Degu del Cile la utilizzano sia come lettiera, che come strumento ludico, in quanto si divertono a
sminuzzarla ed ad utilizzarla per coprire e sotterrare il cibo; pratica molto amata ed istintiva in questi
animali. I cincillà possono utilizzarne cumuli di frammenti per il tipico “bagno a secco”. Ai topolini la
paglia è molto gradita sia come lettiera che come materiale da “costruzione”, in quanto amano
fabbricare rifugi con gli steli. Ottima come lettiera per i ratti, che amano anche farne delle piccole
raccolte, solitamente in un angolo, che poi utilizzano come letto per riposare o per foderare il fondo
della loro casetta.
The Gimbi natural straw is a completely natural highly absorbent litter. The use of straw for rodents and
rabbits has mainly two goals: To be used as a litter or as material for lining the abode. In this way the
animal is able to stay dry for several hours, even if there are some dejecta. It has significant heating
qualities, which is very appreciated by the animals; it is hygienic and odor binding: Even if it is partially
ingested, there are not any risks for the animals. It does not stick neither to the paws nor to the hair. Its
texture contributes to the health of the delicate plantar zone of the rabbits. It is suitable for dwarf rabbits
and small rodents like for example Guinea pigs, mice, chinchillas, degus, gerbils, rats, etc. The pregnant
female rabbits like to line their nest with straw (mixed with hay), which due to its isolating qualities helps
together with the mother animal’s hair to keep the newborns warm and dry. For the Guinea pigs and
hamsters it represents an excellent litter. Gerbils and degus from Chile use the straw as a litter as well as
a game. They like to cut up the straw and use it for covering or hiding their food, which is one of their
popular and instinctive behaviors. The chinchillas can use the heaps of small fragments of straw for their
typical “dry baths”. Mice appreciate the straw as a litter as well as construction material, because they
tend to build their refuge with straw stems. It is also an excellent litter for rats, who love collecting straw,
normally in a corner in order to use it as bedding or to line their playhouse. The ideal use of the straw
would be in combination with fine litters with different textures, like Gimbi’s wood shavings or natural
litter of corn cob granules.

È una lettiera che si presenta in scaglie depolverate di legno, e si può considerare la più universale di tutte. È quasi inodore e totalmente
atossica. Si adatta bene ad essere utilizzata da sola o in associazione a qualsiasi altra lettiera della linea. Il suo potere di assorbimento e di
inibizione degli odori è ottimo. La sua consistenza particolarmente soffice preserva gli animali come i conigli e le cavie da una eccessiva
pressione sulle piante dei piedi, che sono zone assai delicate in queste specie. Il suo utilizzo ideale prevede la sostituzione delle zone
bagnate e/o sporche massimo ogni due giorni, e si può effettuare comodamente con una palettina di plastica. Lo smaltimento si può
effettuare nell’umido. In animali piccoli come criceti, topolini e gerbilli è molto gradita anche perché amano nascondercisi sotto. Nei
cincillà e nei degu è ideale un utilizzo promiscuo con lettiere granulari, ponendo le due tipologie in diverse zone della dimora ma non
sovrapposte, così saranno possibili i bagni a secco. In animali come i conigli o le cavie a pelo lungo può rimanere adesa al pelo, ma è
facilmente rimovibile con una spazzola o un pettine a denti medi.
It is a low-dust wood shavings litter, which can be considered the most universal litter. It is almost odorless and totally non-toxic. It can
be used separately or along with any other Gimbi litter. It has excellent absorbing capacity and odors’ control power. Its especially
soft consistency saves such animals as rabbits or Guinea-pigs from an overpressure on their very delicate soles. Its ideal use entails the
replacement of wet and dirty parts every two days at the longest, which can be easily done with a plastic scoop. It can be disposed of as
wet waste. Since they love using it as a funny hiding-place, small animals such as hamsters, mice and gerbils really enjoy this kind of litter.
As far as chinchillas and degus are concerned, this litter can be used together with a litter in grains; we advise to spread the two litters
in separate parts of the abode, without piling them up. In this way the animals can enjoy
pleasant dry baths. In animals such as rabbits or long-haired Guinea-pigs, this litter could get
stuck to the hair, but it can be easily removed with a brush or a medium teeth comb.

Questa lettiera si presenta in cilindretti lucidi e compatti, che
danno subito un’idea di pulito e igienico. È adatta a tutte le razze
di conigli e di roditori. Le parti bagnate che sono da rimuovere si
riconoscono facilmente, perché cambiano colore diventando
più scure ed aumentando di dimensioni. Le sue capacità di
assorbimento sono ottime, avendo proprio la capacità di
assorbire i liquidi nel cilindretto, limitandone molto anche gli
odori. È utilissima in associazione con il truciolo in particolare in
cavie e conigli, infatti la compattezza dei cubetti può rivelarsi
talvolta eccessiva per le zone plantari di questi animali; problema
che si ovvia facilmente ponendo uno strato superiore di truciolo,
ed uno strato inferiore di lettiera di legno pressato; così facendo
si sfrutta sia la grande capacità assorbente del cubetto, sia la
morbidezza del truciolo. Nei piccoli animali come criceti, topolini
e gerbilli si può utilizzare anche da sola, e la sua forma attira
molto la curiosità di questi animali, che oltre ad utilizzarla come
lettiera la usano anche come gioco, divertendosi a sminuzzarla e
a spostarla nella dimora. Totalmente naturale si può smaltire con
l’umido.

it into bits or moving it into their abodes. It is completely natural
and can be disposed of as wet waste.

È una lettiera adatta sia a conigli, che a roditori per via delle dimensioni
dei suoi granuli. Ha un aroma di limone molto gradevole, ma non
troppo forte da disturbare l’olfatto delicato di questi animali. Le
capacità di assorbimento sono ottime e l’effetto tampone sugli odori
è molto valido. Non genera polveri, che potrebbero essere inalate in
particolare dai conigli. Anche se umida ha pochissima propensione
ad attaccarsi al pelo ed al corpo dell’animale. Le parti sporche e/o
bagnate sono facilmente rimovibili. È biodegradabile, naturale e
riciclabile al 100%. In animali quali il coniglio, la cavia ed i cincillà può
essere utilizzata in associazione al truciolo, disponendoli o in zone
separate, oppure disponendo uno strato di granuli sul fondo della
dimora ed uno strato di truciolo sopra; così si otterrà un doppio potere
di assorbimento e si eviterà l’effetto leggermente abrasivo dei granuli.
Dai cincillà e dai degu del Cile viene utilizzata anche per la pratica
dei cosiddetti “bagni a secco”, che sono molto graditi a questi animali
per rimuovere le impurità del pelo. Nei piccoli roditori come i criceti, i
topolini ed i gerbilli è molto adatta per essere ammucchiata e spostata
a scopo ludico.

wood shavings litter, by placing them in separate parts of the tray or
cage, or by spreading out a first layer of corn-cob granulates litter on
the bottom of the tray and a second layer of wood shavings on top of
it. In this way a double absorbing power will be obtained, avoiding the
slightly abrasive effect of the granules. Chinchillas and degus use this
litter for the so-called “dry-bath”. These kind of animals really enjoy this
treatment to get rid of their hair impurities. As far as small rodents, such
as hamsters, mice and gerbils are concerned, it is perfect to be staked
up and moved around with a recreational purpose.
