New for 2016, JOP is published
12 times per year. JOP provides
oncologists and other oncology
professionals with information
and tools to enhance practice
efficiency and promote a
high standard for quality of
patient care. All original reports will be presented in
a novel, standardized format called ReCAP (Research
Contributions Abbreviated for Print) - a short, structured
summary of the study which highlights the central
question being asked by the work, and outlines the
main findings of the authors. Also, each issue of JOP
will include three clinical reviews that will focus on
pertinent problems in delivering care.

Licensing Opportunities
Portal Formats
Educational portals provide the opportunity for
sponsors to host custom ASCO collections on an access
controlled site or through a pre-existing log-in entry
point. Sponsors can select their preferred portal format
based on engagement strategy and access preferences.
Bulk Subscriptions
Access to educational portals can be arranged by

ASCO Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting brings together over 30,000
oncology professionals from a broad range of
specialties. More than half of those attendees
come from countries outside the US, broadening
the global exchange of the latest oncology
developments.
Around 5,000 peer-reviewed abstracts are published
for each Annual Meeting, with over 1000
presentations captured for ASCO’s Virtual Meeting.

Abstract Collections
Published as a supplement to JCO, the ASCO Annual
Meeting Proceedings contains all abstracts presented
at the latest ASCO Annual Meeting. Around 5,000
peer-reviewed abstracts are presented each year,
representing the very best in clinical and translational
science results. Proceedings are also available for each
of ASCO’s co-sponsored symposia.
Annual Meeting
Educational Book
All abstracts are embargoed until they are publicly
released by ASCO. However, Springer Healthcare can
perform abstract searches before the embargo is lifted.
Springer Healthcare can identify and collate selected
abstract collections based on these searches that can be
readied for reprint distribution in advance of the Annual
Meeting or symposia, in order to take advantage of the
buzz surrounding the latest research presented
The Educational Book is the comprehensive resource
for supportive materials from all of the Annual
Meeting’s educational sessions. Content includes
expert discussions of critical research in a point-of-care
context, focusing on current standards of care, as well
as treatments still on the horizon. The Educational Book
contents are peer-reviewed and MEDLINE-indexed.

What is colorectal cancer?
Colorectal cancer is a disease in which normal
cells in the lining of the colon or rectum change
and grow uncontrollably. This cell growth can form
a noncancerous polyp that can become a cancerous
tumor over time. Most colon and rectal cancers are
a type of tumor called adenocarcinoma. Colorectal
cancer is the third most common type of cancer
diagnosed in men and women in the United States.
