Oltre 300m$ di fatturato cumulato nel periodo complessivo di durata dei contratti Autogrill rinnova le concessioni negli scali USA di Salt Lake City, Dallas e Wichita Milano, 18 maggio 2006 – Il Gruppo Autogrill (Milano: AGL IM), attraverso la controllata americana HMSHost, si è aggiudicato l’estensione di tre contratti per la gestione di attività food & beverage e retail negli aeroporti internazionali di Salt Lake City, Dallas e Wichita. Le concessioni genereranno, nel periodo di durata complessiva, un fatturato cumulato di oltre 300m$. Salt Lake City International Airport HMSHost ha esteso fino al 2011 il contratto nel Salt Lake City International Airport, con una previsione di fatturato cumulato di oltre 230m$ nel periodo. L’accordo prevede sia la ristrutturazione di punti vendita di ristorazione e retail esistenti (Starbucks Coffee, Simply Books, Brookstone, Sporting Eyes, Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Grill & Bar e Wilson’s Leather) sia l’inserimento di nuovi concept quali Wolfang Puck Express, Quiznos Subs e Blue Burrito Grille, che spaziano dal classico ristorante al tavolo curato da uno dei più noti chef del mondo a un’offerta di regimi dietetici fino ai tradizionali sandwich. Importante motore di sviluppo per l’economia dello Stato dello Utah, l’aeroporto internazionale di Salt Lake City è uno dei maggiori scali della “Mountain West region” statunitense. Con oltre 11 milioni di passeggeri l’anno, lo scalo collega più di 90 città per un totale di 900 voli in transito ogni giorno. Dallas-Ft Worth International Airport HMSHost, in joint-venture con il partner locale Howell-Mickens LLC, ha siglato con il Dallas-Ft Worth International Airport il rinnovo della concessione per 10 punti vendita retail. L’accordo, della durata di 5 anni, genererà un fatturato cumulato superiore a 57m$. All’interno dei nuovi locali verranno proposti marchi legati all’artigianato e alle specialità locali, come Lone Star Emporium, accanto ai più noti brand del retail “dell’informazione in tempo reale” come News Connection e Fox NewsChannel Newsstand, frutto di un accordo tra HMSHost e una delle più accreditate emittenti televisive americane. Forniscono servizi di informazione 24 ore su 24 con ampio utilizzo di strumenti di Information & Communication Tecnology per soddisfare le nuove esigenze dei viaggiatori. Il Dallas-Ft Worth International Airport, con più di 59 milioni di passeggeri in transito ogni anno e oltre 1.800 voli giornalieri (119 linee domestiche e 33 destinazioni internazionali non-stop), è il quarto scalo al mondo per traffico dopo Atlanta, Chicago e Los Angeles (fonte: ACI). Wichita Mid-Continent International Airport Infine, HMSHost si è aggiudicata il rinnovo del contratto per la gestione di attività food & beverage e retail nel Wichita Mid-Continent International Airport, che prevede un fatturato cumulato di oltre 13m$ fino al 2010 e l’introduzione di nuovi concept in aggiunta alla ristrutturazione dei punti vendita già esistenti. Con 1,4 milioni di passeggeri nel 2005 e più di 100 voli al giorno, il Wichita Mid-Continent International Airport è il primo aeroporto del Kansas. Con 83 location negli scali di Stati Uniti, Canada, Australia, Malesia e Nuova Zelanda nei primi tre mesi dell’anno HMSHost ha realizzato nel canale aeroportuale ricavi per 385,8m$, (pari al 39% del fatturato consolidato) con un incremento del 6,1% rispetto al corrispondente periodo 2005. The concessions will generate total accumulated sales of over $300m during the contract periods. Salt Lake City International Airport HMSHost has extended its Salt Lake City contract to 2011 and expects to see accumulated sales of over $230m in that period. The agreement involves both rebuilding of the existing food & beverage and retail points of sale (Starbucks Coffee, Simply Books, Brookstone, Sporting Eyes, Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Grill & Bar, and Wilson’s Leather) and the introduction of new concepts such as Wolfang Puck Express, Quiznos Subs and Blue Burrito Grille, thus ranging from a classic table-service restaurant run by one of the world’s most famous chefs to an offering of low-fat foods and to traditional sandwiches. A major engine of strong economic growth in the State of Utah, Salt Lake City’s international airport moves over 11 million passengers a year and is one of the biggest airports in the Mountain West region of the United States.
