First held in 2015 thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Economic Development as part
of the Special Made in Italy Promotion Plan, in collaboration with ICE Agency and Confindustria
Marmomacchine, The Italian Stone Theatre is the heart of excellence, research and innovation
in the Made in Italy marble, natural stone and technology sector ensuring maximum visibility
to know how. The Hall is home to shows set up thanks to the work of the most important
international architects and designers “paired” with Italian exhibitors.
The Italian Stone Theatre è il cuore dell’eccellenza, della ricerca e dell’innovazione del comparto
del marmo, della pietra e delle tecnologie Made in Italy. Un padiglione caratterizzato da mostre
realizzate da architetti e designer internazionali “abbinati” alle Aziende espositrici italiane, nato
nel 2015 grazie anche al contributo del Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico, nell’ambito del Piano
per la Promozione Straordinaria del Made in Italy, con la collaborazione dell’ICE e di Confindustria
Marmomacchine.

ARCHMARATHON AWARD
An international architectural event bringing together 42 design firms from various countries
around the world as well as the involvement of a great many visiting architects through a
unique approach. Collaboration between Archmarathon and Marmomacc sees the creation of

a new “Stone Award” and scouting for award participants during Marmomacc shows in 2016,
2017 and 2018.

Veronafiere is the only trade exhibition organizer that provides specific continuing professional
development courses to architects, recognized by the most prestigious international

an American Institute of Architects (AIA) continuing education provider in 1998 In 2004, the
AIA recognized Veronafiere as a “Best Practices and Trends in Continuing Education” provider.

An intense programme of conventions, conferences, lectio magistralis and seminars is
scheduled in the Marble Forum, a space set up in Hall 1 dedicated to meetings between
architects, designers, engineers, technicians, sector professionals, students, professors
and researchers from various universities who in this context will explore numerous issues
associated with the stone industry from a variety of angles and perspectives.
Una fitta agenda di convegni, conferenze, lectio magistralis e seminari, collocati all’interno
del Forum, uno spazio all’interno del Padiglione 1 dedicato all’incontro tra architetti, designer,
ingegneri, tecnici, professionisti del settore, studenti, docenti e ricercatori provenienti da
università italiane ed estere, che potranno in questo contesto approfondire ogni tematica legata al
comparto litico.

A number of exhibitors displays works in natural stone in some of the most enchanting squares
of Verona and a photo contest during Marmomacc and through to 30 October 2016. The event
is organized in coordination with the Verona Order of Architects and in collaboration with the
Verona City Council.
