Barolo Cerequio “Aboard Jancis Robinson`s Noah`s ark”
Barolo Cerequio “Aboard Jancis Robinson’s Noah’s ark” Jancis Robinson, the world’s most influential wine journalist, gave the magazine “L’Enologo'' a wide-ranging interview on Italian wines. At the end of the conversation, the interviewer asked her a question: ''What are the Italian wines that, over your many years of working experience, have excited you the most and that, if there were another universal flood, you would take with you on Noah’s Ark?'' Jancis replied, ''If I look at my tasting notes of 10,000 Italian wines, I see my favourites are: Sassicaia 1985, Reserva Recioto di Quintarelli 1990, Riserva Soldera Vigna Institieti 1993, Barolo Cerequio Michele Chiarlo 2001, La Poja Allegrini 1983, Radici Reserva 1968 Mastroberardino, Monfortino Giacomo Conterno 1999 and San Leonardo 1999. This is probably the most authoritative and prestigious accolade that our Cerequio has ever received.
