SyNOpSIS
On the night of November 5th, 2025, a child called Angela disappears. Around this umpteenth missing-persons
case will intertwine the lives and stories of a young inspector, Ada, a young woman in search of her little sister
who disappeared many years before; and finally Eddi, a transsexual speaker of a late night radio programme.

La notte del 5 novembre 2025 scompare una bambina di
nome Angela. Intorno a questo ennesimo caso di sparizione
si intrecceranno le vite e le storie di un giovane Ispettore,
di Ada, una giovane donna alla ricerca della sua piccola
sorella scomparsa molti anni prima; ed infine di Eddi un
transessuale speaker di un programma radiofonico notturno.
La nuit du 5 novembre 2025 disparaît une petite fille qui
s’appelle Angela. A partir de ce nouveau cas de disparition,
les vies de différentes personnes vont se croiser; celle d’un
jeune inspecteur, celle d’Ada, une jeune femme à la recherche
de sa petite soeur disparue plusieurs années auparavant et
celle d’Eddi, un transsexuel animateur d’une radio nocturne.

“Cain’s Shadow” is set in the dialectics between violence and nonviolence, proposing a reflection on a real construction of meaning
for the future. Therefore, in a place and at a time when the frantic search for material wellbeing blinds man, denying him the chance
to look towards the future; the intention is to develop an ethical conflict of generations that puts adults in comparison with what,
by definition, we could define the generation of the future: children. Intergenerational conflict: present and future. Investigating
the meaning and intention of adults to build a future , leading to a reflection on the construction of tomorrow on an ethical basis.

“L’Ombra di Caino” si inserisce nella dialettica tra
violenza e non violenza , proponendo così una riflessione
su una reale costruzione di senso per il futuro.
pertanto, in un luogo e in un tempo dove la ricerca spasmodica
di un benessere materiale acceca l’uomo, negandogli la
possibilità di portare il proprio sguardo verso il futuro; si
intende voler sviluppare un conflitto etico generazionale
che pone gli adulti a confronto con ciò che, per definizione,
potremmo definire la generazione del futuro: i bambini. Quindi,
due età a confronto, due tempi a confronto: il presente
e il futuro. Indagare il senso e le volontà di costruzione
del futuro da parte delle generazione adulte, riportando
la riflessione della costruzione del domani su basi etiche.
“L’Ombre de Caïn” s’insère dans la dialectique entre violence
et non violence, en proposant ainsi une réflexion sur une réelle
construction sensée pour le futur. En conséquence, dans
un endroit et dans un temps où la recherche spasmodique
d’un bien-être matériel aveugle l’homme, lui empêchant de
porter le regard vers le futur, le film tente de soulever un
problème éthique générationel en positionnant les adultes
en conflit avec ce que, par définition, nous pourrions appeler
la génération du futur: les enfants. Ainsi, deux âges se font
face, deux générations se font face: le présent et le futur.
Il s’agit de rechercher le sens et la volonté de construire
le futur du côté des générations adultes en repoussant
l’idée de construire ce futur sur des bases éthiques.

Antonio De palo was born in molfetta in 1981. After graduating in Communication Sciences at Università degli studi di Bari he got a
diploma in film Direction at the Accademia Europea di Cinema e Televisione Rosebud of Rome. his short films have been shown in over
40 countries and over 100 festivals, winning numerous awards. Some of the prestigious festivals in which he has participated: festival
International Cinéma méditerranéen Tétouan, Belgrade Documentary and Shorts film festival, Newport Beach film festival, festival
International du film Europeen de Lille, New york City International film festival, San Luis Obispo International film festival, gwangju
International film festival and many others. furthermore, he is associate director and assistant director on various professional sets.

Antonio De palo è nato a molfetta nel 1981. Dopo la Laurea
in Scienze della Comunicazione presso l’Università degli
studi di Bari si è diplomato in regia cinematografica presso
l’Accademia Europea di Cinema e Televisione Rosebud di
Roma. I suoi cortometraggi sono stati presentati in oltre
40 paesi e in più di 100 festival ottenendo numerosi premi.
Alcuni dei prestigiosi festival a cui ha partecipato: festival
International Cinéma méditerranéen Tétouan, Belgrade
Documentary and Shorts film festival, Newport Beach
film festival, festival International du film Europeen de
Lille,New york City International film festival, San Luis Obispo
International film festival, gwangju International film festival
e moltissimi altri ancora. Inoltre, lavora come assistente alla
regia e aiuto regista in diversi set professionali .
Antonio De palo est né à molfetta en 1981. Après avoir
fait une licence en science de communication à l’Université
de Bari, il s’est diplômé en réalisation cinématographique à
l’Académie Européenne du Cinéma et de la Télévision Rosebud
de Rome. Ses courts métrages ont été présenté dans plus de
40 pays et dans plus de 100 festival en obtenant de nombreux
prix. Voici une liste de quelques festivals prestigieux dans
