È stato il nonno Giuseppe Zamberlan®, nel 1929, subito dopo la Grande Guerra, ad iniziare l’attività di
calzolaio. Seguendo il suo istinto e la grande passione per la montagna, le Piccole Dolomiti, ai cui piedi
ha sede la Zamberlan®, e grazie ad un innato talento creativo, nell’arco di pochi anni passa dalla sola
riparazione alla realizzazione completa delle calzature.
Presto intuisce la scarsa valenza delle uniche suole allora disponibili - in cuoio, con borchie di ferro - e
condivide le rivoluzionarie idee di Vitale Bramani, fondatore della Vibram®, che supporta nello studio
e sviluppo di suole in gomma dando inizio ad un’innovazione decisa per il futuro. Sempre attento al
dettaglio e alla qualità e per adeguare l’attività a maggiori standard qualitativi e di servizio acquista i
primi macchinari, avvia rapporti con i fornitori di materie prime, assume qualche collaboratore e dà
inizio ad un piccolo laboratorio. Un sapiente mix di competenze, passione e investimenti trasformano
così una tradizionale bottega da calzolaio in una vera realtà produttiva all’avanguardia.
La famiglia rappresenta un punto di riferimento fondamentale: la moglie Maria partecipa attivamente
alla produzione divenendo un’esperta orlatrice e il figlio Emilio affianca il padre nella produzione
delle scarpe fino a subentrargli e continuare il lavoro proiettando l’azienda verso i mercati esteri,
supportato dalla moglie che da sempre lo affianca nella conduzione degli affari.
Da oltre 35 anni Zamberlan® è presente in più di 45 paesi europei ed extraeuropei ed esporta oltre il
90% della sua produzione mondiale. La gestione dell’azienda è oggi in mano a Marco e Maria, la terza
generazione, ai quali è stata tramandata una grande passione per la montagna e per il loro lavoro
che li impegna in tutte le fasi di progettazione, costruzione, test e distribuzione. Con loro l’azienda
è pronta a consolidare la sua distribuzione globale e dirigersi verso nuovi mercati, continuando a
dare ad ogni singolo paio di scarpe la stessa attenzione che il nonno Giuseppe dava alle prime scarpe
firmate Zamberlan®.
Ad oltre 85 anni dalla fondazione, il Calzaturificio Zamberlan® continua a produrre in Italia i modelli
più prestigiosi della collezione e ad essere gestito dalla famiglia, coadiuvata da validi collaboratori
ed esperti tecnici calzaturieri: la passione assicura il tramandarsi della qualità, del comfort, della
performance.

Giuseppe Zamberlan®, the grandfather, started the “activity” right after the end of World War 1. From
simple shoe repair he moved on to footwear production, driven both by his instinct and by his big passion
for his local mountain range, the Piccole Dolomiti, where the company is located.
He understood the poor performance of the early existing soles – made of leather with iron studs – and
he both shared and supported the revolutionary ideas of Vitale Bramani, founder of Vibram®, who was
studying and developing rubber soles at the time. This type of sole became accepted around the world for
majority of future boot production.
Always keeping an eye on the detail and quality, he bought the companies first machinery and started
relationships with suppliers of raw materials, eventually employing some co-workers and starting a small
workshop. A wise mix of good skills, passion and investments made a traditional shoe makers family
enterprise into a true production reality.
The family were of great importance to him in particular his wife, Maria,who became a skilled machinist
and sewer. Emilio, his son, grew up with the same huge passion for the mountains and helped his father to
produce shoes until he gradually succeeded him. He continued his father’s work in directing the company
towards foreign markets. Emilio was also supported by his own wife who helped him by managing the
company. Zamberlan® has been distributing to multiple European and Worldwide markets for more than
35 years, and more than 90% of its production is destined for export.
Now it is the turn of the third generation, Marco and Maria to manage the family company. Like their
forefathers, they too inherited the enduring love and enjoyment of the mountains, which shows in their
work, this takes them through all stages of designing, manufacturing, testing and distributing the most
comfortable footwear, giving each pair of boot the same value their grandfather Giuseppe gave to the first
Zamberlan® boot he signed.
85 years after Zamberlan®’s beginnings, the brand is distributed in more than 40 countries and continues
to manufacture it’s most traditional and prestigious models in Italy. Zamberlan® is still managed and run by
the family, ably assisted by a valuable team and supported by skilled shoe technicians: this passion assures
the continuing tradition of quality, comfort and performance.

The boots in this category are designed for high level mountaineering and are suitable for use on high routes in the mountains, glaciers and ice climbing.
They are lasted to provide a precise fit, maximum sensitivity and great performance. Some of them feature single piece uppers, thick premium grade
Hydrobloc® leather, tough hardware, stiff midsoles and Vibram® outer-soles. They can be used with a variety of crampons,
although exact choice and fitting depends on the performance and intended use of the boot.

gomma, profilo alto del gambetto per protezione, flessibile e stabile. La costruzione norvegese permette la risuolatura e quindi

Questo particolare metodo di costruzione denominato “Goodyear” implica che le scarpe richiedano
più tempo ed attenzione nella costruzione, avvalendosi dell’esperienza e manualità preziosa di
artigiani specializzati.
La parte superiore della scarpa, viene cucita insieme ad una striscia di cuoio (nota anche come
“guardolo”) al sottopiede, fissando insieme anche la tomaia e la fodera. Successivamente viene
incollata l’intersuola e fissata attraverso una seconda cucitura tipica di questo genere di lavorazione.
Nell’intercapedine tra sottopiede e suola è collocata un’anima riempitiva con una colla adesiva ad alta
resistenza per perfezionare la costruzione.
La lavorazione Goodyear è molto apprezzata per la morbidezza, flessibilità e comfort immediato che
sono propri di questo prodotto.
The Goodyear welt process is a type of shoe construction used by only a handful of highly skilled craftsmen,
this is due to the time and dedication it takes to master this technique.
The upper part of the shoe is fastened to the insole by sewing a leather strip (also known as the “welt”), this
connects the upper and the lining too. The midsole is then glued and sewed with a second stitch.
Between the insole and the outsole a layer of filling is added with a high strength adhesive glue for extra
padding and comfort.
The main benefits of the Goodyear welt are its softness and flexibility making the shoes super comfortable
from the day you buy them.

Zamberlan® ha progettato e sviluppato svariate forme, basate sulle diverse caratteristiche anatomiche del piede e tenendo conto
dell’utilizzo finale specifico del prodotto. Di base offrono tutte una calzata confortevole, non troppo lunga e dal buon volume interno. Per
assicurare che la scarpa acquisisca al meglio la forma e la mantenga a lungo, è stato sviluppato il Foot Wrapping Last Process.
Il piede svolge un ruolo molto importante sia nel sostenere il peso dell’intero corpo sia nella locomozione. Esso governa un po’ tutti
i movimenti che gambe, bacino, tronco, braccia e spalle faranno nel corso della camminata. Il contatto del suolo con il tacco (appoggio
calcaneare A) deve essere ben accentuato in modo da permettere al piede di compiere il passaggio verso l’appoggio di piena pianta (appoggio
completo B) e le successive fasi di pre-spinta (C) e di spinta (D). Lo studio delle forme Zamberlan® e la costruzione delle calzature Zamberlan®
tengono in considerazione ed in pieno rispetto tutti gli aspetti anatomici del piede: un investimento per i nostri piedi.

the foot and on different end uses.
As a rule, they are all comfortable, not too long
and have a good volume. To ensure the boot will
take and maintain the shape for a long time,
Zamberlan® developed the Foot Wrapping
Last Process. The foot plays an important role
in supporting the weight of the entire body and
in locomotion. The bones of the foot are arched
longitudinally to help facilitate the support
function.
The transverse arch helps with movements of
the foot. These movements help keep the sole
(plantar surface) in contact with the ground
despite the unevenness of the ground surface.
They also work in concert with the ankle joint
to help propel the foot off the ground during the
toe off portion of gait.The engineering of the lasts
and the Zamberlan® footwear construction
take into account all the anatomical aspects of
the foot: an investment for your feet.

Materiale di rinforzo punta.

La particolare costruzione GORE-TEX® Bootee prevede l’accoppiamento della tomaia della calzatura con la membrana GORE-TEX® per sfruttarne le proprietà impermeabili e traspiranti.
L’affidabilità della fodera e il sistema costruttivo garantiscono resistenza, comfort e protezione.
Lavorazione tradizionale ed estremamente resistente, che necessita di una grande esperienza per la esecuzione. Prevede una
doppia cucitura: la prima unisce tomaia al sottopiede (che deve essere appositamente sviluppato per questo tipo di costruzione)
la seconda cucitura fissa la tomaia all’intersuola che poi verrà incollata alla suola.
