DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO CASTIGLIONCELLO DEL TRINORO

If you have GPS Device, you can program it for Castiglioncello di Trinoro (in the township of Sarteano,

FROM AUTOSTRADA (FLORENCE OR ROME)
Take the A1 Autostrada, if you arrive from Florence go to Roma direction. If you arrive from Rome, go to
Firenze direction. Take the exit CHIUSI-CHIANCIANO TERME, after paying the toll (they accept credit
cards), take the left, SARTEANO direction. When in Sarteano go straight at the round.about then, after the
traffic light, take left at the second turn: CASTIGLIONCELLO DEL TRINORO direction. After about 3 km
you take the graver road on the right, always Castiglioncello directions. After about 2 km you reach the
village, go into it (there is only one little road!) and after 100 metres you will see the Monteverdi Concierge
on your right.
FROM SIENA:
Take the SS2 CASSIA south out of SIENA. This road winds through some small towns, (and has a short
5km dual lane bypass that skirts Monteroni-Just keep following the ROMA signs). Follow the SS2 all the
way until 5km past the town of SAN QUIRICO. Here you turn left (signed for CHIANCIANO) onto the SP53
(if you reach the turn to BAGNO VIGNONI you have just missed it). Follow this road straight through a 4
way intersection (Follow signs straight for CHIANCIANO). After 5km from the intersection, you see an
overpass crossing above you. Take the ramp under and on the left to get up onto this road (Signed again
for the A1 AUTOSTRADA and CHIANCIANO). Here the road begins to wind up the hill. You pass the
Ristorante Dopo Lavoro della Foce. After the Restaurant take the first sideway on your right (you see Villa
La Foce in front of you). Stay on this tree-lined dirt road as it passes a few houses, a small cemetery etc,
after about 6 km it will take you all the way to the parking area for the village of Castiglioncello. You can
leave the car there and “climb” the only road that goes through the village, after about 200 mt you will find
the Monteverdi Concierge on your right.
FROM CHIUSI TRAIN STATION:
From the train station you will need to go straight ahead following the green sign to A1 AUTOSTRADA and
SARTEANO. Keep following the road for around 3 Km until you arrive at the junction for the Autostrada A1
and take direction to SARTEANO. When in Sarteano go straight at the round about then, after the traffic
light, take left at the second turn: CASTIGLIONCELLO DEL TRINORO direction. After about 3 km you take
the graver road on the right, always Castiglioncello directions. After about 2 km you reach the village, go
into it (there is only one little road!) and after 100 metres you will see the Monteverdi Concierge on your
right.
