Un caffè da Maestro…
D.I.D. srl presenta in anteprima in Italia il vincitore del Grand
Grand Barista Championship
In occasione dell’apertura dell’Host, il 23 ottobre, il gruppo dirigente di D.I.D. srl sarà
particolarmente lieto di offrire agli ospiti dello stand (Hall 9p/1 – Stand U28) un caffè preparato
personalmente dal barman di Melbourne, Jesse Hyde, vincitore del primo premio dell’annuale
edizione del concorso Grand Barista Championship (il secondo premio è andato a una donna,
Alexandra Stathis).
Jesse Hyde sarà presente le prime tre giornate, 23-24-25 ottobre per dar prova del gran talento
dimostrato all’evento Gran Barista 2009. Nato da un’idea di Paul Jackson, Presidente illuminato
della torrefazione australiana Danes Gourmet Coffee (fra i migliori produttori di caffè nel mondo), il
concorso è nato nel 2001 con l’obiettivo di individuare e promuovere l’eccellenza nel settore del
caffè espresso.
Per la prima volta quest’anno il Concorso ha visto la partecipazione di D.I.D. srl, la piccola ma
vivacissima azienda italiana che progetta, realizza e commercializza macchine da caffè espresso
professionali, per il settore HO.RE.CA.. Il successo riscosso dalle passate edizioni, riservate ai
Paesi dell’area australiana, e la nuova prestigiosa partnership con l’azienda italiana, hanno
convinto gli organizzatori ad allargare l’edizione dal 2010 a tutto il pianeta. La filosofia del concorso
si sposa perfettamente con quella della dirigenza di D.I.D., che progetta e realizza il suo prodotto
come un raffinato strumento d’arte, da affidare alle cure di un maestro capace e appassionato, in
grado di trarne delle opere uniche per dilettare il pubblico.

A Master Coffee ...
D.I.D. S.r.l. is previewing in Italy the winner of the Grand Barista Championship
At the opening of Host on October 23, the management team of DID S.r.l. is inviting guests to the
DID stand U28 in Hall 9p/1 to enjoy coffee specially prepared by the barman from Melbourne
Australia, Jesse Hyde, winner of the annual Grand Barista Championship.
Jesse Hyde will attend HOST for three days, October 23-24-25 October to show off his talent
which won him the Grand Barista Championship 2009. The brainchild of Paul Jackson, innovative
chairman of the Australian coffee roasting company Danes, (one of the best coffee producers in
the world), the Grand Barista Championship competition which began in 2001 is aimed at
identifying and promoting excellence in the sector of the espresso.
For the first time, company DID S.r.l. joined the Grand Barista Championship as Gold sponsor.
DID S.rl. is a small but lively Italian organization that designs, manufactures and markets
professional espresso coffee machines for the industry HO.RE.CA.. Due to the success of past
GBC events (GBC previously only operating in Australia), a new and prestigious partnership has
been forged between Danes and the Italian company which will see the event expand in 2010 to
more parts of the world.
