IT L’Hotel Mediterraneo nacque nel 1938 con un progetto
maestoso: l’albergo supera i cinquanta metri d’altezza,
arriva a dieci piani con 251 camere, ed è l’edificio più alto
del centro storico, costruito sull’Esquilino, il più alto dei
sette colli. L’Hotel Mediterraneo è un esempio di Decò a
Roma: 10 piani di severo razionalismo classicista arricchito
da rivestimenti in marmo e legno pregiato. La sua posizione
centralissima, l’ albergo si trova a 100 mt dalla Stazione
Termini e dal collegamento ferroviario diretto con l’aeroporto
di Fiumicino, ogni 30 minuti, permette di visitare a piedi la
Fontana di Trevi, il Colosseo, il Museo Nazionale Romano
e di Palazzo Massimo.
Al 10° piano sono situate 7 luminose suites con terrazze
ed anche un Roof Garden (aperto a pranzo e a cena con
servizio bar e ristorante), che godono di una straordinaria
veduta su tutta Roma. L’Hotel Mediterraneo dispone inoltre
di un Ristorante. L’Hotel Mediterraneo può anche ospitare
convegni fino a 130 persone nelle sue tre sale riunioni,
fornite delle principali attrezzature tecniche.
EN The Hotel Mediterraneo was designed in 1938 as an
impressive grand hotel. The hotel is over fifty metres
high, with its ten floors and 251 rooms, it is the highest
building in the historic centre, on the Esquilino, the highest
of Rome’s seven hills. The hotel Mediterraneo is a fine
example of Art Deco: 10 floors of severe but elegant classical rationalism enriched by marble and polished wood. Its
central location, the hotel is located 100 m from the Termini
Station and its direct railway connection to Fiumicino airport
with departures every 30 minutes, allows an easy walk to
the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Opera House, the
National Roman Museum.
On the 10 th floor there are 7 suites with terraces and a Roof
Garden (open for lunch and dinner with bar and restaurant
service), from which one enjoys an extraordinary view over
Rome. The hotel Mediterraneo also has a restaurant. The
hotel Mediterraneo can also accommodate up to 130 people
in its three meeting rooms with every modern technological
equipment.
