Questions with "who", "what" and "which"
Domande con "who", "what" and "which"
In the questions which have "who", "what"
or "which" as a subject, the verb comes
immediately after the question word and
it can be in the third person singular or in the
simple past tense. "Do", "does", "did" are not
used. Look at these questions in which the
only subject is the question word:
Nelle frasi interrogative in cui appaiono "who" (chi),
"what" (cosa) o "which" (quale), il verbo segue immediatamente il pronome interrogativo e può essere
impiegato anche alla terza persona singolare e al simple
past tense. "Do", "does", "did" non vengono utilizzati.
Osserva queste domande in cui l'unico soggetto è il pronome interrogativo.

"Who lives here?"
"Who came to your party?"
"What happened?"
"Which works better?"
Remember that when the question has another subject and "who", "what" or
"which" are the object you must use "do",
"does" or "did".
- "Who did you invite to the party?"
- "What did you do?"
- "Which do you want?"
“Chi vive qui?”
“Chi viene alla tua festa?”
“Cos'è successo?”
“Quale lavora meglio?”
Ricorda che quando la domanda ha un altro soggetto e
quando "who", "what" o "which" sono complementi, si
deve usare "do", "does" o "did".
- “Chi hai invitato alla festa?”
- “Che cosa hai fatto?”
- “Quale vuoi?”
