Alternating theory and practice, the course will show different techniques, processes and approaches. COURSE OBJECTIVES The main objective of the course is to make students aware of all the areas in which illustration can be applied, and to provide them the tools to create fascinating handmade images COURSE OUTPUT (portfolio, By the end of the course, each student will have a portfolio of illustrations (whose project, presentation etc.) number may vary from 4 to 6, depending on the students' level). The illustrations will concern publishing (magazines and book covers), animation (inspirational drawings) and children books. LEARNING OUTCOMES Students will learn the basic technical and artistic skills necessary to turn their imagination into professional illustrations. Furthermore, they will learn the different approaches necessary to create images that fulfill the expectations of the client. ATTENDANCE POLICY COURSE POLICY TEACHING METHODS BIBLIOGRAPHY and/or REFERENCE WEB SITES Professors’ CV Class attendance is required for successful completion of the course. Attendance will be taken every class period. On the last day of classes, instructors will issue a Certificate of successful attendance only to all students who completed at least 80% of the course. The Faculty of NABA takes Academic integrity seriously. Instances of academic dishonesty such as plagiarism won’t be tolerated. Mobile phones will be kept switched off all the time during class. Use of laptop during classes for personal purposes is forbidden. Since 1998 he has been working as a freelance illustrator, in the areas of animation, publishing and amusement parks design.
