5th PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION “GESTIONE NAVIGAZIONE LAGHI”
The General Management of the public line service on lakes Maggiore, Garda and Como, in order to
enhance and promote the company fleet's typicality and the environment within which it daily plies,
considered the great success of the previous contests, advertises the fifth photography competition
with prizes on theme:
“Sail and shoot: pictures to describe “Navigazione Laghi” motorship and the places you love”.
RULES
1. The competition is open to everybody
2. No admission fee is required.
3. The competition is divided into three sections, as follows:

Lake Maggiore
•
Lake Garda
•
Lake Como
Three distinct lists of winners will be formed, one for each above-mentioned section.
4. The participants can send up to 5 photos for each section (max 15 photos for each participation
request).
5. Features of photos: forwarded photos must be in high resolution JPEG or TIFF format, (saved in
the best mode possible by the participant's camera – 300dpi or more) – vertically too.
Every work must be delivered both in original file on digital support (cd-rom, usb memory, sd
card) and in colour print, 20x30 cm or 30x20 format.
Works must be original, unpublished, never displayed or used at any other time.
6. The numbers in sequence must be quoted on the back of every print, as well as the category in
which the photo participates (these numbers must correspond to the ones quoted in the
participation request).

7. Any photo not pertaining the above-mentioned theme or not in accordance with the present rules
will be peremptorily excluded from the contest.
8. Every participant must be the author and the rightsholder of the forwarded photos. He is also
personally liable for their contents and he commits himself to keep the Management undamaged
from any third parties' claim.
9. The Governmental Management declines any liability for any damages, losses or thefts of the
works, deriving by whatever reason.
10. The submitted works become property of the Governmental Management and they will not be
returned.
11. The Management will be entitled for free, in perpetuity and exclusively, to all the usage,
reproduction, diffusion and modification rights of the forwarded works, nonprofit or anyway for
institutional purposes related to promote its image or the territory in which it works.
The Management reserves the right to allow third parties to use the works for free (their
reproduction and diffusion) exclusively for the above-mentioned purposes.
12. The envelope containing the works shall quote on the top left corner "V° CONCORSO
FOTOGRAFICO", and it must include the digital support on which the files have been saved in
original, as well as the participating request in accordance with the form here attached
(attachment nr. 1 – also available on our website www.navigazionelaghi.it), and it shall be sent or handed in – not later than 31st OCTOBER 2016, to the following address: MINISTERO

We are also informing you that the General Management's offices to deliver the envelopes are
opened from Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00; on Friday only to
16.00.

13. The admission to the contest and the prizes' awards will be realized at the incontestable discretion
of a dedicated judging Committee, nominated by the Governmental Manager.
14. The most deserving work overall will be awarded the cup “V° Concorso Fotografico Gestione
Navigazione Laghi” and a prize money of € 500,00.
The other works will be ranked in three different gradings, one each section mentioned in the
point nr. 3 of the present guideline. The first three works classified in each of these three gradings
will be awarded a trophy and a prize money as follows:
to the 1st place: € 200,00;
to the 2nd place: € 150,00;
to the 3rd place: € 100,00.
Moreover, the Committee reserves the right to assign special prizes at its incontestable discretion
to the unplaced works anyway considered as worthy.
15. The judgement procedure will finish within the end of January 2017. Then, the Governmental
Management will arrange to transmit the contest results as well as the date and place of the
awards ceremony, that will take place in the spring 2017 on Lake Maggiore.
16. The submitted works will be inserted in the Governmental Management's publications.
17. The participation to the contest implies the unconditional acceptance of the present regulations.
18. Collected personal information will be processed pursuant to and in accordance with article 13 of
D.Lgs. 30/06/2003 nr. 196, exclusively in the context of the present competition and for its
connected purposes.
