Sells $8.85 Million Development Site in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Brooklyn, N.Y. / December 2, 2014 – Giuseppe Montalbano of Weichert Realtors® – The Franzese Group is
thrilled to announce its sale of another terrific Brooklyn development site.
The site is located at 67 Havemeyer Street / 282-288 North 6th Street in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Montalbano, who represented both the purchaser
and seller, sold the site for $8.850 Million in an all-cash transaction for +/23,760 buildable square feet.
The purchaser is an active developer in the Brooklyn/Manhattan
area, with many years of experience. The seller owned the property for
almost 40 years, and conducted his business there for a majority of the time.
Negotiations for the property were initiated approximately six months ago.
Due to the attractive location —Williamsburg is one of the most desirable
areas of Brooklyn, with many new developments attracting major retail
tenants — competition was lively, explained Montalbano.
“To accommodate the seller,” Montalbano added, “the purchaser went beyond the terms of a typical
transaction and beat out several other bidders. Once negotiations came to an agreement, they closed in less than
30 days.”
