Ottone Meloda boasts 60 years of
activity as a market leader in the
production of taps and mixers for
bathroom and kitchen.
Founded in 1952 in Pella, Novara
province, near Lake Orta, and
later moving to nearby San
Maurizio D’Opaglio, it was one of
the pioneering companies of the
“Silicon Valley” of Italian
tap-making.
Ottone Meloda and its corporate
history are players on the
worldwide stage, exporting to the
Middle East, Africa, North America,
Asia and the whole of Europe,
and now aiming at new markets
like China and India. A total of 50
countries to whom Ottone Meloda
provided the quality innovation
and utmost environmental
friendliness, the unmistakable
landmark of italian products.
In January of 2015 Ottone Meloda
has been acquired by the
partnership between WTS S.p.A.
and Covarrubias family.

Ottone Meloda vanta oltre 60 anni di presenza da protagonista nel mercato della produzione di rubinetteria sanitaria.
Fondata nel 1952 a Pella (No), a pochi passi dal Lago D’Orta, poi trasferitasi nella vicina San Maurizio D’Opaglio; fra le
prime industrie a dare vita al cosiddetto “distretto dei rubinetti”.
Ottone Meloda e la sua storia hanno per palcoscenico il mondo intero: partendo dal Medio Oriente, passando dal Sud
Africa, interessando gli Stati Uniti, l’intera Europa e, ultimamente, affacciandosi ai nuovi mercati di Cina e India.
Un totale di oltre 50 Paesi, che hanno trovato in Ottone Meloda il segno distintivo di un Made in Italy all’insegna di

altamente qualificati per realizzare tecnologie.
L’ufficio Ricerca e Sviluppo Prodotto utilizza i più moderni sistemi di
progettazione 3D.
Tutti i nostri progetti sono sviluppati su indicazioni del cliente, che viene
aggiornato step by step sull’evoluzione dell’articolo stesso.
Siamo in grado di fornire in tempi brevi un prototipo reale del nuovo prodotto
richiesto. I file tridimensionali del progetto vengono inviati ad una stampante
per prototipazione rapida che ci permette di rendere subito reali e concreti i
vostri progetti.
Tutta la progettazione è ovviamente progettata ed eseguita nel rispetto degli
standards internazionali.
SEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
WTS Group owes its prestige to a constant research for methods and
technologies which over the years have been the key to its development.
The group entrust its research and development department to an highly
skilled team of engineers and technicians in order to carry out innovative
technologies.
The R&D department utilizes the latest 3D design systems. All our projects are
developed according to the instructions of the customer, which is updated step
by step on the development of the item. We are able to provide, in a short time,
an actual prototype of the product required.
The 3D files of the project are sent to a rapid prototyping printer which
allows us to quickly make your projects real and concrete. The whole work is
obviously designed and executed in compliance with the international standards.

Il nuovo processo PWP (Pure Water Process),
ideato da Galvanofinish s.r.l., inibisce il rilascio
nelle acque potabili di metalli tossici quali Piombo
e Nichel, normalmente presenti negli articoli di
rubinetteria.
L’innovativo processo PWP, è costituito da due
trattamenti:
1. il primo garantisce l’eliminazione chimica del
Piombo da rubinetti e valvole;
2. il secondo è rappresentato da un deposito di
Nichel elettrolitico estremamente resistente
alla corrosione, additivato con particolari
prodotti che non permettono il rilascio di Ioni
Nichel a contatto con l’acqua.
Pure Water Process
The new process PWP (Pure Water Process),
developed by Galvanofinish s.r.l., the leaching of
toxics metals as Lead and Nickel in drinking water
is prevented.
The PWP treatment consists of two steps:
1. the first step guarantees the chemical removal
of Lead from faucets, valves, joints made of
brass;
2. the second step consists of the plating with
an electrolical Nickel very hard and corosionproof. It contains additives which avoid the
leaching of Nickel ions when pieces come in
contact with drinking water.

The well known antimicrobial properties of silver are exclusively applied on Ottone Meloda taps thanks to the
ion diffuser ABD, an alloy containing silver and other metals that strengthen the antibacterial activity.

della calda impedisce scottature o il raffreddamento improvviso dell’acqua. L’esempio più frequente è

doccia; nell’ambito professionale troviamo lo stesso problema dai parrucchieri che utilizzano

This device prevents scalding or the sudden cooling of water, while keeping perfectly balanced the outgoing
cold and hot water pressures. The most frequent case is in our houses where, by opening another tap, the
person who is taking a shower can be scalded or get cold water; among professionals we find the same
problem with hairdressers who use different taps at the same time and in all those places with more than one
water outlet, like gym showers for instance.
