This song (called “un’altra te”) was written by Eros Ramazzotti in 1993.
The song tells about a singer who is in love with a girl but in the end Eros (the
author) doesn’t want to make the same mistake: he doesn’t want to be hurt
again.
I have chosen this song because I like it and I also like Eros as a singer.
This is a love song, it is more similar to Petrarch’s style than Shakespeare's.
In fact he praises the girl for her beauty and for her expressions.

but Eros maybe was even more jealous.

This song has been written and sung by Bruno Mars in 2010.
The title “Just the way you are” is dedicated to all the young girls and invite
them to stay just like they are without necessarily follow the current fashion,
or a style. I have chosen this song because I like the singer’s voice, the rythm
of the song and because I share the message which is transmitted by the
song.

In the first stanza, the singer talks about her eyes and her hair and says they’re beautiful.
But she doesn’t believe him so she often asks him, if she looks okay.
In the refrain the singer answers telling her that there isn’t anything which he would
change in her face or her smile because she is beautiful just like she is.
In the second stanza, the singer talks about her lips and her laugh telling they’re sexy
altough she doesn’t like them so he would never ask her to change.
The refrain is replayed twice.

talks about his lost love. James Blunt tries to explain in the title of the song all

was the soundtrack of the film “Armageddon”.
At the beginning of the song, the singer wants to say what he could do for
her. In the refrain, he says what he wouldn’t do to stay away from her
because it should be too much painful for him. Then he explains how he
feels when is close to her. In the end he says what he would like to do
with her.

In this song the author, Plain White, speaks about his love and the distance that separate
them.
In fact his love lives in New York, 1000 miles away, for her studies.
The singer writes this song to be near his love in the difficult times of life , like
Shakespeare.
He also says that he wants to pay for the rent with his guitar and they can overcome every
problem of the time to live they perfect love. Only two years of school separate them and
this song can make them feel near.

Commento della poesia “GODDESS” di Dentico Luca
I wrote this poem to praise my beloved person. I compare her with nature and
mithology. I wrote this poem when I didn’t have a beloved person so I created
this poem thinking of my perfect person to love in my mind.

Here the author means to say that she’s always in his thoughts and he would like to stay
alone with her.
They've not spent much time together and she the is the only one he wants.
She makes him feel bad,but he can’t live without her.

This song was written by the band “Jimi Hendrix Experience" which was a rock group in
the sixties composed by Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.
I've chosen this song because in the text the author compares the girl in the song to
nature, so the song sounds more like a poem.
The first comparison is when the singer says that the hair of the girl glistens like a bird on a
deck so he means that her hair shines in the sun.
In the second comparison the author says that branches attack him from her neck, he
means that he is so attracted by the girl that he can’t go far from her.
In the next comparisons the authors say that the girl is connected to the sky with her eyes
and with her mind.
Than the author says that when he veer he gets so near but he is always far from her,
probably the author here is saying that the girl is so beautiful that she looks abstract and
impossible to be reached.

unattainable, just like an unrequited dream and even though the protagonist
knows it he needs to believe in her.
This song was written by a American band called slipknot. Always,this band
created a hardcore metal song , but , for “Subliminal verses vol.3” wrote 3
acustic melodic songs .In this song the subject is completely unreal,in fact it
was dedicated to a loved woman that was seen by the protagonist as an
ethered entity ( she isn’t real that cannot become real) . The main feeling in
this song is the sadness to not be able to reach the loved woman.

When I’m Gone – EMINEM
This song was written by Eminem in 2005. This song speaks about her exwife Kim and her daughter Hailie.
In the first part, Eminem describes the difficult relation with the family. As we
know, Eminem tried to commit suicide two times, before becoming famous,
and one reason was that he didn’t have enough money to buy a present for
Hailie’s birthday.
In the second part there is an alternation of sad words by Hailie and other
calm words by the singer. In the end of this part, Eminem sees his home that
becomes a stage and sees Hailie at a concert in Sweden that asks him to
come back and says “Daddy it’s me, help Mommy, her wrists are bleeding”
because in that period, Kim had tried to cut her wrists... After this, Eminem
wakes up, because it was just a dream.
The main difference between Shakespeare's sonnet and Eminem’s song is
that the last one is not for the loved one but for his daughter. The sonnet
speaks about the love for his girl and it is ironic. For example he says: “Coral
is far more red than her lips” or “If snow be white; why then her breasts are
dun”.
It is a true love but he doesn’t write like Petrarca, in fact Shakespeare doesn’t
describe the girl as an angel.

This song was written by Vasco Rossi in 1979 . He wrote this song for a
thirteen year old girl that he used to see at the bus stop every day . This song
was the first big success of Vasco Rossi.
In this stanza the author tells about the girl’s attitude in fact he compares her
to a dawn. In the second stanza Vasco says that she never dresses to get
noticed but you can admire her beauty. In this stanza the author looks at the
girl , he notices that she likes studying and he says that she doesn’t need to
be ashamed to be a good student . In this stanza the author says that her
eyes are beautiful but through them you can see that she makes weird
thoughts.

He is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Iglesias started his career in

years Enrique has dominated the charts of international radios especially in
the summer season.

In the first stanza the singer knows very well that the woman he desires is sleeping with
another one but he doesn't feel jealous because he knows that the girl also wants to see

All the kisses that the boy wants to give her need him to get protection and precaution if

In the refrain the singer is telling us that he will follow his love anywhere she would go.
In the second stanza the singer insists on the fact that if she lives with the other man she
will never feel as good as she would feel with the man that really loves her.
In the third stanza, the other singer Wisin, speaks about the difference about the man that
can offer her material richness but make her cry and the other that can make her feel good

Maxim – Noapte Fara Tine
(Night without you)
Maxim is a ‘boy-band’ from Romania created by the songwriter Adrian Sina.
These boys are really loved by the Romanian teens, their songs are the most
played by teens. The band is composed of four young boys Bogdan Medvedi,
Marcus Sucilea, Gabriel Ciobota and Alexander Laiu. The title of the song is
‘Noapte fara tine’, in English ‘Night without you’ and speaks about the love
between two young lovers. The boy wants to make the difference in the
starting relationship trying to convince the girl that he can’t live without her not
even one night; if he had to live only one night without her he would loose the
sense. The girl maybe didn’t understand how much the boy loved her from
the start, so now he is trying to make understand her that he is going to do
everything to get her love.

1-2 stanzas
In the first stanza the boy is telling the girl that he tried to show his love in different ways
but always with a kiss. For him living something like that was like a dream and he wishes it
will never end.

In the refrain the boy is scared that he could loose his mind if she wouldn’t live with him

He really can’t live without her, if she’s not near him he can’t be fine. So if he had to go
away one day he promises her that when he leaves he will take the girl with him around
the world.
4 – 5 stanzas
In the fourth stanza the boy explains the effort he is going to make if only she would love
him. He drove to the girl to stay with her and to show her all his love with strong hugs. With
sense of madness he wants to leave that place getting her with him, packing the luggage
and when she doesn't realize he will give her a ring.
6 stanza
The boy thinks destiny could help them and he would get in a journey with no return with
this girl, and with this the author wants to tell us that they must go on in the relationship
whatever happens between them, they have not to go back.

This song was written in 2009 by Zero Assoluto. In the song the author tells
about an invitation received to take part at the wedding of his ex-girlfriend
saying that he declines because he has too many commitments to do and
hiding the real reason for his answer.
In the first stanza,the author tells about an invitation received to take part at
the wedding of his ex-girlfriend. In the second stanza, the author asks her, if
she is ready to face all the commitments of married life. In the main stanza
the author says that he prefers to go away and forget everything included her.
In the last stanza, the author says that he can’t take part at the wedding
because he has too many commitments to do but he is ready to face all the
commitments of married life for love. With these last words of the song, the
author makes it clear that he is still in love of his ex-girlfriend.

In the first stanza the singer says it’s fantastic when he sees the woman he likes walking
around and he feels very strong emotions when that happens.
In the second stanza the singer talks about a party where he and the woman he likes were
up late and that he never imagined that this casual night would change his life.
In the third stanza he says that he has understood that he has never been in love and that
he has never been in love with her.
In the fourth stanza he affirms that it is magic to stay with her, but when she goes away he
falls to pieces, like the titanic in the Atlantic.
In the sixth stanza he invites her to spend the night with him.

Francesco Petrarca
This sonnet was composed between the summer of 1351 and the spring of
1352 and it speaks about the first meeting of Petrarch and his love Laura.
It happened in the church during the holy mess of Holy Friday on the 6th april
1327.
Despite the religious occasion, Petrarch fall in love with her.

COMMENT
The first verse is a periphrasis to indicate holy Friday. “(...) mi legaro” is a metaphor to
indicate fall in love. The first quartain explains the process of falling in love of the poet.
‘Amor’ with capital “a” is a personification. “(...) dolor (...)” = the ache represents the ache
of Petrarch but also that of the Christian community. This quartain explains how “Love”
“hits” him.
“(...) uscio et varco” are duplicat because is intensifier.
In the last terzet the poet accuses Amor to stike him but not Laura.

I have chosen this song because it has the perfect characteristic of one of the two poets.
In this case, Petrarca’s style, because the singer compares the eyes of his love with the
stars; for example other parts of the body, like her face, are compared with the sensations
that the singer feels in that moment and what he would like to do for example with her
nails.

First stanza: it doesn’t matter how far they are, love will always keep them together.
Second stanza: he never opened himself this way. He tells everything to her, his love for
her is true, not only words.
Third stanza: he trusts her. Every new day together in an adventure.
Fourth stanza: he does not care anyone. He knows that the only important thing is their
love story.

The song was written by Deuce and J3T, this song was written about Deuce
‘s girlfriend at the time, who had died in a car accident. Deuce and the other
members of the band are songwriters and when deuce was kicked out he
covered this song with his verse. In the first stanza he decides he wants to be
with her, and he used the same words that she told in their first date. In the
verse Deuce is saying he kept hurting himself just to reach his purpose, and
the process became a cycle. In this stanza he is saying he can’t keep going
on this way and he explains about his girlfriend's death and he wants to die
with wings because with them he can go in heaven with her. In this stanza he
sees himself pray for her and the world he sees is dark and cold. He means
that he is willing to kill himself just to get her back, and for her he sells his
soul to the devil and she his the most beautiful thing in his life and without her
he is nothing. In this stanza he regrets “that day” he wasn’t with her and that
day he “dies” and changed (her death make deuce worse and because of that
he’ll be kicked out of the band). In this stanza he remembers his girlfriend and
he is sick of fighting sadness. He is saying he can’t live without her and he
puts her first before him. He goes away because he has changed and he
wants to go back. It is hard to say because he lost everything and he is sad.
