The Texan director creates a new promo-film for Prada and wins the Berlin Fashion
Film Festival
BERLIN
The acclaim reserved for Grand Budapest Hotel at the 2014 Berlinale is by no means the
only satisfaction Berlin has granted the film director from Texas in recent years. Last year,
for example, a sophisticated short film shot for Prada won the prize for Best Film for Major
Brand and Best Screenplay at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, the annual event staged
during the Berlin Fashion Week. This short – authored by Anderson and his companion on
Moonrise Kingdom, Roman Coppola – publicizing Prada’s new perfume, Candy, features
a stunning and ever-hungry Léa Seydoux contested by two men, set in a retro Parisian
ambience: delicious!
Il successo riscosso da Grand Budapest Hotel alla Berlinale 2014 non è certo l’unica
celebrazione che la città ha riservato negli ultimi anni al regista texano Wes Anderson.
Lo scorso anno infatti, un breve e raffinato cortometraggio prodotto per Prada si era
aggiudicato il premio come miglior film per major brand e miglior sceneggiatura al Berlino
Fashion Film Festival, evento annuale organizzato durante la settimana della moda
berlinese. Il cortometraggio, firmato da Anderson insieme al compagno di Moonrise
Kingdom Roman Coppola per pubblicizzare la nuova fragranza Prada, Candy, vede una
golosissima e bellissima Léa Seydoux disputata da due uomini sullo sfondo di una Parigi
dai toni retrò. Delizioso!
