ANNUAL VETERANS FUNDRAISER
Dear Residents of Pinehills,
The Veterans Group at The Pinehills is
holding it's second annual fundraiser to
support local Veterans. Last year, $1,000 was
donated to support Plymouth area residents in
need. This year, we hope to expand our
charitable activities. You can donate in
multiple ways;
-Participate in the upcoming golf outing at the
Waverly Oaks Country Club on June 23rd.
-Send a check in any amount to: "Pinehills
Veterans Group." The checks may be left at
the Overlook Clubhouse, the Stonebridge
Club or mailed to: PVG, c/o 43 Champlain
Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360
The mission of the Veterans Group is to
provide relevant information to our Veterans,
recognize Veterans living in The Pinehills,
and support Veterans activities in the
Plymouth Community. There are no dues or
mandatory meetings. In addition to regular
communications, an annual Veterans Only
social is held on the Friday before Veterans
Day. To date, we have identified over 270
Veterans within The Pinehills. A key
recognition is the "Wall of Honor" which is in
the Great Island Clubhouse. It currently
recognizes over 200 Veterans from WWII,
Korea, Vietnam, and more recently conflicts
in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thank you for your support,

Healthcare Planning an Overview by Overlook VNA
Wednesday June 25th, 6:30-8:30pm, Cabana
Have you ever thought about what it means to take control of your healthcare plans? Do you know what advanced
‘healthcare planning” entails? Honoring Choices is a non-profit organization that has partnered with community organizations
like Overlook CARE (with an office here in The Pinehills) to help educate and empower adults and families to make smart,
informed choices about their healthcare wishes. This presentation will review specific topics related to healthcare planning
such as living wills, designating a health care proxy, choosing a power of attorney, and more. Participants are encouraged to
ask questions, engage in conversation, and explore their own views to ensure that their healthcare wishes are honored at all
stages of their lives.

EMERGENCY
PREPAREDNESS
Overwhelmed! … Don’t Know Where to Start? Try Involving Family Members Work With a Friend
Preparing for disasters is a big project. There are so many things to do, you don’t know where to start and you don’t know if
you have the time and energy.
Let us guide you. To help make the process easier, we will be sharing a weekly Calendar of Emergency Preparedness. Each
week set aside time to work on the goals listed and by the end of the month your project is completed!
Does that still seem like too much? Then try this … Take inventory pictures of the house, its contents, and cars. Scan in your
insurance policy declaration page. Save these on a flash drive; save a copy for you; and give a copy to a trusted family
member/friend that lives out of the area! That’s where you start!
