Press release
Milan – January 18, 2006
Exclusively on 3 Italia’s videophones Albano sings “Sei la mia
luce”, the song excluded from the San Remo festival.
Starting from today, the customers of 3 Italia, the first Mobile Media Company of the Italian market with 4.8
million customers (data from September 30, 2005), will be able to download and listen exclusively on their
videophone Albano’s song “Sei la mia luce”, which has been unexpectedly excluded by the San Remo
festival.
To listen to the preview of Albano’s song, 3 clients and fans of the singer need just to click on the dedicated
icon in the music Specials section of Pianeta 3, the mobile portal accessible only through the 3 videophone.
In the section dedicated to Albano, in addition to “Sei la mia luce”, available also in the Truetone version,
one can also find all the artist’s big hits and the song “I promise” by Albana’s daughter Cristel Carrisi.
Albano’s Video-gag, Video outtakes, bloopers and wall papers all dedicated to the Carrisi family complete the
video section, created jointly with Zero9.
Zero9 also created the Videomessage in which Albano invites 3 Italia’s customers to download the preview
of “Sei la mia luce” on their videophone.
3 Italia reconfirms its cutting edge and unconventional style, as in the past with the previews of artists such
U2, Madonna, Jovannotti, Morgan, Marilyn Manson, the Rolling Stones and the recent launch of the first song
by Loredana Lecciso.
This is the same approach that allowed 3 Italia to become H2O Music’s mobile virtual store, the first Italian
digital label created by SonyBMG. This deal guarantees 3 Italia an exclusive 15 days preview on all the new
songs published by the music label, the opportunity to use H2O Music artists in DVB-H TV production as well
as utilize synergies with the label for scouting activities and promotion of emerging artists.
3 Italia – It is the Mobile Media Company controlled by the Hutchison Whampoa Group shareholder of 94,5%.
Its other shareholders are NHS Investments S.A (San Paolo IMI), RCS Media Group, Gemina and 3G Mobile
Investments (Franco Bernabé Group). 3 Italia won a UMTS license in Italy in October 2000, commenced
offering of its services in March 2003 and is now the leader of the UMTS market in Italy, with 4,8 million
clients on 30 September 2005, thanks to a wide offer of multimedia, video communication and internet
services, besides entertainment, music, information, cinema, sport and TV on the move.
