Storia A Pula si trova una delle zone archeologiche di maggiore interesse
della costa meridionale sarda: l’antica città di Nora, risalente al periodo
punico-fenicio.
Natura La Laguna di Nora è un parco naturalistico protetto, specializzato
nel recupero dei cetacei e delle tartarughe marine, all’interno del quale è
possibile effettuare birdwatching, canoeing e snorkelling.
Mare Partendo da Pula si trova la spiaggia di Baia di Nora, ideale per famiglie con bimbi piccoli. Lungo la costa s’incontra la chilometrica spiaggia
di Santa Margherita, dove si affaccia il rinomato Forte Village Resort. Più
a sud numerose cale ed insenature, fino ad arrivare alle spiagge di Chia.
Tradizione Suggestiva e affascinante, la Sagra di Sant’Efisio è la secolare
cerimonia religiosa che si tiene a Pula ogni anno. Oltre ad essere tra le più
antiche è anche la più lunga processione religiosa italiana, con 65 km di
percorso che vede sfilare gruppi folkloristici arrivati da ogni angolo della
Sardegna.
Golf A due chilometri da Pula c’è Is Molas Golf Club, un campo a 27
buche, tra i più belli d’Italia, con una vista unica che si estende su tutto il
golfo.
Cucina Tanti i ristoranti e le pizzerie che propongono cucina tipica tradizionale con ingredienti sempre freschissimi. I migliori locali di Pula si trovano
nella centralissima Piazza del Popolo mentre altri si affacciano sulla Piazza
di Chiesa e nelle immediate vicinanze del centro abitato.
Vita notturna Per i più giovani e per tutti coloro che amano la movida, ci
sono tante discoteche e locali che animano le notti pulesi; tra i più esclusivi
il Grace Kelly ed il rinnovato Madrigal Pub a Pula.
History One of the most interesting archaeological areas of the south
Sardinian coast is to be found in the Pula district and includes the ancient town of Nora, which dates back to the Punic-Phoenician period.
Nature The Lagoon of Nora is a protected nature park specialised in
the recovery of cetaceans and sea turtles, where bird watching, canoeing and snorkelling is allowed.
The sea Starting from Pula there is first the Baia di Nora beach, which
is fantastic for families with small children. Going along the coast you
come to the extremely long beach of Santa Margherita with the renowned Forte Village Resort facing onto it. Continuing southwards
there are countless small inlets and coves before arriving at the beaches of Chia.
Tradition The picturesque and enthralling Festival of St. Efisio is a
centuries-old religious ceremony held in Pula very year. It is not only
one of the oldest but also the longest religious procession in Italy, with
a route covering 65 km and which sees folk groups arriving from all
four corners of Sardinia.
Golf Is Molas Golf Club lies two kilometres from Pula and has one of
the most attractive 27-hole courses in Italy with a unique view over the
whole gulf.
Cuisine There are lots of restaurants and pizzerias offering typical
traditional dishes with truly fresh ingredients. Best places are in the
central Piazza del Popolo, and in the Piazza di Chiesa, in the immediate vicinity of downtown.
Nightlife For the younger set and all those who love the movida, there
are plenty of discotheques and premises livening up the nights in Pula;
the most exclusive are the Grace Kelly and the renowned Madrigal
Pub.
