GLOSSOMETRO ELETTRONICO MOD.TMS 724
Strumento idoneo alla misurazione del grado di brillantezza di marmi,pietre lavorate,piastrelle in ceramica,
nonché per materie plastiche, verniciature, mobili e
prodotti in legno, carte (colorate, laminate, verniciate,
ecc.), pellicole fotografiche, nylon, gomma, pelle, ecc.
L'indice di brillantezzza é una quantità che esprime il
grado di luce riflessa da una superfice.Questo valore
è riferito ad un valore campione determinato secondo
JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) che dà indice 100
per riflessione su vetro con indice di rifrazione 1,567.
La misura con lo strumento TMS 724, viene fatta con
una sonda che contiene all'interno nella parte inferiore
un settore semicircolare su cui sono installati due sistemi ottici a 20° e 60° di inclinazione rispetto al piano.
Con la misura di 60° si valutano una vasta gamma di
prodotti,come plastiche, pitture, pietre, ceramiche,
pellicole, ecc.
Per materiali molto riflettanti, quali acciaio levigato, lo
strumento non è adatto.
Per avere una misura precisa con questo sistema, é
necessario che la superfice da misurare abbia una
superficie piatta.Superfici irregolari o molto incurvate
possono indurre errori nella misura.

Instrument for measuring the glossiness ratio of marble,macchined stone, ceramic tiles, as well as plastic,
painted surfaces, forniture and oroducts,paper (coloured, rolled, painted, etc.) photographic film, nylon,
rubber, leather,etc.
The glossiness ratio is a value expressing the light
reflected by a surface.This value is measured on the
basis of a sample value determined in accordance to
the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard), which corresponds ratio 100 for reflection on glass, with an index
of refraction of 1.567.The TMS 724 instrument measures
by means of a probe housing, in its bottom section, a
semicircular sector onto which two optical system are
fitted.The latter are tilted to 20° and 60° with respect
to the plane.
The 60° setting is used to measure a wide range of
products such as for instance plastic,paint, stone,
ceraamics, film, etc.
As far as particularly reflecting materials - such as polished steel for instance - the instrument is not appropriate.
Accurate measurements may only be achhieved on
perfectly fiat surfaces.Irregular or particular ly curved
surfaces may lead to measuring errors.
