The Fortified Wines
Zibibbo, Passito and Moscato: offspring of Sicily
and its islands, territories forever eminently
suited to the production of great fortified
wines. The burning sun, the hot winds, the
vineyards overlooking the sea and protected
by stone walls, the generous, fertile soil
create a perfect habitat for the production of
grapes rich in intense aromas. Grapes able to
generate wines with warm golden and amber
colours, unequivocally Mediterranean, which
bring the intense, sparkling light of this corner
of Sicily to the glass. In Florio Fortified Wines,
the perfumes and scents of Sicily burst forth
to offer an unforgettable experience. The
aromatic nature of Moscato and the elegant
richness of Zibibbo make these wines perfect
to accompany desserts and ice-cream, or,
served cold, for an out of the ordinary aperitif.

Passito Wines
Florio’s Passito wine range shares a strong
heritage with its native lands - a Sicilian wine
experience interpreted with a contemporary
and innovative flair. Refreshing as an aperitif, ideal
to accompany dessert at winery temperature,
or slowly sipped for a relaxing moment, the
Passito Wine range includes two great products,
“Passito di Pantelleria” and “Malvasia delle
Lipari”. These two namesake wines evoke the
unique characteristics of the sunny, charming
islands they hail from, Pantelleria and Salina,
such special areas that UNESCO has included
Pantelleria’s head-trained bush vines, which
produce Zibibbo grapes, on the Intangible World
Heritage list. These two products are presented
in exclusively designed bottles perfectly suited
to hold the precious nectar for those moments
worthy of special sip. The transparent packaging
has been studied to highlight the extraordinary
golden colour of the product, warm hues that
echo the Sicilian sun and have contributed to
the wines’ success in Italy and abroad.

Marsala Wine
In the last few years, Florio has dedicated itself to
relaunching the image of marsala wine. Once loved
by consumers, this great expression of the “Made
in Italy” tradition has been forgotten for too long, in
part due to it being confused for lesser products that
don’t do marsala justice. Florio’s Historical Vintages unique to the winery - take us back through 200 years
of this great fortified wine’s history. Florio’s marsala
represents an important Sicilian heritage that is also
capable of great versatility as an accompaniment
to different dishes. This eclectic product can be
sipped easily at any point during the day as the ideal
moments of consumption are many, though not
well known yet.

Florio wines are eclectic and multifaceted. Great

created. Centottanta is a precious wine created
to celebrate almost two hundred years of history
with an eye to the future. An exclusive selection
of Zibibbo grapes, cultivar par excellence from
the island of Pantelleria, traditionally dedicated to
the production of passito wines, aged for three
years in caratelli, small barrels which previously
held the great virgin marsala reserve of 1963.
An absolutely new concept that encapsulates
two worlds – the immediacy and amenity of
zibibbo enriched by the spicy, fully-developed
notes of marsala. A wine that embodies Florio’s
multifaceted, vivacious spirit, its ability to make all

Sweet Sparkling wine
Florio’s versatile world of marsala, fortified and passito wines now includes a special product, Spumante
Dolce, which takes its place beside Duca Brut sparkling wine the Duca di Salaparuta range of wines.
Florio Spumante Dolce is an aromatic wine with Mediterranean aromas and citrus notes, distinguished
by a unique, joyful and elegant image and produced with the usual unique craftsmanship that distinguish
all of Florio’s wines. Moscato grapes from Sicily’s mid-west regions, hand harvested and worked with
the Charmat method, produce a lively and fresh wine, an unexpected world the brings together quality
and particular care for the product with an elegant, fresh and glamorous style.
