TO VENICE
Gondola Days is the literary guide to Venice.
Internationally renowned authors have written
and will write in its pages. The magazine dedicates
the city original, unique pieces that discuss its
treasures and wonders in an entirely new way.
Through the words of great authors, residents
of Venice and its visitors can follow new itineraries
and discover new viewpoints.
The printed correspondent to an ‘amico
veneziano’ that can accompany the traveller
in discovering the city and its secrets, Gondola
Days offers the reader knowledge of the most
authentic Venice, that of its most real
(and famous) inhabitants: the gondoliers.
Indeed, the magazine is published
by Lineadacqua in association with
the Assemblea dei Bancali - Associazione
dei Gondolieri di Venezia.
Gondola Days pays homage to the travel book
of the same name by Francis Hopkinson Smith,
manifesto of a vibrant cultural environment
– led by Henry James – that forged close links
with Venice between the end of the 19th century
and the start of the 20th.
