Kronos Tecnica si pone a salvaguardia della natura. La ricerca per riproporre in gres fine porcellanato prodotti naturali
quali marmi, pietre e legni nell’aspetto estetico più sofisticato,
salvaguarda concretamente le cave di estrazione e i boschi
evitando di sventrare le montagne e abbattere le foreste, patrimonio che ha compiti importantissimi per la vita e la sopravvivenza del nostro pianeta.

of natural materials such as marble, natural stone and wood
using porcelain stoneware, is a concrete step towards

Si tratta di un rivoluzionario e innovativo sistema di pavimentazione modulare da appoggio, con base plastica.
Ecologico e facile da posare, ha un’ottima resa estetica.
Si compone di un supporto plastico abbinato a una superficie in gres porcellanato, rettificato e modulare. Ideale per
terrazzi, spazi verdi, piscine, fiere, pedane esterni di bar e
ristoranti. Ha la possibilità di ospitare al suo interno la tecnologia illuminante al LED, che garantisce bassi consumi e
una significativa durata nel tempo. La luce filtra attraverso
le fessure, ricreando camminamenti incredibilmente suggestivi.
Un pavimento modulare, inalterabile nel tempo, autoportante, ispezionabile per esterno. Si posa a secco su sostegni in polipropilene che lo mantengono sollevato, assorbendo le dilatazioni. Il vano creato consente un regolare
deflusso delle acque ed il passaggio di impianti o strutture.
Disponibile in due versioni:
- Struttura 2.0 è una lastra di 2 cm in gres fine porcellanato a tutto spessore, realizzata senza incollaggi.
- S.k.e. Accoppiato è costituito da un supporto inferiore
assemblato con un piano superiore, per consentire diversi
effetti di superficie. Questi sistemi sono sorprendentemente affidabili, garantendo una durata sostanzialmente eterna
alle pavimentazioni per esterno.
Sviluppati attraverso partnership di altissimo livello, i frangisole Kronos Tecnica rappresentano oggi una soluzione
incredibilmente innovativa e di assoluto valore in termini estetici e di design. Permettono un notevole risparmio
energetico e consentono di controllare l’entità dei flussi
luminosi e termici, per regolare al meglio illuminazione e

VENTILATED WALLS with specific joints
A revolutionary and innovative modular flooring system with
a plastic base. Modulo consists of a plastic support and a
porcelain stoneware surface, which are completely rectified
and modular. Suitable for terraces, garden pathways,
swimming pools, trade-fairs, outdoor areas of bars and
restaurants. This floor also includes a LED lighting system,
which ensures low electricity consumption, is durable and
can be housed out of sight under the flooring. The light
diffuses beneath the slits in the tiles, creating incredibly
enchanting pathways.
A modular flooring system, durable over time, self loadbearing and easy to inspect. It can be dry installed onto
polypropylene supports that keep it raised, therefore
absorbing expansion. The gap created between the floor
and the supports allows for unwanted water to pass
through without accumulating as well as for the housing of
cables and pipes. It is available in two versions:
- Structure 2.0 is a 2cm thick porcelain stoneware slab
manufactured without the use of adhesive.
- Ske Coupled consists of a lower support coupled with
a top to allow for different surface effects. These systems
are very reliable and guarantee longstanding durability of
outdoor flooring.
Developed thanks to partnerships with the leaders in the
sector, Kronos Tecnica sunscreen systems represent an
innovative solution of absolute value in terms of aesthetics
and design. They allow for considerable energy saving
and control the amount of thermal and light flow in order
to set the lighting and air-conditioning systems to their

maintenance procedures as they are entirely made of
porcelain stoneware.

Un innovativo sistema di pavimentazione ecologico, facile
da posare anche da personale non specializzato e di ottima resa estetica. Si compone di un supporto plastico
abbinato a una superficie in gres fine porcellanato, rettificato e modulare 60 x 60. Ideale per terrazzi, spazi verdi,
piscine, fiere, pedane esterne di bar e ristoranti.
Consente di sfruttare al meglio gli spazi esterni degli edifici commerciali e residenziali, rendendoli immediatamente
utilizzabili. Versatile, resistant, eco-friendly.
An innovative, eco-friendly flooring system, easy to install
which does not require specialised laying technicians
and with a perfect-look. The system consists of a plastic
support used in combination with a porcelain stoneware
surface, completely rectified and modular in 60x60. Ideal
to clad terraces, pathways, swimming pool edges, outdoor
pathways of bars and restaurants. It means quick installation,
therefore making the outdoor areas of commercial and
residential venues immediately usable.

The module is resistant to adverse weather conditions,
to slipping, stains and shock, making it suitable for any
destination of use, even when renovating pre-existing
flooring. Moreover, its quick and easy installation as well as
its functional storage means the module can be used for
temporary and/or seasonal flooring such as the outdoor
area of restaurants, bars and discos, or temporary events
such as trade-fairs and stands.
La posa su massetto. Facile e pratica.
La rapidissima posa a incastro si effettua su massetto, tramite ganci autocentranti che non necessitano di fughe o
collanti. Come sottofondo sono necessari massetti, caldane o pavimenti già esistenti. Non sono necessari posatori
specializzati. È inoltre possibile anche una posa diretta su
guaina con garanzia antipizzico, da non sormontare. Il piano sul quale poserà dovrà essere uniforme, solido, planare
e aderente in modo omogeneo a tutta la superficie del modulo, per distribuire i carichi in modo corretto.
Installation onto the footing.
Easy and functional.
The quick interlocking installation is carried out directly
onto the footing via self-centring hooks that do not require
adhesives and/or grouts. This solution can be installed
onto various types of substrate, footing, concrete slabs
or pre-existing floors. There is no need for qualified laying
technicians. This system can also be installed directly onto
the sheath thanks to the finger-safe grips. The surface to be
tiled must be uniform, solid, planar and must adhere to the
surface of the module in order to distribute the loads across
the entire surface.

Quando e dove sono necessarie.
Le fondamenta non sono necessarie se il sottofondo è
cementizio, di roccia solida, o un pavimento già esistente. Vanno sempre verificate la tenuta meccanica e, se
siamo all’esterno, la pendenza per il deflusso dell’acqua
e la tenuta all’impermeabilizzazione per balconi e terrazze.
Un sistema alternativo alle pose tradizionali, sul quale può
essere applicato qualsiasi tipo di gres ceramico, in differenti formati.
An alternative installation system to traditional systems, on
which any type and size of porcelain stoneware slabs, can
be applied.
Le fondamenta si rendono indispensabili per terreni
vergini sia interni che esterni. L’area andrà scavata sino
a una profondità di 23 cm, e poi riempita con pietrisco
compatto per 20 cm. Su di esso andranno versati 15 cm
di calcestruzzo/magrone. Se il terreno è fragile, scavare
una buca di profondità maggiore e coprire il pietrisco
con 30 cm di calcestruzzo/magrone, annegando nel
mezzo una maniglia di rinforzo elettrosaldata. La superficie dovrà essere planare rispetto alla pendenza.

When and where foundations are necessary.
Foundations are not necessary if the substrate is in
cement, rock or a pre-existing floor. The mechanical
resistance must always have been previous checked
and, for outdoor use, the inclination of the surface must
also be checked, in order to ensure a correct flow of
water and as well as the water-proofing of balconies
and terraces.

Foundations are needed for new surfaces, be they
outdoors and indoors. The area must be dug to a depth
of 23cm then filled with compact gravel up to 20 cm.
Then proceed with the filling with mass concrete. If the
substrate is fragile, dig to a deeper depth and fill the
gravel layer with 30cm of mass concrete, including an
electro-welded net as reinforcement. The surface must
be perfectly planar.

Structure
The raised panel consists of a monolithic, homogeneous
base. It is available with two different thicknesses: 1.5cm
and 2 cm, depending on the load-bearing grade required.
The top covering surface is available from the broad Kronos
product range. The coupling and adhesion of the slabs is
guaranteed by a specific adhesive, and, if necessary, it can
be reinforced using a protective strengthening net placed

La posa è rapida e semplice. Per prima cosa occorre verificare misure, dislivelli, pendenze e sottofondi, in modo da
ottimizzare la dislocazione dei pannelli evitando tagli perimetrali inferiori a 10 cm. Dopodichè si inizia collocando un primo
modulo di riferimento, intorno a cui costruire una T di pannelli:
costituiranno l’asse ortogonale da cui procedere alla messa
in opera. I tagli perimetrali si rifilano con un semplice flessibile
a disco diamantato o con una Klipper ad acqua.
Non è richiesto alcun intervento post-posa. Per eventuali
ispezioni, i pannelli sono facilmente removibili con l’apposita
ventosa o con una pinza di sollevamento.
Una piccola molla dalle enormi performance
Le molle fornite da Kronos Tecnica per il montaggio della
pavimentazione sopraelevata consentono al materiale di
assestarsi e permettono la compensazione delle dilatazioni
dovute alle differenti stagioni dell’anno. Naturalmente ogni
pavimentazione da esterno necessita di un tamponamento

Kronos Tecnica springs for the assemblage of raised
floors allow for the adjustment of the panels and for the
compensation of expansion due to weather conditions.
Please be aware that wall plugs need to be fixed onto the
perimeter surface of every outdoor raised floor onto which
the springs will be installed.

The installation is quick and easy. Firstly, it is necessary to
check the planarity of the surface and the substrate in order
to proceed with a correct installation of the panels avoiding
perimetral cuts smaller than 10cm. Next, place down a single
module as your guide, followed by other panels around it
creating a T-pattern: these panels will build the orthogonal
axis from which to start tiling the surface. Perimetral cuts can
be made using a diamond-disk blade or a water-cooled tile
clipper. No post-installation procedures are required. The
panels can be easily removed for inspection using a suction

A perfectly planar installation can be possible simply by
placing the supports on the water-proofing sheath or
onto the surface to be tiled. After a first adjustment, the
installation is quick and easy thanks to the self-levelling
head that automatically compensates inclination up to 5%.

onto soft ground and, depending on the substrate, we also
recommend the use of a curb to delimitate the tiling area.

dry mixture of mass concrete (with as minimum amount of

Tiles should be placed with a 3-5mm joint onto a substrate

da farle sporgere circa 1 cm. Riempite i recessi con 100
mm di pietrisco compatto e copritelo con 10 cm di ghiaia
fine lavata. Arredate il patio con un tavolinI panchine, sedie
a sdraio e un barbecue. Sistemate piante in vaso intorno
ai lati.
If the area to be tiled is reasonably levelled, installation onto
gravel is a good option. Start by removing the grass and dig
to a depth of around 20cm. Remove the dug ground and pile
it along the sides of the area using a rake to create a long
and low layer. Edge the dug surface with wood planks of
20 cm width and make them protrude by around 1cm.
Fill the recesses with 100mm of compact pebbles and cover
them with a 10cm layer of gravel. This area can then be used to
place garden furniture such as a picnic table, benches, chairs
and a barbecue. Place flower boxes or plants along the sides.

Kronos Tecnica ha volontariamente deciso di sottoporre il
proprio sistema Frangisole ai test di Resistenza al carico
di vento e Resistenza all’impatto secondo le normative
UNI EN 1932:2002 e UNI EN 13330:2004.
Kronos Tecnica sunscreen systems have undergone the
Wind-load resistance test and the Impact strength
test in compliance with the UNI EN 1932:2002 and UNI EN
13330:2004 standards.
Le prove, eseguite dall’Istituto Giordano, organismo tecnico operante in base alla Direttiva Prodotti da Costruzione, hanno avuto entrambe esito ampiamente positivo.
Gli esami effettuati e valutati secondo la norma UNI EN
13659:2009, testimoniano che la parete Frangisole Kronos
risulta in Classe 6 per la Resistenza al Carico di vento, sopportando tutte le prove di pressione senza rotture
né deformazioni.
Anche la prova di resistenza all’impatto è stata superata, in
quanto la parete Frangisole non ha ricevuto alcuna lesione
durante la verifica della resistenza all’urto e una lesione inferiore a 20 mm durante la verifica di resistenza all’impatto.
The tests, carried out by the Istituto Giordano, an
authorised laboratory operating in compliance with the
directives relating to building materials, have had positive
results. The tests, carried out and evaluated in compliance
with the UNI EN 13659:2009 standard, certify that Kronos
sunscreen systems can be classified as Class 6 for
Wind-load resistance and have passed all tests without
cracking or bumping. The impact strength test was also
passed by the Kronos sunscreen systems as the system
did not suffer any cracking during the shock resistance
and suffered a crack of less than 2 cm during the impact
strength resistance test.

staffe e montanti verticali: all’interno delle gole vengono inserite clip in acciaio inox opportunamente verniciate per il

Nonostante l’altissima qualità raggiunta dai collanti in questi
ultimi anni, le normative vigenti non consentono ai produttori di garantire la perfetta adesione delle lastre a parete nelle
pose dei rivestimenti ceramici per esterno. Il sistema brevettato Kerfix® è un dispositivo meccanico a scomparsa che viene inserito nelle lastre in ceramica prima della posa, per poi
essere fissato a parete tramite tasselli o chiodi. Realizzato
in acciaio inox, il sistema brevettato Kefix® ha uno spessore
di 5/10 mm e offre una resistenza allo strappo di oltre 250
kg. Mentre la parte forata consente di posizionare la lastra
a parete, l’apposita linguetta piegata si inserisce nel taglio
della piastrella, impedendone la caduta anche nell’eventuale
caso di distacco del collante. Kerfix® può essere fissato in

Despite the quality of adhesives available to the ceramic industry in recent years, the current standards and directives do
not allow manufacturers to guarantee the perfect adhesion
of the slabs onto outdoor facades. The patented Kerfix® system is a concealed mechanical device that can be inserted
into the ceramic slabs before installation and then fixed to the
wall using plugs or nails. Made from stainless steel, this patented system has a thickness of 5/10mm and ensures a tear
resistance of more than 250kg. The perforated part of the
system allows for the installation of the slab on the wall, while
the flap is inserted in the tile cut, meaning it will not fall even
should the adhesive not hold detachment of the adhesive.

Per realizzare questo suggestivo Argillarium, Kronos Tecnica ha affiancato il progettista accompagnandolo nella
scelta di materiali, volumi e superfici. Particolare cura è
stata dedicata alla coordinazione tra panche, rivestimenti
e pavimentazione: in questo progetto dallo stile contemporaneo si è preferito optare per forme moderne e squadrate, ideali per l’utilizzo di grandi lastre.

To create this fascinating Argillarium, Kronos Tecnica has
worked in partnership with the designers, assisting them in
the choice of suitable materials and surface finishes. Special attention has been given to the coordinated project
of benches, cladding and flooring: for this contemporary
style project, we have chosen modern and square sizes,
suitable to be covered using large ceramic slabs.

1. Rivestimento in gres fine porcellanato
Il rivestimento superiore è in gres fine porcellanato. A disposizione per i progettisti la maggior parte dei prodotti
presenti all’interno della gamma Kronos. Dalle superfici naturali alle lappate la scelta si amplia su molteplici colori e
finiture. Il gres fine porcellanato viene poi assemblato
all’anima strutturale, che potrà essere composta in diversi modi in base alle esigenze del progetto. Il pannello
sarà poi rettificato con una leggera svasatura per agevolare notevolmente la posa e l’eventuale rimozione della pavimentazione sopraelevata. Inoltre attraverso l’utilizzo del
Bordo UNI, costituito da un elastomero poliuretanico morbido ad elevata stabilità chimica e resistenza all’abrasione,
si garantiscono una più efficace protezione agli urti ed una
migliore tenuta all’aria e all’umidità del pannello. Questo
tipo di bordo garantisce una completa uniformità tra bordi
perimetrali e fughe interne.

Coverings consist of:
1.Porcelain stoneware covering
The surface covering is in porcelain stoneware. The
majority of the Kronos product range is suitable for this
use. From natural to honed surfaces, a broad choice of
colours and finishes. The porcelain stoneware is then
assembled onto the structural core, there are different
types of cores depending on the project specifications.
The panel will then be rectified and slightly flared in order
to facilitate installation and the removal of the pre-existing
floor. Moreover, thanks to the use of the UNI border, made
up of an polyurethane elastometer with high chemical
stability and abrasion resistance, these flooring systems
ensure effective protection against shock, they are air-tight
and resistant to moisture.
This border guarantees complete uniformity of perimetral
edges and grout lines.

Pannello modulare, denominato UNI-KRO, in conglomerato omogeneo monolitico di gres ceramico inodore e
inassorbente, esente da ogni materiale tossico, di spessore nominale 15 mm o 20mm. La lavorazione del pannello
prevede la rettifica totale del pannello già accoppiato alla
finitura per rendere il tutto perfettamente idoneo all’ancoraggio del bordo perimetrale che sarà costituito da guarnizione in ABS, il tutto sarà seguito da una bisellatura della
finitura. Grazie alle sue caratteristiche questo tipo di anima
strutturale può essere utilizzata con qualsiasi condizione di
umidità. Su richiesta, il rivestimento inferiore del pannello in
alluminio.

Modular panel, called UNI_KRO, in homogeneous,
monolithic porcelain stoneware, completely odourless
and inabsorbent, free from toxic agents, with a nominal
thickness of 15mm or 20mm. The manufacturing of the
panel includes the rectification of the panel once it has
already been coupled with the finish in order to make it
suitable for the anchoring of the outer edge in ABS material,
the final finish will be bevelled. Thanks to its features, this
type of structural core can be used in the presence of
dampness and moisture.
On demand, the lower covering of the panel is in aluminium.
Struttura portante composta da piedini e da travi in acciaio
zincato disposta a maglie con interasse di mm 60x60.
Base rotonda diametro 93 mm, spessore 1,5mm, stelo filettato da 16mm con dado di blocco per regolazione
dell’altezza e con testa a forma quadrata da mm 80x80, in
spessore di 2,5 mm, completa di guarnizione in materiale
plastico, antistatico, predisposta a ricevere ad incastro le
traverse orizzontali a sezione aperta mm 18x25x18 complete di guarnizione in materiale plastico. La testa ha spessore pari a 3 mm.
La conformazione a 8 razze radiali opportunamente sagomate, consente un aggancio rapido e ottimale dei traversi.
La base, costituita da un disco in acciaio zincato di diametro 90 mm e spessore 1,5 mm, presenta nervature di
irrigidimento e nicchie per una migliore adesione della colla alla base e alla soletta di appoggio. Le ulteriori forature
presenti consentono eventualmente un agevole fissaggio
meccanico.
Il sistema di regolazione in altezza, completamente in acciaio zincato, avviene tramite barra filettata M16 e relativo
dado dotato di tacche antisvitamento.
Load-bearing structure consisting of feet and galvanised
steel beams with inter-axis of 60x60cm. Round base with
diameter of 93mm, thickness of 1.5mm, threaded bar of
16mm and height-adjustment nut with square head of
80x80mm and thickness of 2.5mm, gasket in anti-static
plastic material to interlock the horizontal open-section
beams 18x25x18mm also complete with plastic gasket.
The head has a thickness of 3mm.
The 8 profiled radial spokes allow for a rapid and perfect
anchoring of the beams. The base, consisting of a
galvanized steel disk with a diameter of 90mm and a
thickness of 1.5mm features stiffening ribs and niches for
better adhesion of the grout and/or the adhesive to the
concrete slab support. The other holes allow for an easy
mechanical fixing.
The height adjustment, in galvanized steel, occurs via a
threaded bar M16 and relevant nut with unscrewing system.
The ribbed steel beams complete with noise-proofing
plastic gasket means that the structure can be adapted to
any type of load and environment.

CONSIGLI DI POSA / pose suggestion
Le piastrelle in gres porcellanato di Kronos, grazie alle materie prime utilizzate ed alle nuove tecnologie produttive,
tendono ad imitare la casualità delle pietre e gli effetti naturali dei più utilizzati materiali nelle costruzioni. Le variazioni
cromatiche sono dunque una caratteristica di pregio che
un abile posatore può valorizzare al fine di creare un pavimento unico. A tale scopo si consiglia di eseguire prima
della posa le seguenti operazioni:
1. assicurarsi che la superficie di appoggio sia sufficientemente stagionata, planare e ben pulita;
2. controllare accuratamente il calibro dei diversi formati e
toni del prodotto; posare attingendo da scatole diverse;
3. non immergere il materiale in acqua prima della posa
4. battere le piastrelle fino alla totale scomparsa di bolle
d’aria nella malta o colla;
5. non segnare la superficie con pennarelli o grafite;
6. terminare la posa lavare accuratamente il pavimento con
acqua e detergenti a base acida per togliere incrostazioni e residui cementiti dalle fughe.
Adesivi consigliati
L’utilizzo di un adesivo appropriato è di fondamentale importanza per la posa. Si raccomanda di seguire le indicazioni dei migliori produttori di adesivi per la posa di piastrelle. In
generale, l’adesivo più adeguato si individua considerando
i seguenti fattori:
a) tipo di sottofondo;
b) tipologia e formato delle piastrelle (grandi lastre/mosaici);
c) destinazione d’uso (pavimento/rivestimento, interno/
esterno);
d) condizioni climatiche all’atto della posa;
e) tempi a disposizione per la messa in esercizio del rivestimento ceramico.
Per piastrelle di grande formato, posate ad altezze superiori di 3 mt. alcune normative internazionali prevedono che
la posa debba essere eseguita con il sistema misto adesivi
e ganci meccanici da scegliere in relazione al peso della
piastrella all’altezza dei rivestimenti ed alle condizioni del
cantiere. Nel caso di posa, in condizioni di basse temperature oppure qualora sia necessario mettere in esercizio rapido il rivestimento ceramico è preferibile l’utilizzo di adesivi
cementizi migliorati a presa rapida (classe C2F.-EN12004)

Accorgimenti Stesura Adesivi
Applicare l’adesivo sul supporto ceramico mediante spatola di idonea dentatura.
Esercitare una buona pressione sulle piastrelle per assicurarsi la bagnatura di almeno il 70% della superficie totale.
Nel caso di pose in ambienti interni commerciali, oppure
all’esterno, è fondamentale applicare l’adesivo con il sistema della doppia spalmatura garantendo così l’assenza di
vuoti nell’interfaccia piastrella ceramica e sottofondo.
Thanks to the excellent raw materials and avant-garde
technology, Kronos porcelain stoneware tiles faithfully
reproduce the random effect of natural stones and building
materials.
The chromatic shading of the tiles is an intrinsic characteristic
of the product that can exalt the final effect on the floor.
Therefore, before proceeding with the installation, we
recommend carrying out the following procedures:
1. make sure that the surface to be tiled is seasoned,
planar and clean;
2.carefully check the work-size of the tiles and their
shade, proceed with installation choosing the tiles from
different boxes to ensure a more natural effect;
3.do not immerse the products in water before their
installation;
4. beat the tiled surface in order to prevent the formation
of air bubbles in the mortar;
5. do not mark the tiles with felt-tip pens or pencils;
6. once the installation is completed, wash the floor with
water and acid detergents to remove grout residue and
dirt.
RECOMMENDED ADHESIVES
The use of an adequate adhesive is of primary importance
for perfect installation. We recommend following the
manufacturers’ instructions. In general, the most suitable
adhesive can be chosen by taking into account different
factors:
a) type of substrate;
b) type and size of tiles (large slabs/mosaics);
c) destination of use (floor, wall, indoor or outdoor use);
d) weather conditions during installation;
e) time elapsing before the use of the ceramic cladding
and/or flooring.
When large size tiles are installed at more than 3m height,
some international standards specify that the installation
must be carried out using adhesive and mechanical fixing
depending on the weight of the tiles and the working
conditions of the surface. When installing the system in
winter or in low temperatures, or when the floor and/or
the wall should be immediately used after installation, we
recommend using premium quick-setting adhesives (class
C2F.-EN12004)

LA STUCCATURA / GROUTING
Stuccare il pavimento/rivestimento 24/ 48 ore dopo la posa,
le fughe devono essere perfettamente pulite. Stuccare piccole superfici per volta (4/5mq.) e lavare accuratamente
più volte con acqua.
Si suggerisce un colore di stucco tono su tono del materiale. è molto importante utilizzare uno stucco appropriato
in funzione principalmente delle destinazioni d’uso del rivestimento ceramico. Si raccomanda di seguire le indicazioni
dei migliori produttori di stucchi per fughe.
Proceed with grouting 24/48 hours after installation, the
grout lines must be clean.
Proceed with the grouting of small portions of the surface
at a time (4/5 m²) and wash frequently with water.
We recommend using a grout of the same or similar
colour of the tiles. It is very important to use the correct
grout according to the destination of use of the tiled
surface. We recommend following the instructions of grout
manufacturers.

Dimensioni delle Fughe
Per Pavimenti in combinazione di più formati rettificati è obbligatoria una fuga di almeno 2mm.
Nel caso di posa in combinazione di materiali rustici è obbligatoria una fuga di almeno 4 mm.
Per rivestimenti posati utilizzando un prodotto rettificato è
obbligatoria una fuga di almeno 2mm.
Per Posa a correre di formati rettangolari è necessaria una
fuga di 3mm.
è richiesta inoltre una cura particolare nell’accostare e livellare i singoli pezzi fra loro, attenuando le differenze di
planarità che eventualmente dovessero manifestarsi.
Areas requiring total hygiene and resistance to chemicals
(kitchen tops, food industries, hospitals, supermarkets,
etc.) epoxy mortars for grout lines Class RG.EN.13888.
Dimensions of grout lines
For floors with a combination of more than one rectified
sizes together, allow a grout line of at least 2mm. For rusticeffect materials, allow a grout line of at least 4mm.
For wall cladding using rectified tiles, allow a grout line of
at least 2mm.
For straight-forward installation patterns of rectangular
tiles, allow a grout line of at least 3mm.
Particular attention must be paid in the matching and levelling
of the pieces, trying to level their planarity differences if any.
recommendations for adhesive spreading
Apply the adhesive onto the ceramic tile using a teethed
trowel. Exert pressure on the tiles to ensure the adhesive
has adhered to at least 70% of the total surface.
Should the tiles be installed in commercial areas or
outdoors, it is important to apply the adhesive using the
double-spreading method, ensuring there are no gaps
between the tiles and the substrate.

Pulizia ed Eliminazione dello Stucco in eccesso
Per una corretta ed agevole diminuzione degli eccessi di
stucco, si raccomanda di seguire le indicazioni dei produttori dello stucco.
In generale si consiglia di attenersi a quanto segue:
Stucchi Cementizi
Quando lo stucco diventa opaco ( dopo 10/20 min) pulire
con spugna di cellulosa, eseguendo movimenti diagonali
rispetto alle fughe trà le piastrelle.
è importante il rispetto di questi tempi per non rischiare di
rimuovere lo stucco delle fughe tra le singole piastrelle.
Stucchi Epossidici
Ad impasto ancora fresco,bagnare abbondantemente la
superficie delle piastrelle emulsionando con un tampone
Scotch-Bride facendo attenzione a non svuotare le fughe.
Il residuo liquido di stucco può essere rimosso con una
spugna di cellulosa dura (da sostituire se troppo di residui).
è fondamentale rimuovere lo stucco epossidico tempestivamente prima che inizi ad indurirsi in quanto la successiva
rimozione risulterebbe estremamente difficile.
Nel caso in cui lo stucco epossidico abbia già iniziato ad
indurirsi provare ad aggiungere all’acqua di lavaggio il 10%
di Alcool.
MANUTENZIONE ORDINARIA DELLE PIASTRELLE
SI consiglia l’utilizzo di un comune detergente neutro diluito in acqua calda. Evitare l’utilizzo di prodotti acidi, alcalini,
ceranti e/o impregnanti.
Nella pulizia ordinaria occorre limitare al massimo l’uso di
mezzi fortemente abrasivi ad esempio pagliette in metallo,
spugnette di ferro o acciaio.
Questa precauzione diventa un obbligo nel caso di superfici ceramiche lucide o lappate/levigate più esposte ad effetti
visibili di scalfitura, graffi, opacizzazione ecc.
In caso di sporchi più intensi o di piastrelle con superficie
particolarmente strutturata, usare un detergente a base alcalina risciacquando al termine del lavaggio.
Per le grandi superfici è consigliabile l’utilizzo di macchine
lava-asciuga.
Nella pratica quotidiana occorre considerare che certi tipi
di sporco (polvere, sabbia) aumenta l’effetto abrasivo del
traffico pedonale. Cercare quindi di prevenire la presenza
di questo tipo di sporco trasportato dall’esterno predisponendo l’utilizzo di zerbini o stuoini all’ingresso.
Consigliamo la Ditta Fila (www.filachim.com), produttore
di detergenti, in grado di fornire il prodotto idoneo per la
maggioranza delle macchie
Pulizia finale di Cantiere
Dopo alcuni giorni eliminare i residui di cantiere con spugna
commerciale Scotch-Brite oppure con spazzolone o monospazzola in caso di grandi superfici.
Per i rivestimenti utilizzare un detergente liquido neutro diluito in acqua calda.
Per pavimenti utilizzare un detergente acido ad azione
tampone in percentuale di diluizione variabile in funzione
del tipo specifico di superficie (liscia, strutturata).
è importante proteggere eventuali inserti in marmo o metallo con nastro adesivo.
Risciacquare poi abbondantemente con acqua calda pulita, sino alla eliminazione di qualsiasi alonatura o residui negli interstizi. Se necessario ripetere il lavaggio acido con
concentrazioni più elevate ad eccezione del caso in cui siano presenti inserti in marmo o metallo evitare l’utilizzo di
acidi non diluiti.
CLEANING AND REMOVAL OF EXCESS GROUT
In order to reduce the presence of grout in excess, we
recommend following the manufacturers’ instructions. In
general, we recommend following the general rules set out
below:
Cement-based grouts
When the grout becomes opaque (after 10/20 minutes),
wash the grout lines using a cellulose sponge with diagonal
movements with respect to the grout lines. It is extremely
important to follow these times in order not to risk the unnecessary removal of the grout between the tiles.
Epoxy-based grouts
When the grout mixture is still fresh, wet the surface using
a Scotch-Bride sponge paying particular attention not to
hollow the grout lines.
The liquid residue of grout can be removed using a cellulose sponge. It is important to remove the excess epoxy
grout in time and before it starts hardening.
Should the epoxy grout already have started to get hard,
try adding 10% alcohol to water and wash the surface.
post-installation cleaning
After some days of installation, remove all dirt residue using
a Scotch-Brite sponge or a single-brush cleaning machine
for large surfaces.
For wall cladding, use a neutral liquid detergent diluted in
hot water.
For floors, use an acid detergent in different dilution ratios
depending on the type of surface finish of the floor (smooth
or textured).
It is very important to protect marble or metal inserts with
tape. Rinse with clean hot water until complete removal of
all rims and residue from the surface. If necessary, repeat the acid cleaning of the floor at higher concentration,
except for marble and metal inserts that must not come
into contact with acid detergents.
MANUTENZIONE STRAORDINARIA DELLE PIASTRELLE
Nel caso di tracce di sporco resistenti alla pulizia ordinaria
si raccomanda l’utilizzo di un detergente adeguato in funzione del tipo di sporco.Vedi kit allegato.
Per problemi di pulizia difficoltosa e/o postposa, di ripristino delle superfici antiscivolo, o di eventuali trattamenti antimacchia, consigliamo l’utilizzo di prodotti Bonasystems

ORDINARY MAINTENANCE OF CERAMIC TILES
We recommend using a neutral detergent diluted in water.
Avoid the use of acid, alkaline and waxing products.
During ordinary cleaning, try to avoid the use of abrasive
methods such as scouring pads and steel wool pads. This
precaution is particularly important for glossy, honed and
polished surfaces as they are more at risk from scratching
and opacification. In the case of difficult stains and dirt or
for textured surfaces, use an alkaline detergent, rinsing
with water after cleaning.
For large surfaces, we recommend cleaning the floor with
washer-dryer machines. Please bear in mind that some
types of dirt (dust, sand, etc.) increase the abrasive effect
of foot traffic on the surface. Try to prevent this type of dirt
by placing a doormat at the entrance.
We recommend the detergents produced by Fila (www.
filachim.com), who produce cleaning detergents for the
majority of stains.
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE OF CERAMIC TILES
Where particularly tough stains that cannot be removed with
ordinary cleaning procedures are present, we recommend
using specific detergents depending on the type of stain
(see chart).
For difficult cleaning, restoration of anti-slip surfaces
or anti-stain treatments, we recommend the use
of the Bonasystems products listed here (www.

Pavimentazione a secco e sopraelEvato
L’alta drenanza della pavimentazione permette una pulizia
diretta con acqua corrente o getto diretto. Le fughe tra
le doghe consentono un efficace drenaggio verso il punto/
fuga di scolo perimetrale, tale caratteristica consente di
drenare rapidamente grosse quantità d’acqua.
Dry-installation and raised flooring
The good drainage capacity of the floor allows for direct
cleaning using running water. The grout lines between the
slabs allow for effective drainage towards the perimetral
drain, which permit quick drainage of large amounts of
water.
PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE
Per la pulizia e la manutenzione della pavimentazione è sufficiente un normale detergente neutro e un getto d’acqua
per rimuovere e convogliare lo sporco in direzione delle fughe e delle bocchette di drenaggio.
Per le grandi superfici si consiglia di utilizzare la pulivapor.
Cleaning and maintenance
For the cleaning and maintenance of the floor, use a neutral
detergent and running water to remove dirt and wash it
towards the drain. For large surfaces, we recommend
industrial cleaners, such as Pulivapor machines.

I suggerimenti illustrati in precedenza sono frutto di ricerca,
verifica di laboratorio ed esperienza pluriennale.Tuttavia le

Per favorire l’asciugatura completa della pavimentazione,
in quanto il bassorilievo ceramico trattiene un minimo d’acqua, si consiglia di prevedere un’azione meccanica (prima
che l’acqua si asciughi per prevenire gli aloni da deposito
di calcare) a mezzo di una spazzola di nylon a denti stretti,
tipo quelle da piscina e l’utilizzo di una spazzola con linguetta di gomma in modo tale da eliminare anche il minimo
residuo d’acqua.

As the ceramic bass-relief tends to retain water, in order to
the complete drying of the floor, we recommend a mechanical procedure (before water dries completely to prevent
the formation of lime scale rims) using a nylon brush such
as those used to clean swimming pools and the use of a
rubber brush so as to completely eliminate any residue,
even the smallest of amounts.
