Over the past nine months a task force of the Endocrine Society has been working towards establishing
guidelines for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of Primary Aldosteronism. The task force membership
is drawn from around the world, and the appropriate national, regional and international organizations listed
below have indicated their willingness to cosponsor a consensus statement on the topic. The present
Satellite Symposium represents an opportunity for wider input – to provide a forum for lively discussion and
debate, and in this way to contribute to the final drafting of the guidelines.
