Sinossi
Emiliano guarda con gli occhi del regista, mischiando la realtà oggettiva con i processi della
creazione artistica. La storia che filma si confonde con la sua vita quotidiana, con l'immediato, fino
a quando il suo mondo finisce per restare intrappolato nella lente della macchina da presa.
Confuso, sempre solo e di fronte ad uno schermo, ormai realtà trasfigurata ma, allo stesso tempo,
misurabile, controllabile, maneggiabile, ascolta in ripetizione una canzone: una di quelle che ripeti
come una preghiera e che ti obbliga a ricordare, a credere e a convincerti.
Synopsis
Emiliano looks at his life with the eyes of a film director, mixing the objective reality with the
processes of the artistic creation. The story he is filming flounders with his daily life, until his world
is trapped in the lens of his camera.
Confused, always alone and in front of a screen, now become a transfigured reality, but at the same
time a measurable, controllable and manipulable one, he listens in loop to a song: one of those
songs you sing or repeat as a prayer and forcing you to remember, believe and convince yourself.

Julián Hernández è nato a Città del Messico nel 1972 e si è laureato in Cinema presso l'Università
Statale UNAM. Tra i suoi precedenti lavori, i lungometraggi El cielo dividido (2006), Mil nubes de
paz cercan el cielo, amor, jamás acabarás de ser amor (2003), vincitore del Teddy Award al
Festival di Berlino e Rabioso sol, rabioso cielo, vincitore dello stesso premio ma nel 2009.
Hernández ha anche diretto, tra gli altri, i cortometraggi Por encima del abismo de la desesperación
(1996), Hubo un tiempo en que los sueños dieron paso a largas noches de insomnio (1997),
Bramadero (2007), Vago rumor de mares en zozobra (2008), Atmósfera (2009).
Biofilmography
Julián Hernández is born in Mexico City in 1972 and he graduated in film from the state University
UNAM. Among his previous works are the feature films Broken Sky (2006), A Thousand Clouds of
Peace Fence the Sky, Love, Your Being Love Will Never End cercan (2003), winner of the Teddy
Award at Berlin Film Festival and Raging Sun, Raging Sky, winner of the same Award but in 2009.
Hernández has also directed, among others, the short films Por encima del abismo de la
desesperación (1996), Hubo un tiempo en que los sueños dieron paso a largas noches de insomnio
(1997), Bramadero (2007), Vago rumor de mares en zozobra (2008), Atmósfera (2009).
