Si prega di prestare attenzione alle seguenti raccomandazioni per la sicurezza, al fine di godere di una esperienza di guida affidabile:
• È necessario leggere attentamente il manuale prima di salire sulla sella della bicicletta e verificare le perfette condizioni del mezzo.
• È severamente vietato il sovraccarico.
• Al fine di garantire la durata della batteria, dopo ogni utilizzo va fatta una carica. L’esaurimento totale può provocare danni alla batteria.
• È vietato toccare i contatti elettrici nel vano batteria. Si potrebbero causare lesioni e/o ustioni, oltre che il corto circuito del veicolo.
Si prega di prestare particolare attenzione a questa avvertenza.
• Non smontare o riparare parti senza l’assistenza tecnica di un rivenditore autorizzato. Utilizzare sempre ricambi originali. Una manutenzione mal eseguita può causare danni e/o incidenti.
• Questo veicolo può funzionare normalmente anche in caso di pioggia, ma il motore elettrico non deve venire sommerso (attraversamento
torrenti), diversamente si corre il rischio d’infiltrazioni e corto circuiti, con danni e incidenti.

Le pastiglie dei freni, i pneumatici, le luci ed i cavi ecc. sono considerati come materiali di consumo. La sostituzione di questi
prodotti può essere effettuata dal Vostra rivenditore locale E-TECH.

Congratulazioni per aver scelto la nostra bici elettrica E-TECH.
Si prega di leggere con attenzione questo manuale prima di utilizzare la vostra bici su strada.
Prima di mettere la Vostra bici su strada è necessario caricare
completamente la batteria. Quindi potete ora metterla in carica
mentre leggete il resto del manuale.
Questo manuale contiene informazioni importanti su come utilizzare la Vostra bici in tutta sicurezza. Se avete qualsiasi domanda sul funzionamento della vostra bici elettrica E-TECH potete
mettervi in contatto con il Vostro rivenditore locale E-TECH.
È estremamente importante che seguiate le linee guida di sicu-
rezza contenute nel manuale al fine di assicurarvi la massima
affidabilità durante l’utilizzo.
È responsabilità del proprietario leggere con attenzione tutto il
contenuto di questo manuale e di ottemperare alle leggi inerenti
alla circolazione delle biciclette e/o biciclette elettriche nella
vostra giurisdizione locale. Se siete incerti sul significato di questo o avete qualsiasi domanda da soddisfare potete mettervi in
contatto con la vostra stazione di Polizia locale.
Vi raccomandiamo di fare la massima attenzione quando si guida con neve o pioggia.
• La vostra bici elettrica E-TECH non può essere immersa
in acqua in quanto dotata di parti elettroniche; l’eventuale
immarsione causerà un cortocircuito con coseguente danneggiamento degli apparati elettronici.
• Dovreste salvaguardare la vostra batteria per assicurarvi un

•Dovete accertarVi che la batteria sia completamente carica
prima del suo primo utilizzo; l’omissione nel fare questo può
provocare una minore prestazione della batteria.
•Il frequente azionamento del freno e ripartenza, guidare in
salita, viaggiare in forte controvento, ripartire da una fermata e guidare su strade sterrate o fangose, consumeranno
la potenza della batteria supplementare e ne ridurranno la
durata. Per ottenere la durata di vita massima della Vostra
batteria dovete caricarla almeno una volta ogni 2 mesi.
Se parcheggiate o non utilizzate spesso la Vostra
bicicletta E-TECH Vi raccomandiamo di caricare la batteria una volta ogni 2 mesi al fine di mantenere la massima resa, anche in caso di inutilizzo.
La vostra bici elettrica può essere utilizzata con la pioggia;
tuttavia, non deve essere sommersa nell’acqua o in pozzanghere. La centralina, le batterie, il motore e gli altri dispositivi elettrici possono essere soggetti a cortocircuito causando
danni e creando una situazione potenzialmente pericolosa.
•Non utilizzare caricabatterie o componenti diversi da quelli
approvati dal vostro rivenditore E-TECH.
•I caricabatterie contengono elettronica sensibile. L’uso improprio o le scosse improvvise possono danneggiare il caricabatterie e la relativa elettronica interna.
•Scollegare la batteria (chiave in posizione OFF) durante la
ricarica per impedire un serio danneggiamento alla centralina e alla batteria stessa.

CONOSCERE LA VOSTRA BATTERIA
I proprietari di bici elettriche, in passato, dovevano spingerle per affrontare ripide salite o dovevano pedalare
per il tratto finale del viaggio fino alla loro meta senza alcun aiuto dalla batteria.
Questo perché le precedenti generazioni di bici elettriche avevano batterie con potenza ed autonomia limitate.
COME CARICARE LA BATTERIA:
Tutte le bici elettriche E-TECH montano batterie da 36 volt, che sono ampiamente utilizzate in Europa.
I modelli NEXUS•6, NEXUS•5, NEXUS•4 e CHABLIS utilizzano batteria da minimo 10Ah. NEXUS•1.5 è dotato di batteria da 9Ah.
• Non tentate di aprire o fare alcuna operazione di modifica/riparazione alla batteria
COME CARICARE LA BATTERIA:
•Girare la chiave verso OFF (SPENTO)
•Inserire lo spinotto del caricabatterie nella batteria
•Inserire la spina del caricabatterie in una presa di rete elettrica. Ora dovrebbe accendersi una luce rossa.
•Lasciare che la batteria si carichi per 5-6 ore
•Quando la luce sul caricabatteria diventa verde, significa
che la vostra batteria è completamente caricata
•Il caricabatteria diventerà caldo mentre ricarica la batteria; assicuratevi di non posizionarlo vicino a materiali infiammabili.

•Potete ricaricare la batteria mantenendola alloggiata sulla bici oppure anche estraendola dalla propria sede.
Per rimuovere la batteria: con la chiave in posizione di
OFF (spento) spingete la chiave in direzione della batteria e
giratela in senso anti orario. Vedrete una piccola aletta nella
parte superiore della batteria sparire all’interno dell’intelaiatura. Potete ora fare scorrere la batteria in su estraendola
dall’alloggiamento. Per riposizionare la batteria effettuare
la procedura opposta. Accertarsi che l’aletta di chiusura sia
posta in posizione corrispondente all’interno del foro che
alloggia la batteria.
•Caricate sempre la vostra batteria in un luogo asciutto e
pulito. Mantenete il caricabatteria asciutto e pulito.

• Non utilizzate un caricabatteria diverso da quello fornito con la vostra bici elettrica
• Evitate ogni contatto con l’acqua mentre maneggiate la batteria
• Non toccate i due poli della batteria con le mani quando la rimuovete dal caricabatteria
• Evitare ogni possibile contatto con altri metalli dato che ciò può causare un cortocircuito
Girare la chiave in “ OFF”
• Tenete la batteria ed il caricabatteria fuori dalla portata dei bambini
• Durante la carica il caricabatterie si riscalda. Al contrario la batteria non deve mai
surriscaldarsi. Nel caso ciò accadesse, scollegare immediatamente il caricabatterie
e portare la batteria al rivenditore E-TECH autorizzato.
• Non mettete nulla sopra al caricabatteria o alla batteria mentre stanno caricando
• Se non utilizzate la vostra bicicletta per un lungo periodo di tempo, accertatevi di
caricare la batteria ogni 2 mesi.(*)
(*) La mancata osservanza rende nulla la garanzia della batteria.

UTILIZZO DELLA BICICLETTA

MANUTENZIONE DI BASE
La Vostra bicicletta elettrica E-TECH può essere utilizzata come una normale bici a pedale semplicemente non azionando la batteria.
PRIMA DI UTILIZZARE LA Vostra BICI E-TECH RICORDATE SEMPRE DI:
• Controllare che ci sia sufficiente carica nella batteria.
La batteria va sempre ricaricata al massimo (fino all’accesione
della luce verde). Contrariamente si può verificare una perdita di
efficienza e una minor durata della batteria stessa. Consigliamo
di scarichare considerevolmente la batteria prima di ricaricarla.
Attenzione: Non scaricare mai la batteria al di sotto
del15/20% della sua potenza.
• La bici elettrica E-TECH permette di regolare il livello di assistenza del motore utilizzando il display posto nella parte sinistra del manubrio. Ci sono 3 livelli di assistenza per i modelli
NEXUS•4, NEXUS•1.5 e CHABLIS e 5 livelli per NEXUS•5
e NEXUS•6.
• Quando la chiave è su ON (acceso) e l’indicatore di batteria
che si trova nel display è accesso, il sensore di velocità indica
la regolazione bassa; se la bici è pedalata a bassa velocità,
questa regolazione è ideale per guidarla in tutta sicurezza.
Se è richiesta una maggiore prestazione, per affrontare salite o
per ridurre lo sforzo fisico, premere il tasto + portando l’indicatore sul livello medio o alto per trasferire maggior potenza alla
bici.

• ATTENZIONE: quando la batteria raggiunge il punto più
basso sul display LCD è necessario spegnere l’assistenza. La
bici può comunque essere utilizzata come una bici normale,
senza l’assistenza del motore.
• Se il tasto di accensione viene premuto in modo che nessun
indicatore basso, medio o alto sia acceso, la bici può essere
guidata come una normale bici senza potere assistito.
• Le bici elettriche E-TECH sono tutte fornite con ingranaggi per il
cambio di velocità. Per cambiare ingranaggio, girare la manopola di destra in direzione + per aumentare il rapporto o verso
la direzione - per diminuirlo.
Ricordatevi che dovete pedalare mentre cambiate rapporto.
• Le luci sono fornite con la vostra bici elettrica E-TECH. Il faro
frontale è alimentato dalla batteria principale ed è automatico
o attivabile premendo il pulsante. Accertarsi che la luce non sia
accesa accidentalmente poichè questo diminuirà l’autonomia
della batteria.
• Per ogni altra operazione la vostra bici elettrica E-TECH funziona come una normale bici non assistita da motore.

RUOTE
Le ruote devono essere centrate nella forcella; se sentite rumori irregolari provenire dalle ruote recatevi dal Vostro rivenditore autorizzato più vicino per farle esaminare ed eventualmente riparate.
Le ruote devono girare uniformemente senza vacillare da un lato
all’altro. Se ciò dovesse accade, accertarsi che siano fissate correttamente. Potete controllare il “gioco” del cuscinetto dei mozzi
alzate la bicicletta fornendo una spinta manuale che faccia
girare la ruota. Quest’ultima, in condizioni normali, dovrebbe
girare più volte senza trovare nessuna resistenza.
Per controllare il “gioco” dei mozzi provate a spostare il cerchione da un lato all’altro tra le forcelle; non dovrebbe verificarsi nessun sensibile spostamento. Se rilevate “gioco” o se la ruota ha
difficoltà a girare, il cuscinetto deve essere registrato o sostituito.
Mettetevi in contatto con il rivenditore locale della bicicletta per
registrare i cuscinetti del mozzo o per sostituirli.
COPERTONI
I copertoninon devono presentare crepe, rotture o rigonfiamenti.
RAGGI
Controllate regolarmente il tensionamento dei raggi.
I raggi devono presentare tutti la stessa tensione. Nel caso di

allentamento dei raggi è necessario stringere gli ugelli ma vi
suggeriamo di farlo fare ad un rivenditore locale autorizzato.
In presenza di uno o più raggi allentati con un “gioco” laterale
maggiore di 4mm, vi suggeriamo di portare immediatamente a
far riparare la vostra bici da un rivenditore locale.
La guida con raggi allentati può provocare la rottura delle ruote.
PNEUMATICI
Prima dell’uso gonfiate le gomme alla pressione indicata sul lato
del pneumatico; ogni volta che andate in bicicletta assicuratevi
che i pneumatici siano gonfiati secondo la misura PSI dichiarata
sul pneumatico (normalmente 50psi).
La pressione impropria comporta una guida più dura, guasti o
usura prematura dei pneumatici.
Il pneumatico deve essere montato correttamente sul cerchione
e la sua tenuta dovrebbe essere verificata prima dell’utilizzo.
Il pneumatico deve essere ben montato all’interno del cerchio.
Assicuratevi che il pneumatico non sia incrinato o posizionato
irregolarmente.
Controllate che i pneumatici non presentino rigonfiamenti.
Assicuratevi che la valvola sia posizionata diritta nel cerchione.
I pneumatici irregolari devono essere sostituiti immediatamente.

MANUTENZIONE DI BASE
MANUBRIO E UNITA’ DI CONTROLLO
Il manubrio è costruito con una unità di controllo che è di facile
impiego mentre si guida.
Per la regolazione allentare il bullone dell’asta e raddrizzare il
manubrio in modo che sia allineato con la ruota anteriore. Una
volta diritto stringere il bullone.
È pericoloso perdere o danneggiare le manopole del vostro manubrio. Se la manopola si stacca potreste perdere il controllo
della vostra bici.
ALIMENTAZIONE ON (acceso) /OFF (spento)
L’alimentazione assistita ON - acceso e OFF - spento, è controllata girando la chiave situata sul lato della batteria.
La chiave inoltre assicura la batteria alla bici.
L’unità di controllo, posizionata sul manubrio indica anche il livello di carica della batteria.
BATTERIA / FUSIBILE
Le biciclette E-TECH sono dotate di batteria al litio da 36v che
non deve essere alterata in nessun modo.
La vostra bici ha 3 batterie da 12v collegate in serie. Sono alloggiate in compartimenti protetti dotati di una maniglia che ne
facilitano l’estrazione e la rimessa in posizione.
Il portabatteria è dotato di un lucchetto che assicura la batteria
alla vostra bici evitandone il furto.
Non tentate di aprire in nessun modo le batterie al litio.
L’apertura o la monomissione possono provocare il rilascio di
agenti chimici dannosi, rischio di scosse elettriche e d’incendio.
LUBRIFICAZIONE
Per mantenere un regolare funzionamento della catena e dei
denti dell’ingranaggio del cambio Shimano, utilizzate una piccola quantità di olio lubrificante ogni 6 mesi o più frequentemente
se appaiono asciutti.
INDICAZIONI DI GUIDA NECESSARIE
Prima dell’utilizzo assicurarsi che la batteria non sia completamente scarica e controllare la pressione dei
pneumatici (normalmente 50psi).
• Controllare che i freni anteriori e posteriori funzionino.
• Controllare che le ruote anteriori e posteriori siano saldamente fissate.
• Controllare che la sella ed il manubrio siano saldamente
fissati.
• Quando azionate i freni il motore viene staccato automaticamente. Durante la frenata non c’è mai assistenza del motore.
Se durante la frenta il motore non viene disinserito automaticamente recarsi subito presso il punto assistenza E-TECH più
vicino.
• Se l’indicatore della batteria mostra il livello basso dovete cominciare a pedalare appena possibile e ricaricare la batteria.
• Spegnere la batteria e rimuovere la chiave una volta parcheggiata la bicicletta.
FRENI
Sotto le leve dei freni sono posti dei sensori. Questi sensori
disattivano automaticamente l’alimentazione del motore in frenata. Controllare che funzionino correttamente prima di ogni
viaggio e garantirsi che i bulloni (situati sotto le leve dei freni)
siano fissati in modo corretto.
• Pedalare allungherà la durata della batteria e del motore.

SERVIZIO E RICAMBI
Al fine di preservare la vostra bici o mantenerne la
massima efficienza nel tempo è necessario effettuare periodicamente l’assistenza.
Il primo intervento in assistenza (questo è gratuito) va eseguito dopo 6 settimane,
il 2° dopo 6 mesi. Vi cosigliamo di fare i sucessivi controlli semestralmente
• Ricordate di controllare tutti i dadi e le viti prima e dopo il primo utilizzo della bicicletta. Tali controlli devono essere ripetuti
dopo una settimana e quindi periodicamente per mantenere
sempre efficiente e sicura la vostra bicicletta E-TECH.
• I cavi dei freni possono leggermente allungarsi durante le
prime settimane di utilizzo.
I freni e gli ingranaggi possono avere bisogno di regolazioni
dopo i primi giorni di utilizzo. Se non avete familiarità con
questo genere di operazioni chiedete l’assistenza del vostro
rivenditore locale.
• La vostra bicicletta E-TECH usa parti standard ove possibile.
Gli articoli quali i pneumatici, i tubi, le luci, le leve le pastiglie
dei freni ed i cavi possono essere richiesti al vostro negozio o
rivenditore locale di bici.
• Ricambi speciali quali: i componenti del motore, la batteria,
il sensore di coppia o parti del telaio, sono disponibili solo
presso E-TECH o distributori autorizzati.
• Ricambi opzionali quali: selle, manubri rinforzati o estesi, ecc.
sono per la maggior parte accessori standard e quidi adattabili ai modelli di bici E-TECH.

ogni vostra esigenza.

• It is forbidden to touch the electric contacts in the battery box. Touching, with wet hands or metal objects, simultaneously in the positive
(+) and negative (-) contacts, could cause injuries and / or burns, and short-circuit in the vehicle. Please pay special attention to this point.

USEFUL INFORMATION
Congratulations on receiving your new E-TECH Electric Bike.
Please read through this manual carefully before taking your bike out on the road.
The first step is to fully charge the battery before taking your bike
out on the road. So, put it on charge now and while it is charging you can read through the rest of the manual.
This manual contains important information about how to safely
use your bike. If you have any questions about the operation of
your E-TECH bike then please contact your E-TECH dealer. It is
extremely important that you follow the safety guidelines contai-
ned in this manual in order to ensure maximum safety.
It is the owner’s responsibility to carefully read all of the contents
of this manual and to comply with all law pertaining to the operation of bicycles and/or electric bikes in your local jurisdiction.
If you are unsure of what these may be or have any questions
then please contact your local Police station.
Please take extra care and caution when riding in snowy or rainy conditions.
• Your E-TECH Electric Bike should not be submerged in water due to the electronics; this will cause a short circuit and
damage the electronic apparatus
• You should safeguard your battery to ensure its continued
high performance. The normal full cycle battery life is about

• You should ensure you fully charge the battery before your
first use - Failure to do this can result in decreased battery
performance.
• Frequent braking and starting, riding uphill, travelling against
a strong wind, starting from a standstill and riding on rough or
muddy roads will consume extra battery power and shorten
the range.
• To get maximum life out of your battery charge it at least once
every 2 months. If you are storing or don’t use your E-TECH
electric bike often then we recommend that you charge the
battery once every 2 months to maintain maximum performance. Failure to do so will deplete your battery warranty.
• Your electric bike can be used in rain; however, it must not be
submerged in water or puddles. The controller, batteries, motor and other electrical devices may be short circuited causing
damage and creating a possible dangerous situation.
• Do not use charger or components other than that which is
approved by your E-TECH dealer.
• The battery chargers contain sensitive electronics - Improper
use or sudden jolts can damage the charger and its internal
electronics.
• Always turn off the motor and remove the key from ignition
before and during charging to prevent serious damage to the
controller and the battery.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR BATTERY
In the past electric bike owners found themselves having to push their electric bikes up steep hills or having to pedal the final leg of their journey home without any help from the battery.
This is because previous generations of electric bikes had limited battery power.
Precautions whilst Charging the Battery:
All E-TECH electric bikes have 36 volt batteries, which are the largest available in Europe.
All our electric bikes have minimum 10Ah battery. (9Ah for Nexus 1.5)
• Do not attempt to open or make any amendments/repairs to the battery.
• Avoid any contact with water when handling the battery.
How to Charge the Battery:
• The charger will become warm whilst charging so be sure
not to place it next to any flammable materials.
• Turn the key to OFF.
•You can charge your battery either attached to the bike
or on its own. To remove the battery with the key in the off
position push the key into the battery and turn in an anti
clockwise direction, you will see a small lug at the top of
the battery disappear within the casing. You will now be
able to slide the battery up and off of the retaining rail. To
replace the battery carry out the opposite procedure and
ensure that the locking lug locates within the hole in the
battery rail.
• Insert the plug of the charger into the charging socket of the
battery box.
• Insert the charger into a wall outlet, a red light should now
appear.
• Leave the battery charging for 5-6 hours.
• When the light on the charger turns green, this means your
battery is charged

• Do not use any other charger than the one provided with your electric bike.
• Do not touch the two poles of the battery with your hands when removing it for charging, please also avoid any other metals touching the battery as this may cause a
short circuit.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not place anything on top of the charger or battery whilst they are charging.
• If you do not use your bicycle for a long period of time then please ensure you charge
the battery at least once every 2 months.
• As explained earlier when charging your charger will get warm or even hot. The
battery should never get hot. If this happens, unplug charger immediately and return
battery to your authorized E-TECH dealer.
• Always charge your battery in a dry and clean place, keep
the charger dry and clean.

BICYCLE USAGE
REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Your E-TECH Electric bicycle can be used as a normal pedal bike by simply not switching on the battery.
BEFORE USING YOUR BIKE ALWAYS:
•Check there is sufficient charge in the battery, if you do not charge
fully, when topping up, then the battery becomes less efficient. It is
best to let the battery run down considerably before recharging it.
Attention: never discharge below 15/20%
•The E-TECH Electric bike is fitted with a low, medium and
high variable power sensor. When the key is turned and the
battery indicator lights come on which is also situated on this
same unit, the speed sensor defaults to the low setting. When
the bike is peddled to a speed of 4km/h. the bike is safe to be
ridden with this setting. If extra power is required for hills or less
physical energy then pressing the + button to medium or high,
more power will be delivered The range of the battery will be
shortened on a medium or high power setting.
•To change gear, you simply turn the + button to change up the
gears and turn the - button to change down lever the gears.
Remember to always pedal when changing gears.
•Lights are provided on your E-TECH Electric bike. The front
light takes its power from the main battery and is either automatic or turned on by pressing the button on the light it self.
•All other operations of your E-TECH Electric bike are as per a
normal pedal cycle.
Rims
The rims should be smooth and without cracks, breaks or bulges.
Spokes
Check the tension of the spokes regularly, the same tension should
apply to all spokes, if there is some minor loosening of the spokes
you may need to tighten the nipples but we do recommend you
take it to a local dealer. If there is a loose spoke or the rim has

Wheels
The wheels should be centred in the fork or dropouts, if you hear
any irregular noise from the wheels then take to your nearest
authorised dealer to have them looked at and possibly repaired.
The wheels should rotate smoothly without wobbling from side to
side, if this happens, please ensure they are fastened correctly.
You can check the bearing play of the hubs by lifting the bicycle
and spinning the wheel, it should continue to spin for several
times after you have stopped spinning manually. To check the
play of the hubs try to move the rim from side to side between
the forks, no substantial play should exist. If you detect play or
if the wheel is difficult to turn, the bearing must be adjusted or
replaced. Please contact your local bicycle dealer to have the
hub bearings adjusted or new bearings fitted.

side play of more than 4mm, we recommend you immediately
take your bike to a local bike dealer to be repaired. Riding with
loose spokes will cause the wheel to fail.
Tyres
Inflate your tyres to the pressure embossed on the sidewall before
use. Every time you ride make sure the tyres are inflated according to the psi as stated on the sidewall of your tyre (normally
50psi). Improper tyre pressure will make riding more difficult,
cause excessive wear and premature failure of the tyre. The tyre
should be properly seated in the rim and the fitting of the tyre
bead should be checked. If the tube is pinched between the rim
and the tyre it will fail when inflated. Make sure the tyre is not
cracked or worn unevenly. Check the tyres for bulges. Check
and make sure that the valve stem is straight in the rim. Irregular
tyres should be replaced immediately.
BRAKES
Brakes are fitted with sensors located beneath the brake handles.
These sensors automatically disactivate the power to the the engine while braking. Check that they are working properly before
each trip and ensure that the bolts (located under the brake levers) are securely fastened.

Handlebar and Control Unit
The handlebar has been created with a Control Unit which is
easy to use while riding. To straighten the handlebars turn the
stem binder bolt to loosen it and straighten the handlebars so that
they are level with the front wheel. Once straight tighten. Loose or
damaged grips on your handlebars are dangerous. If your grip
comes off you could lose control of your bike.
Brakes
Riding with brakes that are worn or damaged, or with worn
cables or wheels that are in poor condition may result in losing
control of your bike. Wet weather may hinder your brake performance so please take extra care in these conditions. Before each
ride check to make sure your brake cables are free of obstacles
and are working properly before operating the bike.
Power On/Off
The power on and off is controlled by turning the key located at

the side of the battery. This key also locks the battery to the bike.
The Control Unit, located on the handlebars also indicates the
charge level of the battery.
Batteries/Fuse
The battery is a 36v lithium battery and must not be tampered
with in any way. Your bike has 3 12v batteries hooked up in a
series. These are in the protective case with a handle to enable
you to easily take these on and off your bike. There is a locking
key to lock these batteries to your bike to discourage theft. Do
not attempt to open any of these lithium batteries, doing so may
cause chemical, electrical or fire hazards.
USEFUL RIDING TIPS
Before riding, make sure that the battery is not fully discharged Check that the air pressure in the tyres is
normal (50psi).
• Check that the front and back brakes are working.
• Pedaling will lengthen the life of the battery and motor.
• Check that the front and back wheels are securely fastened
Check that the seat and handlebars are also securely fastened
The brakes will cut the motor out when riding so there is never
any assistence when braking
• If the battery indicator shows low you should begin to pedal
and then recharge your battery as soon as possible.
• Turn off the battery and remove the key when parked.
Lubrication
To maintain a smooth operation of the chain and the Shimano
Gear cogs put a small amount of lubricating oil on them every 6
months or sooner if they look dry.

SERVICE AND SPARES
The bike needs servicing at regular intervals in order
to keep it safe and for it to operate to its maximum potential. The 1st service
(which is free of charge) is after 6 weeks the 2nd service is after 6 months
and then 6 months thereafter.
•Remember to check all nuts and screws before and after
the first ride. This will need to be repeated after a week or
so of riding and periodically to maintain safe use of your
E-TECH bicycle.
•Cables may also stretch a little during the first few uses.
Brakes and gears may need to be adjusted after the first few
days to ensure correct operation. Refer to your local cycle
shop if you are not familiar with this operation.
•Your E-TECH bicycle uses standard cycle parts wherever
possible. Items such as tyres, tubes, lights, brake pads/
blocks and cables may be obtained from your local cycle
shop or retailer.
•Specialist parts such as the motor, battery, torque sensor or
frame components are only available from E-TECH Electric
Bikes or their authorised distributors.
•Optional items such as gel seats, straight or extended
handlebars etc are all available to fit and most standard
cycle accessories should fit the E-TECH bikes. E-TECH
Electric Bikes is happy to provide accessories to meet your
needs.
