SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. FRONT PANEL

IMPORTANTE
Prima di collegare ed utilizzare la base microfonica, leggere attentamente le istruzioni contenute in
questo manuale, il quale è da conservare per riferimenti futuri. Il presente manuale costituisce parte
integrante del prodotto e deve accompagnare quest’ultimo anche nei passaggi di proprietà, per
permettere al nuovo proprietario di conoscere le modalità d’installazione e d’utilizzo e le avvertenze
per la sicurezza.
L’installazione e l’utilizzo errati del prodotto esimono RCF S.p.A. da ogni responsabilità.
AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA
1. Tutte le avvertenze, in particolare quelle relative alla sicurezza, devono essere lette con particolare
attenzione, in quanto contengono importanti informazioni.
2. Prima di accendere le apparecchiature, assicurarsi che tutte le connessioni siano corrette.
Non collegare / scollegare la base microfonica quando il sistema è acceso.
3. Accertarsi che il cavo della base microfonica non possa essere calpestato o schiacciato da
oggetti, al fine di salvaguardarne l’integrità.
4. Non immergere la base microfonica nell’acqua (od in altri liquidi), non lanciarla, non lasciarla
cadere.
5. Non eseguire sulla base microfonica interventi / modifiche / riparazioni; contattare i centri di
assistenza autorizzati nel caso che non funzioni correttamente.
6. Nel caso che dalla base microfonica provengano stranamente odori anomali od addirittura fumo,
spegnere immediatamente il sistema audio.
7. RCF S.p.A. raccomanda vivamente che l’installazione del sistema audio sia eseguita solamente
da installatori professionali qualificati (oppure da ditte specializzate) in grado di farla correttamente
e certificarla in accordo con le normative vigenti.
Tutto il sistema audio dovrà essere in conformità con le norme e le leggi vigenti in materia di impianti
elettrici.
8. Vi sono numerosi fattori meccanici ed elettrici da considerare quando si installa un sistema audio
professionale (oltre a quelli prettamente acustici, come la pressione sonora, gli angoli di copertura,
la risposta in frequenza, ecc.).
9. Non puntare la base microfonica verso un diffusore vicino, onde evitare un possibile innesco.
10. Perdita dell’udito
L’esposizione ad elevati livelli sonori può provocare la perdita permanente dell’udito. Il livello di
pressione acustica pericolosa per l’udito varia sensibilmente da persona a persona e dipende dalla
durata dell’esposizione. Per evitare un’esposizione potenzialmente pericolosa ad elevati livelli di
pressione acustica, è necessario che chiunque sia sottoposto a tali livelli utilizzi delle adeguate
protezioni; quando si fa funzionare un trasduttore in grado di produrre elevati livelli sonori è
necessario indossare dei tappi per orecchie o delle cuffie protettive.
11. Per evitare che fenomeni induttivi diano luogo a ronzii, disturbi e compromettano il buon
funzionamento dell’impianto, il cavo della base microfonica non deve essere canalizzato insieme ai
conduttori dell’energia elettrica e/o alle linee dei diffusori acustici.
12. Collocare la base microfonica lontano da fiamme (o fonti di calore eccessivo). Non usare solventi,
alcool, benzina o altre sostanze volatili per la pulitura.

l’attivazione dell’annuncio).
Nel caso di chiamata simultanea da più basi microfoniche, solo una sarà abilitata, mentre nelle altre
sarà indicato lo stato di occupato.
Al termine dell’annuncio, rilasciare il tasto di attivazione; l’unità ed il sistema torneranno allo stato
di attesa.

2.4.2. SELEZIONE DELLE ZONE DI CHIAMATA
Questo paragrafo fornisce ulteriori informazioni sulla selezione delle zone di chiamata.
Esempio di selezione diretta di una zona:
dopo aver premuto i tasti 4 e OK, sul display è indicato il nome della zona:

solo una).
Per aggiungere la zona 22 all’elenco premere in sequenza 2, 2, OK.

Il nome della zona è mostrato per 2 s, poi sono di nuovo elencate tutte le zone selezionate:

Le zone di chiamata possono anche essere selezionate una dopo l’altra più velocemente,
interrompendo la visualizzazione del nome della zona precedentemente inserita.
È possibile premere uno dei tasti funzione, ad esempio il tasto C:

Il tasto CLR cancella l’ultima selezione:
• La lista delle zone può essere interamente cancellata tenendo premuto il tasto CLR per più di 0,7 s
(oppure il tasto CLR è premuto quando la lista include una sola zona).
• Per ritornare allo stato iniziale d’attesa: premere CLR o OK quando la lista delle zone è vuota.
• Se si inserisce un numero di zona inesistente oppure si preme un tasto funzione non programmato,
sul display appare per 2 secondi un messaggio d’errore; esempio:

• Un numero di zona che è stato programmato come messaggio non può essere inserito nell’elenco
delle zone da chiamare; allo stesso modo, una funzione di controllo non può essere attivata
quando la lista delle zone da chiamare è aperta.

2.5. ANNUNCI SELETTIVI (COME DEFAULT)
L’ultima zona selezionata è mostrata sul display .
L’annuncio selettivo inizia quando si preme il tasto

Durante lo stato d’attesa, è possibile cancellare l’ultima zona selezionata tramite il tasto CLR (o tutto
l’elenco delle zone tenendo premuto il tasto CLR per più di 0,7 s).
La nuova selezione potrà essere effettuata come spiegato nel paragrafo 2.4.2. .
L’annuncio generale (se programmato) può essere attivato tramite uno dei tasti funzione A ÷ H .
2.6. MENÙ DELLE FUNZIONI
Si accede al menù premendo il tasto M.
Il piccolo simbolo di posizione visualizzato a destra nel display indica le pagine del menù (4).
La prima pagina è “Group Selection & Settings” (selezione gruppi ed impostazioni):

Nota: la pressione di uno dei tasti tra M, OK, CLR, l’inserimento di una password errata o 2 minuti di
attesa dopo la pressione di un tasto, comportano l’uscita automatica dal menù delle funzioni.
Dopo l’inserimento della password corretta, si accede alle pagine successive:
• “Error Log & Clearing” (registro degli errori e cancellazione);
• “ADA sw / Config Nr” (versione del software, pagina solo informativa).

2.6.1. SELEZIONE GRUPPI ED IMPOSTAZIONI
Quando si accede alla funzione “Group Selection & Settings”, il display mostra il gruppo nr.1:

Vi possono essere fino a 256 gruppi (a seconda della configurazione del sistema).
Se un gruppo ha un nome, questo è mostrato nella seconda riga del display.
Se è presente più di un solo gruppo, è mostrato il simbolo

Quando si accede al controllo del volume, sul display appare in nome del gruppo ed una barra:

Durante la modifica, il nome del gruppo è momentaneamente (per 3 s) sostituito con il livello del

L’escursione del volume è 0 ÷ 15. La memorizzazione del volume (e l’uscita dalla pagina di
impostazione) si ottiene premendo M , OK oppure CLR.
2.6.2. SELEZIONE MEMORIZZATA
Tramite la funzione “Memory Paging”, è possibile programmare localmente (e tenere in memoria)
una combinazione di zone. Il display mostra le zone selezionate:

Le zone possono essere cambiate o cancellate qualora fosse necessario.
L’annuncio si attiva tramite il tasto

2.7. RIPRODUZIONE MESSAGGI REGISTRATI
Le zone dove saranno inviati i messaggi sono state selezionate nella configurazione.
Occorre premere un tasto funzione (od un tasto allarme, solo per BM 7806) a cui è stato associato
l’invio di un messaggio.
L’invio del messaggio richiede la conferma (tasto OK):

Note:
•
se il tasto OK non è premuto, si ritorna allo stato d’attesa automaticamente dopo 15 secondi;

dopo aver premuto OK, il messaggio è inviato una volta ed il display mostra il suo nome:

2.8. CONTROLLI DEL SISTEMA
2.8.1. TASTI FUNZIONE
I tasti funzione possono essere stati configurati per funzionare come comandi temporanei (impulsi)
od in modo bistabile (commutazione ON / OFF ad ogni pressione).
Un esempio di comando temporaneo (è premuto il tasto funzione G):

OPEN DOOR
Un’uscita di controllo è attivata per il tempo specificato nella configurazione (il display mostra
l’attivazione per 4 secondi).
Un esempio di funzionamento bistabile (commutazione ON / OFF):
Il tasto funzione H è premuto:
H: control ON
LIGHTS
si attiva un’uscita di controllo (il display mostra l’attivazione per 4 secondi).
Il tasto funzione H è premuto di nuovo:
H: control OFF
LIGHTS
l’uscita di controllo è disattivata (il display mostra la disattivazione per 4 secondi).
2.8.2. ACCENSIONE / SPEGNIMENTO DEL SISTEMA
Il sistema può essere acceso o spento tramite il tasto “stand-by” (3) della base microfonica, se
questo è stato abilitato.
Quando il sistema è spento, anche il display della base microfonica lo è. Quando si accende il
sistema, sul display appare per qualche secondo il messaggio:
SYSTEM IS
SWITCHING ON. . .
non appena appare la scritta “System ready”, il sistema è in stato d’attesa e funzionante:

Un circuito interno rileva la presenza di un segnale (la voce) alla capsula microfonica.
Se la funzione VOX è attiva (microinterruttore DIP nr. 7 sul pannello posteriore posto su ON), quando
l’annuncio è terminato, il microfono si disattiverà automaticamente dopo un tempo prestabilito (“VOX
time”, impostato nella configurazione; nota: se posto a “0”, il microfono rimarrà sempre attivo fino
alla sua disattivazione manuale).
Il collegamento di un microfono esterno alla presa jack (3,5mm) disabilita quello della base.

della registrazione tramite l’ingresso AUX IN);
premendo di nuovo il tasto funzione (o d’allarme) assegnato, si disattiva l’ingresso AUX IN.

3. TASTI ALLARME DELLA BASE MICROFONICA BM 7806
Tutte le funzioni della base microfonica BM 7802 sono disponibili anche nel modello BM 7806 che
ha in più 6 tasti allarme con protezione.
Questi 6 tasti cono configurabili (tramite il software del sistema) per:

IMPORTANT NOTES
Before connecting and using this paging microphone, please read this instruction manual carefully
and keep it on hand for future reference. The manual is to be considered an integral part of this
product and must accompany it when changing ownership as a reference for correct installation
and use as well as for the safety precautions.
RCF S.p.A. will not assume any responsibility for the incorrect installation and / or use of this
product.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. All the precautions, in particular the safety ones, must be read with special attention, as they
provide important information.
2. Make sure all connections have been made correctly before switching all devices on.
Do not connect / disconnect the paging microphone when the system is operating.
3. Protect the paging microphone cable from damage and assure it is positioned where it cannot be
stepped on or crushed by objects.
4. Do not put the paging microphone into water (or another liquid), do not throw it, do not let it fall
down.
5. Never attempt to carry out any operations, modifications or repairs.
If the paging microphone does not work properly, contact your authorized service centre.
6. Should the paging microphone emit any strange odour or even smoke, turn the sound system off
immediately.
7. RCF S.p.A. strongly recommends the sound system installation is only made by professional
qualified installers (or specialised firms), who can certify it according to the regulations in force.
The entire audio system must comply with the current standards and regulations regarding electrical
systems.
8. There are numerous mechanical and electrical factors to be considered when installing a
professional audio system (in addition to those which are strictly acoustic, such as sound pressure,
angles of coverage, frequency response, etc.).
9. Do not point the microphone at near loudspeakers, in order to avoid feedback.
10. Hearing loss
Exposure to high sound levels can cause permanent hearing loss. The acoustic pressure level that
leads to hearing loss is different from person to person and depends on the duration of exposure.
To prevent potentially dangerous exposure to high levels of acoustic pressure, anyone who is
exposed to these levels should use adequate protection devices. When a transducer capable of
producing high sound levels is being used, it is therefore necessary to wear ear plugs or protective
earphones.
11. To prevent inductive effects from causing hum, noise and a bad system operating, paging
microphone cables should not be laid together with other electric cables (mains) and loudspeaker
lines.
12. Keep the paging microphone far from any excessive heat source. Do not use solvents, alcohol,
benzene or other volatile substances for cleaning the external parts.

2.9. VOX FUNCTION
An internal circuit detects the signal (voices) captured by the microphone capsule.
If this function (named ‘VOX’) is enabled (rear panel dip-switch 7 set to ON), when the announcement
ends, the microphone will be muted after the ‘VOX time’ (set in the software configuration).
Note: if ‘VOX time’ is set to 0, the microphone has to be turned off manually.

It is necessary to set at least a (A ÷ H) function key (or a BM 7806 alarm button) to TAPE RECORDER
PAGING in the software configuration.
After pushing the assigned function key (/ alarm button), ‘TAPE OK’ is displayed and the AUX IN
input is open.
Then push the PLAY key of the connected external player; when the recorded annoucement ends,
push the STOP player key.
Notes:
Whenever it is needed, the user can always enable the internal microphone •
(and mute the AUX IN input).

When the assigned function key (/ alarm button) is pushed again, AUX IN will get muted.
3. BM 7806 ALARM BUTTONS
All BM 7802 features are also on the BM 7806 model, which has 6 additional alarm buttons with
