paludosa, bensì molto fertile. Gli Champs-Élysées erano in origine dei semplici campi, fino al 1616, quando Maria de' Medici decise di farvi costruire un
lungo percorso alberato, un percorso che si estendeva dal Louvre fino alla Tuileries. Solo nel 1724 il viale venne esteso fino a Place de l'Étoile.

Belgrave Square e nella Eaton Square. Essa era la più elegante delle
zone residenziali della capitale britannica e lo è rimasta ancora oggi.
