Filati per tessitura ortogonale e maglieria circolare
La rinnovata popolarità del cappotto ha ispirato la ricerca di Safil per l’AI 2016/2017.
Safil interpreta il trend con un contributo di ricerca e novità: il cappotto diventa il capo
protagonista della stagione invernale che esalta la morbidezza, la leggerezza e il potere termico
delle fibre naturali, valorizza i volumi e le textures dei tessuti, acquisisce carattere grazie alle
garzature e ai tessuti a pelo lungo.
Pile è la gamma di filati dedicati a cappotti leggeri, voluminosi e caldi in vari mix di fibre naturali:
alpaca, mohair, merino extrafine e merino con trattamento mercerizzato, che conferisce alla
mano del tessuto un’impareggiabile morbidezza e lucentezza. Pile propone un’offerta ampia
di filati per tessuti a pelo, accomunati dalla capacità di dare pregio e novità ad un tessuto
tradizionale del guardaroba invernale.
Utilizza le stesse fibre anche Fancy, la linea di filati fantasia, realizzati con ritorcitoi a fuso
cavo, per lavorazioni bouclé, per capispalla dai volumi gonfi e morbidi.
La novità nelle cartelle colori proposte sia per i tessuti ortogonali che per i tessuti in maglieria
circolare è la proposta di gamme inedite di filati mouliné in pura lana e lana cotone. Tali fili,
composti da capi singoli nei colori mélange, sono ritorti per generare dei filati a 2 o 3 capi con
effetti estremamente eleganti dove i mouliné sono armoniosamente amalgamati dalle basi dei
capi singoli mélange.

Una variegata categoria di prodotti in cui Safil affianca a referenze consolidate proposte
innovative e molti blend di sua esclusiva produzione, realizzati con tecnologia
o tradizionale.
Nella linea Merino ricordiamo Safiella, filato che è diventato un simbolo dell’azienda grazie al
suo rapporto qualità/prezzo e alla ricchezza cromatica.
Tra le novità di Merino Blend troviamo Eiger, una mischia intima composta al 50% da lana
mercerizzata e al 50% da polipropilene, fibra a basso peso specifico che non assorbe umidità.
Chamonix Core-Spun è un filato di lana total easy care, caratterizzato da elevata tenacità
grazie all’unione con un filamento di nylon.
Infine un gruppo di filati che garantiscono un alto livello di comfort in tutte le situazioni d’uso.
Tra questi Cool-Wool (merino 80% / Coolmax® 20%) e Promax (Coolmax® 80% / Polypropylene
20%) che favoriscono l’evaporazione del sudore e la termoregolazione corporea. Permettono
quindi di realizzare capi che asciugano velocemente e non devono essere stirati (wash and
wear) e si distinguono per la mano morbidissima e confortevole.

Yarns for weaving and circular knitting
Safil research for Fall-Winter 2016/2017 is inspired by the famous popularity of the coat.
Safil interprets the trend with a research and novelty contribution: the coat becomes the
garment protagonist of the winter season exalting the softness, the lightness and the thermal
power of the natural fibres, enhancing the volumes and the textures of the fabrics, acquiring
character thanks to the teasings and the deep-pile fabrics.
Pile is the range of yarns for light, voluminous and hot coats, in various mixes of natural
fibres: alpaca, mohair, extra fine merino and merino with mercerized treatment, conferring to
the fabric handle incomparable softness and sheen. Pile proposes a wide offer of yarns for pile
fabrics, having in common the ability to enhance and to offer novelties to a traditional fabric
of the winter wardrobe.
The same fibres are also used by Fancy, the line of fantasy yarns created through hollow
spindle twisting machines, for bouclé processing, outerwear with puffy and soft volumes.
The novelty in the colour cards proposed both for the orthogonal fabrics and the fabrics in
circular knitting is the proposal of new ranges of mouliné yarns in pure wool and wool/cotton.
Such yarns, composed of single strands in mélange colours, are twisted in order to generate
2- or 3-strand yarns with extremely elegant effects where the moulinés are harmoniously
amalgamated by the bases of the single mélange strands.
Circular Knitting and Hosiery

In Merino line, we recall Safiella, the yarn that has become a symbol of the company thanks

Among the novelties of Merino Blend we find Eiger, an intimate mixture composed 50% of
mercerized wool and 50% of polypropylene, fibre with low specific weight that does not absorb
humidity. Chamonix Core-Spun is a total easy care wool yarn, characterized by high tenacity
thanks to the combination with a nylon filament.
Finally, a group of yarns guaranteeing a high level of comfort in all the use situations.
Among these ones: Cool-Wool (merino 80% / Coolmax® 20%) and Promax (Coolmax® 80% /
Polypropylene 20%) favouring the sweat evaporation and the body thermoregulation. They
allow so manufacturing garments to be dried quickly without ironing (wash and wear) and
they distinguish themselves by the very soft and comfortable handle.
