utilizzato un corpo illuminante di potenza ridotta per limitare la temperatura
del vetro. Nel montaggio a pavimento, prevedere un buon drenaggio.

Thermoplastic fitting for the wall or floor-assembly of spotlights series
SUB, GLP, GLR, GLF and LED. Resisting to the low-speed running
of vehicles weighting up to 3,5 tons. The kit includes the spot, one metal
tube and one plastic washer with accessories. For installation in the areas
likely to be run by vehicles or crossed by pedestrians, a lighting element
with reduced power has to be used in order to limit the glass temperature.
In case of floor-assembly or outdoor installation, provide for a correct
draining.

corrente elettrica in luce. Sono grandi solamente pochi millimetri per cui offrono sostanziali vantaggi costruttivi
rappresentando in molte applicazioni una valida alternativa alle tradizionali sorgenti luminose. Dal 1970 ad
oggi, anno in cui si sono avute le prime concrete applicazioni industriali, si sono compiuti decisivi progressi
qualitativi in termini di gamma e di efficienza luminosa. Specialmente negli ultimi 5 anni circa sono stati introdotti
LED a luce bianca e a luce blu. Il LED è composto da strati diversi di materiali semiconduttori che
opportunamente polarizzati emettono una luce monocromatica a differenza di una lampada ad incandescenza
che emana uno spettro continuo di luce. Il colore della luce del LED dipende ovviamente dal materiale utilizzato,
mentre l'efficienza viaggia di pari passo con l'evolversi delle tecnologie di produzione. Attualmente si
raggiungono oltre 55 lm/W a seconda del colore, efficienza grosso modo simile a quella di una comune lampada
al sodio bassa pressione a luce bianca. Naturalmente , visto che un singolo LED ha una potenza di pochi decimi
di watt, o di uno o tre watt nei modelli più potenti, per ottenere la stessa intensità di luce di una lampada
tradizionale occorrono svariati LED opportunamente collegati fra di loro e allo stato attuale dei prezzi, i costi
dell'operazione non sempre sono giustificabili. Occorre dire però che in molte applicazioni l'uso del LED è già
ampiamente giustificato e consente originali e convenienti soluzioni. La massima luminosità del LED si ottiene
con una corretta alimentazione in corrente continua costante, che varia in funzione del colore del LED, per cui è
d'obbligo utilizzare gli speciali alimentatori consigliati o proposti dal costruttore dell'apparecchio di
illuminazione. Una alimentazione non corretta provoca quasi sempre la rottura del LED in breve tempo.
Grazie alle dimensioni ridotte i LED, singolarmente o a gruppi, consentono di progettare apparecchi compatti e
di ridotta profondità. La luce, emessa in una ben determinata direzione riduce le perdite normalmente causate
dal riflettore. In applicazioni in cui risulta oneroso, difficoltoso o pericoloso sostituire frequentemente la sorgente
luminosa, la lunga vita del LED permette un indubbio e significativo risparmio sui costi di manutenzione. Il LED è
particolarmente resistente ad urti o sollecitazioni meccaniche, consentendo l'utilizzo in condizioni ambientali
particolarmente difficili come ad esempio in apparecchi da incasso per pavimentazioni stradali, di centri
commerciali, aeroporti ecc. L'utilizzo di LED a luci colorate permette inoltre l'eliminazione di filtri che riducono
drasticamente l'efficienza dell'apparecchio. Il consumo ridotto del LED, permette inoltre l'impiego di pannelli
solari o di batterie per l'alimentazione. Laddove necessiti un illuminazione di oggetti sensibili al calore o ai raggi
UV, la luce fredda del LED, priva di emissione di infrarossi ed ultravioletti, è l'ideale soluzione al problema.
I moduli LED sono composti da singoli LED, integrati con altri componenti passivi o attivi di regolazione della
corrente, di norma montati su appositi circuiti stampati rigidi o flessibili, con forme che seguono fedelmente lo
spirito creativo del designer. La realizzazione dei moduli richiede specifiche conoscenze relative ai componenti
discreti, alla progettazione elettrica, termica ed ottica. Grazie alla disponibilità di LED bianchi, rossi, verdi, blu,
arancioni e gialli, al loro spessore minimo, alla compattezza e flessibilità, si possono progettare strutture sottili
per la realizzazione di segnaletica e illuminazione di orientamento con un facile inserimento nelle strutture
architettoniche preesistenti.
Per esperienza, durante il funzionamento si ha una costante e permanente riduzione del flusso luminoso
chiamato degradazione della luce emessa, causato da una riduzione dell'efficienza della generazione di luce.
Questa riduzione è dovuta principalmente ai materiali con i quali è costruito il LED ed è più alta durante le prime
centinaia di ore di funzionamento, mentre in seguito il decadimento avviene in modo molto meno accellerato.
Quasi tutti i tipi di Led (salvo quelli di cui al successivo punto 4) presentano un decadimento di almeno il 15%
durante le prime 1000 o 2000 ore di funzionamento. È' da notare però che l'occhio umano è insensibile ai piccoli
cambiamenti nell'emissione di luce ed è necessaria una riduzione di circa il 30-40% affinchè sia percepito un
cambiamento sostanziale.
I LED attualmente disponibili sul mercato sono molti, ma si possono facilmente dividere in 4 principali categorie:
1)Led da 3 o da 5 mm, così come da molto tempo tempo ormai largamente conosciuti, con fascio di luce
piuttosto stretto;
2)Led del tipo Piranha, di forma quadrata e con emissione di luce con un fascio abbastanza largo;
3)Led del tipo SMD per utilizzo in circuiti subminiaturizzati;
4)Led con gamma di potenza nettamente superiore alle precedenti tre categorie.
I LED appartenenti alle prime due categorie, racchiusi in contenitore da 3 o da 5 mm, o in versione quadrata,
sono attualmente quelli più economici; presentano caratteristiche meccaniche elevate, sono disponibili in molti
colori, e raggiungono efficienze luminose che vanno da 1 a 5 lumen per watt, a seconda del colore. La loro
potenza rimane limitata a circa 0,07-0,1 watt. L'aspettativa di vita media su questo tipo di Led, dipende molto dal
colore; mentre sul colorato la luminosità si mantiene abbastanza costante nel tempo, per il colore bianco la
luminosità decade già dopo le prime 2000 ore di funzionamento e continua progressivamente a diminuire,
riducendosi al 20% di quella iniziale intorno alle 20.000 ore di funzionamento. In linea di massima quasi tutti i
costruttori ritengono di stabilire una vita media di circa 10.000 ore per il bianco e di 30.000 ore per i colorati,
intendendo per vita media il punto in cui il LED fornisce ancora almeno il 40% della luminosità iniziale.
I Led della terza categoria, prevalentemente utilizzati in circuiti in miniatura, sono disponibili in una vasta
gamma di prestazioni avendo un'efficienza che varia da un minimo di 1 lumen per watt ad un massimo di 6
lumen per watt e con potenze unitarie da 0,05 W a 0,3 W . In questa categoria si possono trovare Led con
un'aspettativa di vita che va da 30 a 40.000 ore anche per il colore bianco.
Nella quarta categoria si trovano dei Led ai quali dedicheremo un maggior approfondimento, in quanto
rappresentano un po' quello che potrà essere il prossimo futuro del settore, applicato all'illuminazione.
Questo tipo di Led e nello specifico quelli prodotti da Luxeon hanno una potenza tipica di 1 W, ma si
stanno sperimentando anche potenze di 3 e di 5 W su ogni singolo Led. Ci soffermiamo sul Led da 1 W
che attualmente raggiunge un'efficienza luminosa di 60 lumen.
I led Luxeon sono costruiti con una tecnica particolare che consente il più elevato flusso luminoso tra
quelli disponibili sul mercato e la tecnologia di incapsulamento in silicone anziché in epossidica
garantisce una più lunga stabilità nel tempo. Per questi motivi la vita media dei Led Luxeon, con un
utilizzo corretto, è stimata ad oltre 50.000 ore intendendosi che a 50.000 ore il Led è ancora in grado di
garantire circa il 70% della luminosità iniziale indipendentemente dal colore.
A differenza degli altri tipi di Led, il Led Luxeon è costruito in modo che il calore prodotto venga dissipato
all'esterno del Led stesso, creando così i presupposti per un decadimento minore dell'efficienza; è
quindi normale che un apparecchio, correttamente progettato con i Led Luxeon, abbia un certo
riscaldamento, sfatando il mito del Led freddo. La luce del Led Luxeon è sicuramente e comunque una
luce fredda in quanto il calore viene correttamente smaltito attraverso la struttura dell'apparecchio di
illuminazione.
Il tasso di difettosità (come per ogni componente elettronico) inteso come percentuale di rottura dei Led
per unità di tempo di funzionamento, può essere diviso in tre parti fra le quali quella iniziale
comunemente detta periodo di mortalità infantile, rappresenta quella con maggior probabilità di rotture.
La seconda parte rappresenta il periodo usuale di funzionamento durante il quale la percentuale di
rotture si mantiene molto bassa e praticamente costante. La terza parte rappresenta la fine della vita
utile del Led, durante la quale aumentano le probabilità che cessi il funzionamento del dispositivo.
In conclusione, secondo i test condotti da Luxeon, si può ipotizzare una percentuale di rotture di circa 1
Led ogni 10.000 pezzi entro le prime 10.000 ore di funzionamento e di 5 Led ogni 10.000 pezzi nelle
successive 40.000 ore. Successivamente questa percentuale si dovrebbe mantenere costante, non
escludendo quindi che oltre il 99% dei Led raggiunga il traguardo delle 100.000 ore di funzionamento.
Non è realisticamente pensabile di introdurre concetti di durate ancora superiori, anche se ipotizzati da
Luxeon, in quanto sopraggiungono sicuramente prima i limiti di età di altri componenti costituenti
l'apparecchio di illuminazione nel suo complesso, dovuti all'usura, agli agenti atmosferici e a decine di
altre cause difficilmente determinabili se si considera che 100.000 ore di funzionamento notturno
rappresentano un totale di circa 20 anni.
Per quanto riguarda le tolleranze sulla cromaticità o sulla temperatura colore, occorre considerare che
queste dipendono da molteplici fattori per cui pur operando una selezione sul Led, i vari costruttori
garantiscono i relativi valori all'interno di un range determinato da un equo compromesso qualità/prezzo.
Per quanto riguarda i Led Luxeon, la temperatura colore dei led bianchi in tonalità warm è compresa fra
2850 e 3800 °K, in tonalità cool è compresa fra 4500 e 8000 °K. I valori stabiliti di lunghezza d'onda per i
Led colorati sono i seguenti: da 520 a 550 nm per il verde, da 490 a 520 nm per il cyano, da 440 a 490 nm
per il blu, da 620 a 645 nm per il rosso e da 585 a 597 nm per l'ambra.
La Tector, quando necessario e se economicamente conveniente, può operare una ulteriore selezione
sia in temperatura colore che in lunghezza d'onda, al fine di uniformare la tonalità di luce di più dispositivi
funzionanti in un'unica installazione. Non sono quindi coperti da garanzia di sostituzione un dispositivo o
più dispositivi che presentino uno scostamento di cromaticità rispetto ai valori minimi e massimi
dichiarati da Luxeon, salvo in caso, che il range di tolleranza non sia stato espressamente concordato in
sede di ordine.
Ad integrazione delle normali condizioni di garanzia previste per legge o riportate sui nostri documenti di
vendita, si precisa che alla luce di quanto sopra riportato, nonostante le pregevoli caratteristiche dei Led,
non si può escludere al 100% la possibilità di guasti durante il funzionamento dovuti al Led e non per
cause esterne. Per tale motivo, pur dichiarando il prodotto a Led esente da manutenzione, si può
occasionalmente presentare la necessità di una riparazione con la sostituzione del Led fallito. In tal
caso la garanzia opera unicamente, salvo gli accertamenti del caso, entro due anni dalla vendita del
prodotto, mettendo a disposizione del cliente un prodotto nuovo equivalente o provvedendone alla
riparazione, con l'esclusione di qualsiasi ulteriore richiesta di risarcimento per spese di sostituzione,
installazione, trasporto ecc.
the LEDs
The LED (Light Emitting Diodes) are built up by using some semiconductors capable to directly
convert electric current into light. They are sized a few millimetres only, therefore, they offer some
important structural advantages as, in many applications, they are a valid alternative to the traditional
light sources. Since 1970, when the LEDs were first implemented to industrial applications, some
decisive quality developments took place as far as the range and the lighting efficiency are concerned.
In particular during the latest five years, white-light and blue-light LEDs have been developed. The
LED consists of different layers of semi-conducting materials, which, properly polarized, emit a
monochrome light, unlike the incandescent lamps, which produces a continuous spectrum of light.
The colour of the LED's light depends of course on the material used, while its efficiency is bound to
the evolution of the product technologies. At present, over 55 lm/W are reached, depending on the
colour, while the efficiency is similar to the one of a standard sodium lamp, low-pressure, white-light.
Of course, as one LED has got only 0,1 power, or 1 or 3 watt in high-power models, in order to obtain
the same lighting intensity of a traditional lamp it's necessary the use of a lot of LEDs connected by
themselves and, considering the present price levels, the costs of such applications should be
inapplicable. To note, however, that, at present, tens of applications already justify the use of the
LEDs, which permits to get unique and low-expensive solutions. The highest brilliancy of the LEDs is
obtained through the use of a correct D.C. power supply, depending on the LED colour, which involves
the need for using special power supplies, recommended or suggested by the manufacturer of the
lighting device. A not-correct feeding causes almost always the breaking off of the LED in short times.
The LEDs, individually or in gang, permit, owing to their reduced dimensions, to design compact
apparatus, having small depth. The light, emitted to a certain direction, reduces the losses that are
usually caused by the reflector. For applications where the change in the light source results to be
expensive, difficult or dangerous, the long-life LED insures assured and significant cost-savings as to
the maintenance costs. The LED is exceptionally shock-proof and resistant to mechanical stresses,
so it is suitable for use in particularly heavy-duty environments as e.g. the flush-mounted apparatus for
floor paving, trading centres, airports, etc. Furthermore, the use of colour-light LEDs renders useless
the use of filters, which drastically reduce the efficiency of the lighting devices. The low power
consumption of the LEDs permits also the use of solar panels or batteries. Where the requirement is
for lighting of heat or UV-ray sensitive objects, the cold light of a LED, free from emission of infrared or
UV rays, is the optimum solution to the problem.
The LED modules consist of individual LEDs, integrated to other current control components, either
passive or active, usually mounted on proper rigid or flexible printed circuit boards, having shapes that
follow the creative mind of the designer. The construction of such modules assumes specific
knowledge of discrete components, electric, thermal and optical design. Owing to the availability of
white, red, blue, green, orange and yellow LEDs, as well as to their smallest thickness and exceptional
compactness and flexibility, some thin structures may be designed for fitting to warning signs or
orienting lighting lamps, easy to be entered to existing architectural frameworks.
For experience, during working there is a constant and permanent reduction of the luminous flux
called degradation of the light, caused by a reduction of the efficiency of light's generation. The
reduction is principally due to the materials by which the led is made, and it's higher during the first
hundreds working hours, while successively the decline occurs in a slowly way. Nearly all kinds of
LEDs (excepted the ones listed to the following point 4) have got a decline of at least a 15% during first
1000 or 2000 working hours. To be noted that the human eye is not sensible to the small changes
during light emission and it's necessary a reduction of about a 30-40% so that a substantial change is
perceived.
There is a lot of LEDs at present available on the market, but they could be easily divided in 4 principal
classes:
1) The 3 or 5 mm. LEDs, commonly knowed since a lot of time, with rather narrow lighting beam;
2) The Piranha-type LEDs, square-shaped, with light emitting with a quite-large lighting beam;
3) The SMD-type LEDs for using in subminiaturized circuits;
4) The LEDs with power range quite higher than the previous three categories.
The LEDs of the first two categories, closed in 3 or 5 mm. containers, on in square version, are
presently the most economical ones; they have got high mechanical features, are available in many
colours, and they reach luminous efficiencies that go from 1 to 5 lumen for watt, following the colour.
Their power is limited to 0,07-0,1 watt. The average hope life on this kind of LED, is depending from the
colour; while on the coloured LED the brightness is quite constant, for the white colour the brightness
declines already after the first 2000 working hours, and progressively declines reaching the 20% of the
beginning one, at about 20.000 working hours. As a general rule, almost all the makers consider to
establish an average life of about 10.000 hours for the white and about 30.000 hours for the coloured
ones, keeping as average life the point where the LED still gives at least a 40% of the beginning
lighting.
The LEDs of the third category, prevalently used in miniaturized circuits, are available in a large range
of performances, having an efficiency that gives from a minimum of 1 lumen for watt to a maximum of 6
lumen for watt and with unitary powers from 0,05W to 0,3W. In this category could be found LEDs with
an expectation of life that goes from 30 to 40.000 hours also for the white colour.
In the fourth category there are LEDs that we will master deeply because they are representing what
could be the future of this sector, applied to lighting. This kind of LED, and specifically the ones
produced by Luxeon have got a typical power 1W, but are on test also 3 and 5W power on each
single led. We dwell upon the 1W led that presently reachs a lighting efficiency of 60 lumen.
The luxeon LEDs are made in a particular way, that allows the most high luminous flux between the
ones available on the market, and the capsuling technology in silicone rather than in epoxy
guarantees a longer time stability. For those reasons the average life of the luxeon LEDs, with a
correct use, is estimated more than 50.000 hours (meaning that at 50.000 hours the LEDs is still able
to guarantee about the 70% of the beginning lighting, independently from the colour).
Unlike the other kinds of LEDs, the Luxeon LED is made in a way that the produced heating should be
dissipated at its external, creating the premise for a decline lower than the efficiency; so it's normal
that an equipment, correctly planned with Luxeon LEDs, could having a certain heating, exploding
the myth of the cold LED. The Luxeon LED light is surely and in any case a cold light, because the
heating is correctly swallowed through the structure of the lighting equipment.
The faulty rate (as for each electronic component) understood as the breaking percentage of the
LEDs for working time unit, could be shared in three parts, and among them the beginning one,

The
second part represents the usual working period, during which the breaking percentage is very low
and practically constant. The third part represents the end of the useful life of the LED, during which
the probability that the equipment stops working should be higher.
To sum up, following the tests done by Luxeon, we could suppose a breaking percentage of about 1
LED every 10.000 units within first 10.000 working hours, and 5 LEDs every 10.000 units in following
40.000 hours. Then the percentage should be kept as constant, so we cannot exclude that more than
the 99% of the LEDs reach the level of the 100.000 working hours. It's unimaginable to believe to
introduce concept of longer durations, also if supposed by Luxeon, because surely will arrive before
the age limits of other components of the complete lighting equipment, caused by the usury, the
atmospheric agents and by tens of other causes not easily determinables, if it's considered that
100.000 hours of night-working means a total of about 20 years.
As regarding tolerances on chromatism or on colour's temperature, it must be considered that they
are depending from several factors so, also operating a selection on LEDs, the constructors
guarantee the relative values at the internal of a range established from an adequate compromise
between quality and price. As regarding Luxeon LEDs, the colour temperature of the white LEDs in
warm tonality is included between 2850 and 3800°K, in cool tonality is included between 4500 and
8000°K. The established values of wave's lenght for the coloured LEDs are the following: from 520 to
550 nm for the Green, from 490 to 520 nm for the Cyan, from 440 to 490 nm for the Blue, from 620 to
645 nm for the Red and from 585 to 597 nm for the Amber.
Tector, when necessary and if economically convenient, could operate a further selection both in
colour temperature both in wave's lenght, in order to standardize the tonality of light of several
devices working in an only one installation. So they are not covered from replacement guarantee a
device or several devices that have got a chromatic shifting in comparison with the minimum and
maximum values declared by Luxeon, except that the tolerance range should not be expressly
agreed at the moment of the order.
As integration of the normal guarantee conditions foreseen by law or indicated on our sales
documents, we point out that, by the light of what listed above, in spite of the valuable characteristics
of LEDs, could not be excluded at 100% the possibility of damages during the working, caused by the

any intervention on the existing electric plant.
GRETA, works simply at 12 Volt (both in alternating current than in direct current) supplied by the
existing transformers of the electric installation.
In case of utilization of electronic transformers and considering that this kind of transformer need
a minimum load to work, it could be verified the not-working of the transformer, because each
single LED bulb is only a 3 W consumption.

The driver is the principal command unit, simple to use, for all (RGB) FULL COLOUR light fittings. It is the interface of the system and allows
the light fitting connected to it to function in an independent manner (by selecting the internal switches) or gives it the possibility to be managed
by a peripheral control unit (digital controller). Once the connections have been made, by feeding power to the driver without any intervention
whatsover on the internal switches, the light fitting will light up in a cyclic mode (AUTOTEST). It is possible to activate a range of software
pre-memorised functions by simply connecting a push button and operating on it.

it can control up to three separate fittings or three different sets of fittings with the possibility to memorise different scenes in order to have a
better management of the fascinating light effects. The DMX control console also has an audio entry that it can be connected to a CD or MP3
reader, a walkman, a MP3 memory key or a MIXER so as to run the scene rotation in time with music.

L' articolo BLOCK è un apparecchio di segnalazione in grado di trasformare la normale pavimentazione in
pietra o in porfido, in un percorso di luce. La sorgente luminosa a luce fredda e non invasiva è in grado di
creare effetti scenografici e spazi virtuali grazie anche alle varie colorazioni disponibili.
L'apparecchio è realizzato in policarbonato e in resina, simula un blocchetto di porfido per pavimentazione
ed è adattabile sia in interni che in esterni in innumerevoli altre applicazioni, come ad esempio all'interno di
un muro o di una colonna, nella cornice di un manufatto in pietra o in altro materiale di costruzione, sul
bordo di una piscina, od anche all'interno di vasche o fontane per un illuminazione dell'acqua circostante.
La superficie a vista si presenta ruvida e semitrasparente, affinchè sia antisdrucciolo e non provochi
abbagliamento. Nel corpo del prodotto è alloggiata una sorgente luminosa con un superLED, con un fascio
di circa 100° , per cui l'emissione di calore è irrilevante. L'apparecchio è indicato per tutte le numerose
applicazioni luminose e decorative sia in interni che in esterni, per dare un nuovo significato allo spazio
classico, senza pregiudicarne l'eleganza e l'estetica.
Se correttamente inserito e adeguatamente fissato in una pavimentazione con uno stabile e robusto

The article BLOCK is a signaling instrument, able to transform the normal flooring in stone or in porphyry, in
a run of light. The bright source with cold and not invasive light it is able to create scenographic effects and
virtual spaces thanks also to the various available colours. The instrument is realized in polycarbonate and
in resin and it simulates a small porphyry block for flooring. It could be used both in indoors than in outdoors,
in a lot of appliances as for instance inside a wall or of a column, in the frame of a manufactured article in
stone or in other building materials, on the edge of a swimming pool, etc. The surface introduces him as
rough and semi-transparent, so that is anti-skid and it doesn't provoke dazzle. In the body of the product a
bright source is lodged a superLED with a bundle of around 100°, so the issue of heat is insignificant. The
instrument is suitable for numerous bright and decorative appliances both in indoors that in outdoors, to
give a new meaning to the classical space, without prejudice for elegance and aesthetics. If correctly
inserted and adequately fixed in a flooring with a stable and strong foundation, the spot is carriageways
without problems and being realized in an only block of material, it bears the passage of any type of vehicle
with pneumatics. Obviously must take in consideration the certain waste which the plastic surface can be
