MINISTRY ONGOING NEWS
Ministers of the Eucharist
We call upon those who participated on February 19th, 2014
in the preparation seminar for the Ministers of the Eucharist
to come in the sacristy 15 minutes before each Mass in the
weekend of June 14/15. Congratulations to the following
ministers:

SHARELIFE - WORKING WONDERS FOR
PEOPLE LOCALLY AND AROUND THE WORLD
Thank You to everyone who contributed to the 2014
ShareLife Parish Campaign. You have made the path to
new opportunities much easier for thousands of the most
vulnerable in our communities by giving generously. For
those who wish to make a contribution, you can still drop your
ShareLife envelopes in the offertory basket until July 31,
2014. To date our parish has collected a total of $7,112. This
year’s goal was set at $14,000.
SVDP MARYGROVE CAMP /CAMPEGGIO
The Society of St Vincent de Paul, Toronto Council, helps
over 1,000 girls each summer, registering eligible campers
through home visits. Marygrove Camp is a residential camp
situated on Georgian Bay, Ontario. The camp is open to
eligible girls, ages 5 – 13, and provides an 8-day camping
experience these children who may not otherwise have the
opportunity to enjoy a camping adventure.
Families experiencing financial or domestic hardship may
contact the Society to determine their eligibility.
Today is the Marygrove Camp collection.

Il Consiglio di Toronto della Società di San Vincenzo de’
Paoli assiste ad oltre 1,000 bambine ogni estate,effettuando,
tramite visite domiciliari, l’iscrizione di campeggiatrici
ammissibili. Il Marygrove Camp è un campeggio
residenziale situato sul Georgian Bay, Ontario. Il campeggio
è destinato a bambine con i requisiti necessari, di età
compresa tra i 5 ed i 13 anni e mira ad offrire l’esperienza del
campeggio per otto giorni a bambine che altrimenti non
avrebbero l’opportunità di vivere l’avventura del campeggio.
Famiglie colpite da disagi economici e sociali sono invitati a
contattare la Società di San Vincenzo de’ Paoli per valutare
la loro ammissibilità.
Oggi prendiamo la collezione per il Marygrove Camp. La
vostra consueta generosità è molto apprezzata.

following the 11:30 Mass.

There is a promise of marriage between Francesco Metallo
and Veronica Melo, and Samir Chahine and Angela
Martins getting married on Sat June 21st, 2014. Please
remember to pray for these couples and all other
couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage at St
Francis.

St Anthony’s feast day this
year falls on Friday June 13th.
Next Sunday June 15th which
also happens to be Father’s
Day, we will be honouring St
Anthony, a beloved Franciscan
saint fondly known as “il Santo”
in Italy, and the patron saint of
lost and stolen articles! The
community of St Francis is
welcomed to donate loaves of
bread which will then be
distributed to the parishioners.
Anyone who wishes to
donate bread is welcome to do so, please advise the parish
office so that we can plan for the 8 am morning Mass on
Friday and the 5 pm Mass on Saturday. Any monetary
donations to St Anthony will be forwarded to St Francis
Table to help feed the poor.
Il giorno della festa di S. Antonio quest'anno cade il venerdì
13 giugno. Domenica prossima 15 giugno, che avviene
anche la festa del papà, onoriamo S. Antonio, un santo
francescano amato affettuosamente e conosciuto come "Il
Santo" e anche il santo patrono di articoli smarriti o rubati! La
comunità di San Francesco è invitata a donare pagnotte che
poi verranno distribuiti ai parrocchiani. Chi vuole donare il
pane è invitato a farlo – stiamo pensando per il venerdì 13
giugno e sabato 14/6 alla Messa delle 5 pm. Si prega di
avvisare l'ufficio parrocchiale. Le offerte di denaro ricevuti
in onore di sant’Antonio vanno inoltrate a St Francis
Table per alimentare i poveri.
PELLEGRINAGGIO AL SANTUARIO DEI MARTIRI
La Commissione Pastorale Italiana organizza per il 2014 il
seguente pellegrinaggio per tutte le parrocchie con comunità
italiana:
Al Santuario dei Martiri di Midland, DOM 29 GIUGNO
Programma:
ore 10:30 am – Processione con la statua della Santa
Famiglia dalla sua cappella sulla collina all’altare, seguita
dalla solenne Santa Messa
ore 2:30 pm – Adorazione del Santissimo Sacramento
seguita dalla processione sulla collina e cerimonia di
chiusura.

festival from June 13-15. You will be able to enjoy food
sampling from the local restaurants, street entertainment and
