Alimentazione
Il display LCD contiene le batterie ricaricabili. L’indicatore di batteria scarica compare a display quando
la carica della batteria è insufficiente per il funzionamento della bilancia.
Ricarica delle batterie
Inserire il carica batterie AC nella presa sul fianco del display LCD per ricaricare le batterie. Il tempo
necessario per la ricarica è di circa 14 ore. Una ricarica completa fornisce un tempo di lavoro continuo
di circa otto ore.
Attenzione! Collegare il carica batterie AC alla bilancia sempre prima di collegarlo alla
presa di alimentazione. Viceversa scollegarlo prima dall’alimentazione e poi dalla bilancia.
Trasformatore AC (carica batterie)
La bilancia oltre che con le batterie ricaricabili può essere alimentata anche con un trasformatore AC
da 12V 500mA.
Interruttore ON/OFF (sulla sinistra del display)
Per accendere e spegnere la bilancia premere il pulsante rosso sulla sinistra del display.
Può inoltre essere regolato o addirittura disabilitato (off) il tempo di spegnimento automatico.
Per regolare i secondi di stand-by prima dello spegnimento automatico o per disattivare lo spegnimento
stesso, seguire la procedura di Tavola 1 e al primo step entrare nella funzione di regolazione premendo
TARE e modificare il tempo secondo il ciclo descritto dallo schema seguente premendo HOLD.

Procedura di calibrazione
Per effettuare la calibrazione si deve preventivamente entrare nel menù di funzione (vedi Tavola 1) ed
impostare nel campo “Cal” il peso di calibrazione.
Successivamente, entrare nel menù di calibrazione per effettuare la stessa come segue:
- Tenendo premuti ZERO e UNITS, premere il pulsante ON/OFF, appare a display la scritta “CALu”,
rilasciare quindi i pulsanti.
- Premere il pulsante UNITS per selezionare l’unità di misura per il peso: kg o lb
- Premere il pulsante ZERO ed appare a display un valore.
- Senza carichi sulla bilancia, premere il pulsante ZERO ed attendere che appaia a display la scritta
“SAVE”.
- Caricare il peso di calibrazione uguale a quello impostato nel menù di funzione. (Vedi tavola 1)
- Premere il pulsante ZERO per calibrare sul peso scelto.
- Il display mostra la scritta “SAVE” e successivamente il valore impostato.
- La calibrazione è terminata, premere il pulsante ON/OFF e spegnere la bilancia.

Tavola funzioni
Tenendo premuti TARE e UNITS, premere il pulsante ON/OFF, appare a display la scritta “SET”.
Utilizzare il tasto UNITS per scegliere la funzione desiderata e per uscirne.
Utilizzare il tasto TARE per entrare nella funzione e per muoversi nei diversi campi della stessa (ad
esempio per spostarsi da una cifra all’altra).
Utilizzare il tasto HOLD per cambiare i valori all’interno delle varie funzioni.

Tasti funzione
1. ZERO:
Questo tasto ha la funzione di azzeramento se il carico è inferiore al 4% della portata totale o ha valore
negativo.
2. UNITS:
A. Per selezionare l’unità di misura per il peso tra KG, LB o OZ
B. Quando si accende la bilancia rimane impostata l’unità di misura utilizzata l’ultima volta.
3. TARE:
A. Premere il tasto quando è presente un carico sulla bilancia per far azzerare il valore.
B. Posizionare un contenitore o oggetto affine sulla bilancia, premere questo tasto per impostare la tara
che a questo punto viene memorizzata.
4. HOLD:
A. Premere questo tasto per memorizzare il peso.
B. Premere nuovamente il tasto HOLD per uscire dalla funzione di memorizzazione.
Se si desidera anche tarare il peso, premere il tasto TARE per uscire.

Se viene posto sulla bilancia un contenitore vuoto il suo peso può essere ignorato azzerando il display.
Per azzerare il display, premere il tasto TARE. A questo punto quando si va a posizionare qualcosa nel
contenitore la bilancia tiene conto del solo peso della cosa aggiunta.

Sicurezza
- La bilancia è dotata di un display a cristalli liquidi. Se dovesse rompersi e il liquido fuoriuscisse
dall’LCD, non toccarlo poiché se ingerito è tossico.
- La piattaforma di carico è stata studiata per poter essere pulita facilmente.
- La bilancia non è progettata contro le esplosioni. Non utilizzarla in luoghi dove siano presenti gas
infiammabili o fumi esplosivi poiché si potrebbero verificare incendi o esplosioni.
- Non utilizzare la bilancia se da essa fuoriesce fumo od odore di bruciato. Scollegare immediatamente.
Dopo essersi assicurati che non si sono verificati problemi ingenti consultare il rivenditore. Non cercare
mai di riparare la bilancia da soli.
- Se la bilancia è sporca, pulirla con un panno morbido. Per le macchie ostinate, applicare poco detergente
neutro e strofinare con un panno asciutto. Non utilizzare solventi, benzina, o agenti chimici poichè essi
possono causare la deformazione, lo scolorimento o il deterioramento della bilancia.
- La bilancia è uno strumento di misura sensibile, evitare ogni tipo di urto. Se si fa cadere qualcosa
sulla bilancia, si fa cadere essa stessa o si cammina bruscamente sulla piattaforma, la bilancia potrebbe
essere danneggiata e perdere la sua precisione.
- Non premere l’indicatore o i pulsanti con oggetti appuntiti poiché si potrebbero rompere o bucare i
pulsanti stessi.

Funzionamento efficiente della bilancia
- Posizionare la bilancia su una superficie stabile e piana che possa supportare la bilancia stessa e il
carico che si vuole pesare. Assicurarsi inoltre che sotto di essa non siano presenti oggetti che ne possano
pregiudicare la stabilità.
- La temperatura a cui operare con la bilancia è tra i 5 °C e i 35 °C.
- Non smontare o modificare la bilancia altrimenti si perde il diritto alla garanzia. Bilance modificate
sono illegali e non possono essere messe in commercio.
GARANZIA
Ci congratuliamo con Voi per aver acquistato un nostro prodotto.
Questo prodotto risponde ai criteri più esigenti di selezione dei materiali di qualità di fabbricazione e di
controllo finale. La garanzia è valida per il tempo di 12 mesi dalla data di fornitura GIMA.
Durante il periodo di validità della garanzia si provvederà alla riparazione e/o sostituzione gratuita di
tutte le parti difettose per cause di fabbricazione ben accertate, con esclusione delle spese di mano
d’opera, trasferta, spese di trasporto, di imballaggio, ecc. Sono quindi esclusi dalla garanzia i componenti
soggetti ad usura come le parti in caucciù o PVC ed altri ancora. Nessun risarcimento potrà essere
richiesto per il fermo dell’apparecchiatura. Inoltre la sostituzione o riparazione effettuata durante il
periodo della garanzia non hanno l’effetto di prolungare la durata della garanzia.
La garanzia non è valida in caso di: riparazione effettuata da personale non autorizzato o
con pezzi di ricambio non omologati da GIMA, avarie o vizi causati da negligenza, botte,
uso anormale dell’apparecchio o errori di installazione.
La garanzia decade se il numero di matricola risulti asportato, cancellato o alterato.
I prodotti ritenuti difettosi devono essere resi solo e soltanto al rivenditore presso il quale è avvenuto
l’acquisto. Spedizioni a noi inviate direttamente verranno respinte.

Power supply
The indicator head contains six metal hydride re-chargeable batteries. The low battery indicator displayed
when the battery power is insufficient to power the scale.
Recharging the batteries
Insert the AC re-charger adapter into the socket on the indicator head to recharge the batteries. Recharging
time is approximately 14 hours. Fully charged batteries should give approximately eight hours of
continuous use.
Caution! Always connect the AC adaptor to the indicator head before connecting to the
mains power supply. Disconnect from the mains power supply before disconnecting the
adaptor from the indicator head.

The scale uses re-chargeble battery pack or 12V 500mA AC adaptor.

Press the red key to on/off the scale.
The automatic turn-off time can be set (seconds delay until turn off) or disabled (off)

The procedure for calibration
1. Press ZERO and UNITS first, then press ON/OFF switch, the display "CALu", then release ZERO
key.
2. Press UNIT key to select weight unit: kg or lb.
3. Press ZERO key and display shows AD value.
4. Press ZERO key, waiting for the display "CALIBRATION WEIGHT".
5. Load the calibration weight. (note: please see table 1)
6. Press ZERO key to start calibrating.
7. The display shows "SAVE" and then shows AD value.
8. The calibration is finished, press ON/OFF switch, shutt off the scale.

Key functions
1. ZERO:
This key is "Zero" feature if load is below 4% of full capacity or a negative value.
2. UNITS:
A. Select weight units: KG, LB o OZ
B. The next time of powering-on will be showed the last using weighting units.
3. TARE:
A. When there's a load on the scale, press this key to return to zero.
B. Put a container on the scale, press this key to tare the weight, and the tarred value is stored.
4. HOLD:
A. Press this key to store weight value.
B. To release hold feature, press the HOLD key again.
To release hold feature and tare the weight, press the TARE key.

If an empty container is used the weight can be ignored by zeroing the display. To zero the display,
press the TARE key. Then when material is placed in container only the weight of the material will be
shown.

Safe description
- The scale uses a liquid crystal display. If the LCD breaks and the liquid leaks from the LCD, don't
touch it. The liquid is toxic if ingested.
- The platform is designed for easy clean-up.
- The scale isn't an explosion proof model. Don't use the scale in an atmosphere containing flammable
gases or explosive fumes. A fire or an explosion can result.
- Do not operate the scale if there is smoke or a burnt smell coming from the scale. Remove the AC
adaptor immediately. After making sure that there is no danger, consult your dealer. Never try to repair
the scale by yourself.
- If the scale becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, apply a little neutral detergent
and then wipe the scale with a soft cloth. Don't use thinner, benzene, or chemical agents, all of which
can cause deformation, discoloration, or deterioration of the scale.
- The scale is a sensitive weighting instrument, avoid physical shocks. If you drop something on the
scale, step on the platform, or drop it, the scale may be damaged and lose accuracy.
- Don't push the indicator or keys with sharp objects. They may break or puncture the switch membrane
panel.

To keep the scale working efficiently
- Place the scale on a flat surface that will support the scale and the load.
- The operating temperature range is from 5°C to 35°C.
- Don't disassemble or modify the scale, you will void the warranty. Modified scales will not be legal
for trade.
GUARANTEE
Thank you for having acquired our product. This product meets the most stringent requirements regarding
the selection of quality manufacturing materials and also the final control. The product has a 12month warranty, valid from the date it is delivered by GIMA.
During the guarantee period free repair and/or replacement of any defective parts due to faulty
manufacture will be given, labour, postal, transport and packaging charges etc. are not included. The
guarantee therefore excludes components subject to wear and tear such as parts in rubber or PVC, etc.
No compensation will be given for loss of use of the product.
Furthermore replacement or repairs effected during the guarantee period do not lengthen the duration
of the guarantee.
This guarantee is void in the event of: repairs effected by unauthorised persons or with
spare parts not approved by GIMA, damage or defects caused by negligence, blows,
abnormal use of the appliance or faulty installation.
The guarantee will be invalidated if the registration number has been removed, cancelled or altered.
Faulty appliances must be returned only to the retailer where the item was bought. Any item dispatched
directly to us will be refused.

The users must dispose of this equipment by bringing it to a specific recycling point
for electric and electronic equipment.

recycling center or the shop where the product was purchased. If the equipment is
not disposed of correctly, fines or penalties may be applied in accordance with the
national legislation and regulations.
