The AKU® asymmetrical closure
system has been designed to reduce
the pressure of extra material and stitching
on sensitive areas of the foot. Unlike other boots,

The HIKING category is dominated by the use of the IMS tecnology, where
the lasting process is reversed by putting the hard mounting board under
the EVA midsole. This allows the foot morphology to be copied into the
comfortable EVA layer, unlike standard hiking shoes where a hard unyielding
surface is typically used. This construction significantly decreases foot
movement thus eliminating friction and abrasion.
These features guarantee an even more lightweight and comfortable fit
without compromising performance.

La principale particolarità di questo tessuto, coperto da brevetto
internazionale, è quella di consentire la massima traspirazione del
piede. Un piede ben aerato è decisamente meno soggetto a micosi,
ad infiammazioni cutanee e a dolorose vesciche. Da approfondite prove di
laboratorio è emerso che AKU-AIR 8000® consente una traspirazione nell’arco di 24
ore di ben 8021 grammi di vapore acqueo, mentre un tessuto tradizionale nello
stesso lasso di tempo, permette la traspirazione di soli 700 grammi.
AKU-AIR 8000® is a fabric used in the construction of the uppers. This material is
protected by an international patent and it has been specially designed to guarantee
perfect breathability. A high, breathable performance level is very important for the health
of the foot. If a foot is well aerated, it is not attacked by micosis, skin infiammation and
painful blisters. It is demonstrated by accurate laboratory tests that, over a period of 24
hours, AKU-AIR 8000® transpires 8021 grammes of vapour, while in other traditional
fabrics, the transpiration is of 700 grammes only in the time (24 hours).

light, breathable upper, which includes the
AKU AIR 8000® patent with Gore-Tex® and

Cura e manutenzione
Tutta la cura posta nella selezione e lavorazione
dei pellami e dei materiali tecnici può essere
vanificata se noi non sottoponiamo le scarpe
a regolare trattamento di manutenzione e
mantenimento. Si consiglia così di effettuare
periodicamente, a seconda ovviamente della
frequenza d’uso, le seguenti operazioni di cura
per mantenere la calzatura in perfetta
efficienza e bellezza.

Lasciare asciugare bene le calzature
all’aria aperta, lontano dalla luce diretta
e da fonti di calore.
Leave the footwear to dry naturally,
away from direct light or heat sources.

Per calzature con tomaia (in scamosciato
nubuck, crosta, rovesciati), spazzolare
con spazzola a setole rigide per
ripristinare l’effetto nabucato scrivente.
Per calzature in pelle liscia (termine
comunemente usato per definire pelle
“pieno fiore” full grain), ingrassante,
pull-up o nubuck ingrassato,
procedere all’applicazione a spugna in
buona quantità della crema protettiva
impermeabilizzante AKU CARE, per
ammorbidire, proteggere e rinnovare.
Su scarpe molto secche o rovinate
procedere eventualmente ad una
ulteriore applicazione.
For suede footwear (nubuck, split,
velour) brush with a hard brush to bring
back the velvet writing effect.
For smooth leather (a common term
used in defining full grain leathers),
fatliquored and pull-up fatliquored
nubuck leathers, apply a good quantity
of the waterproofing protective cream
AKU CARE to soften, protect and
renew the leaterh. An additional
application may be necessary on very
dry or damaged shoes.

Per ammorbidire a rendere
idrorepellente il vostro paio di scarpe,
applicate con il dosatore spray
il finish AKUABLOC e lasciare
asciugare per 20 minuti.
Apply the waterproofing AKUABLOC
by spray in one or more coats.
Leave to dry naturally for about 20
minutes. Once dry, passing over
the leather with a cotton or woollen
cloth, or soft brush, it is possible
to have a light re-polishing and a more
finished appearance.
Shoe care and mainteinance
It is good to consider that footwear is
an investment that we should benefit
from for as long as possible.
Neglecting or not taking regular care
of footwear dispels all the
craftsmanship in making the
footwear, the working of the leather
and technical material.
Therefore, according to the frequency
of use, it is advisable to carry
out the following
operations to care
for and maintain
footwear, thus
preserving the
beauty and
efficiency of such.
Eliminare preventivamente eventuale
terra, fango, polvere ecc... con spazzola
a setole medio/dure e risciacquare
accuratamente con acqua corrente.
Promptly remove dirt, mud, dust etc
with a medium hard bristle brush
and carefully rinse with running water.
