The ICX infrared camera goes to show that a high-quality infrared camera
can have a variety of functions and still be extremely easy to use.
The high-resolution 640 x 480-infrared image detector has over 307,200 autarkic individual
temperature measuring points and provides fully-radiometric thermal images in the fine
detail and with the finest of temperature differences.
The ICX640P is not only able to
provide you with individual infrared
images, but also MPEG 4 videos
which can be transferred directly to
an SD card (non-radiometric) or as
a fully-radiometric IR video which
can be transferred to your PC where
it can be recorded in real-time and
analysed. The camera’s ingenious
control unit is equipped with a 5inch pivotable display and has

camera body. The control unit can be easily
detached from the main housing in order to
enable you to carry out inspections on remote
or hard to reach places, eg. shafts.
The high-resolution LCD viewfinder has dioptre
compensation and is especially useful when it
comes to working in the field.
The LCD viewfinder has 800 x 480 pixels and
because it is tiltable it allows you to see even
the smallest of details, free of glare, even in
bright sunlight.
Both ICX infrared cameras are able to measure
temperatures up to +600 °C and – due to their
very high thermal sensitivity – also able to make
temperature differences of as little as 0.05 °C
(50 mK) visible.
The ICX640S/P is equipped with an integrated DuoVision function which allows the user to
display either an infrared image, or a real image, or a combination of the two in different
overlapping stages. This special feature not only makes it easier to detect any defects or
damage, it also makes it easier to match the information from both images.
The software included in the scope
of delivery contains the DuoVision
function as described above and
allows you to overlap image
information for improved analysis
and assessment.
The ICX640P‘s IR video function,
with which fully-radiometric infrared
videos can be transferred to a PC in
sync with a measurement where
they can be recorded and evaluated in real-time using special software, provides the user
with an ideal means of analysis, for example for a detailled examination of the heating and
cooling behaviour of electronic and mechanical components or other objects over a
defined period.
