2. I contatti della AK5343 e AK5350 sono da 5A, quelli della DE80 sono da 1A, nel caso servisse più corrente usare i contatti 3, 3P, 3S, N, NC, NA eventualmente liberi della DE80. 3. I contatti A, AP, AS, B, BP, BS sono da 5 A max. 4. 8. It is highly recommended that you read it carefully before installing and using this product. CONVENTIONAL SYMBOLS The following symbols are used throughout the manual to draw your attention on information of special importance for the correct operation. This operation is very important for the correct functioning of the system; read the note carefully, and follow it as described. The note refers to useful suggestions, restrictions and indications on how to avoid minor problems and use this product in the best possible way. CONTENTS - • Call from the main group: The secondary group of the called riser will be engaged; the other possible secondary groups are free, while other possible main groups are engaged. • Call from the secondary group: The main groups are engaged only if they want to call the tenants of the already engaged riser, while other possible secondary groups are free. • Monostable service: At the end of a certain time (adjustable during the installation) the “engaged” is removed from the DE 80 (as well as from other possible DE80) and the tenants are again connected to the possible main group. • Bistable service: At the end of a certain time (adjustable during the installation) the “engaged” is removed from the DE 80 (as well as from other possible DE80) and the tenants are again connected to the last group that called them. • Engaged service: During the timer time (adjustable during the installation) DE80 stops any call that might interfere with the conversation under way, leaving the other possible communications free (selection is done by groups of tenants, that usually represent the risers). If a tenant is talking the group of tenants he belongs to is busy, while the other groups are free to talk and proper indications will appear to advise the visitor of the system’s status. • Service for reset and end of communication time: it avoids eliminating dead times after a call. When picking up the handset the timer is re-charged thereby allowing the tenant to fully use the conversation time set during the installation. When hanging up the handset, the available time ends a few instants thereafter, thus releasing the system from the “engaged”. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION TECHNICAL FEATURES FUNCTIONS/SERVICES DESCRIPTION OF TERMINALS, PM JUMPER, ADJUSTMENT OF “TIMER” TRIMMER TERMINALS EQUIVALENCE TABLE BASIC DIAGRAMS NOTE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION DE80 is a switching device allowing the connection of several entrances in one only system; it is housed in a 6module plastic box for DIN-rail mounting (Fig. 1). DE80 can be used with all audio and video panels requiring a switching device; therefore, complex installations are possible by installing one or more DE 80 units. DE80 can also be used as a replacement for existing relay boxes of following models: DE55 (AK 7521), AK5350 and AK5343. For more details, please refer to the terminals correspondence chart at the last chapter of this manual . DESCRIPTION OF TERMINALS, PM JUMPER, ADJUSTMENT OF “TIMER” TRIMMER • 1, 2, 3, N, 9, 1p, 2p, 3p, Nc, 9p, 1s, 2s, 3s, Na, 9s exchange terminals: 1, 2, 3, N, 9 are the central contacts; 1p, 2p, 3p, Nc, 9p, are the rest contacts; 1s, 2s, 3s, Na, 9s, are the working contacts. When DE 80 receives either a call from the main channel or a reset signal it places the relays on rest contacts (main contacts); if, on the contrary, the call arrives from the secondary channel, it places the relays on the working contacts (secondary contacts). For the details refer to the equivalence table, since the contacts do not have the same current capacity. • Pa, Pb, Sa, Sb, OCp, Ocs engaged services terminals Terminals Pa, Pb, et Sa, Sb, are used to interrupt the buttons common in the main and secondary panels, respectively. In rest, both contacts are closed, so the call is possible from each panel. After a call from the main panel, Sa, Sb contact is opened for the pre-set timer time, blocking calls from the other panel and thus supplying the engaged service. In the same way Pa, Pb contact will open if the call comes from the secondary entrance. The engaged service can be visually indicated by means of terminals OCp and OCs. After a call OCp or OCs are closed to ground to drive the engaged lamp, that will remain on for the pre-set timer time. If the call comes from the secondary channel the lamp connected to terminal Ocp will light up; if, however, the call comes from the primary channel, the lamp connected to Ocs terminal will light up. For further details refer to the related diagrams or to Bitron Video technical assistance dept. N.I. 175555 ed.11 8 - • Xp, CDp, Xs, CDs terminals for 1+1 speech Their functions are: if the relay box is in rest conditions Xp, CDp and Xs CDs are open. When a call arrives, let’s say to the secondary channel, terminals Xs and CDs are connected between them enabling the speech. The same thing happens with Xp and CDp if the call arrives from the main channel. At the end of the pre-set timer time terminals Xs, CDs and Xp, CDp will return to rest condition disconnecting the speech. • CHs, CHp, CP, CI, CS, CII, call detectors terminals CHs, CHp are voltage detectors to be connected only to 1+1 door phone groups or to 5-wire video groups. Terminal CHs is dedicated to the secondary channel, terminal CHp to the main one. Terminals CS, CII depend on a current detector for the secondary channel; the buttons common wire comes in and out of these two terminals. When a bell button is pressed the call current flows through this detector. An identical detector for the main channel depends on terminals CP, CI • T 4+1 speech detector terminal If terminal T is properly connected it detects position of door phones handset (hooked or unhooked): when unhooking the handset the timer is reset and when hooking it timer time ends. • R reset terminal After a call, terminal R gives a 12V voltage for the duration of the pre-set timer time; if, however, the DE80 receives a 12V voltage on terminal R, it sets on the rest contacts (main) and activates the engaged circuits for as long as voltage is present on R. • ~, 0, LP supply terminals Terminal 0 is the ground, terminal ~ is the supply input, terminal LP is the supply output for the engaged signalling lamps. • Timer adjustment The trimmer can be reached after installation by simply lifting the upper cover which opens rotating it as indicated in dwg. 2. The set time adjusts all timed functions that are: the reset signal present on terminal R, the engaged and the speech connection relays. Diagrams with engaged service require an adjustment of said time, which diagrams without engaged service require the trimmer to be at minimum and therefore completely rotated counterclockwise. • PM jumper PM jumper is accessible opening the cover as indicated in the dwg.2; if it is connected the DE 80 activates the monostable function; this means that at the end of the pre-set timer time, the contacts of the exchange relay are brought back to their main position. This function demands a timer time adjustment different from zero. If the PM jumper is not connected the DE80 is in bistable function; this means that at the end of the timer time the exchange relays remain where they are. The reset signal is only generated when the AK 5343 relay box is called by the main group; using the DE80 the signal is generated by both calls. 2. AK 5343-AK5350 contacts are at 5A, those of DE80 are at 1A; if more current is required use contacts 3, 3P, 3S, N, NC, NA of DE 80 if free. 3. Contacts A, AP, AS, B, BP, BS are at 5 A max. 4. When using a DE80 instead of a DE55 terminals OC and O are no longer available; their possible connection must therefore be ignored. 5. When using a DE80 instead of a DE55 connections to terminals APp and APs of DE55 must be ignored. 6. DE80 cannot replace AK 5343 in intercom systems using terminal 1SZ. 7. When using terminals OC, OCP, OCS in the DE55 for services different from engaged lamps, the equivalence is no longer valid. Terminals 9, 9S, 9P of DE80 can be used if free. 8. Wires previously connected to terminals US and/or UP of DE55 shall be connected to terminal 9 of DE80 9. Disconnect jumper PM of DE 80 [drw.3] and adjust the timer trimmer to minimum. DESCRIPTION DES BORNES, REGLAGE TEMPORISATEUR, PONTET PM • 1, 2, 3, N, 9, 1p, 2p, 3p, Nc, 9p, 1s, 2s, 3s, Na, 9s Bornes d’échange 1, 2, 3, N, 9 sont les contacts centraux, 1p, 2p, 3p, Nc, 9p, sont les contacts de repos, 1s, 2s, 3s, Na, 9s, sont les contacts de travail.
