Il percorso è dedicato all’Architettura di Leon Battista Alberti, un artista intellettuale che
codificò l’opera di Filippo Brunelleschi; il tour percorre i luoghi dove si trovano i principali
capolavori dell’architetto umanista: la splendida Facciata di Santa Maria Novella, il
Tempietto del Santo Sepolcro nell’ex Chiesa di San Pancrazio, oggi sede del Museo Marino
Marini, la facciata del Palazzo Rucellai e la Loggia Rucellai… l’elegante gusto per l’antico
rivive nell’Architettura di Leon Battista Alberti con precisione filologica e le decorazioni
marmoree sono un catalogo mistico di raffinatezza…
The path is dedicated to the Architecture of Leon Battista Alberti, an intellectual artist who
codified the scientific perspective of Filippo Brunelleschi; the tour goes through to places
where there are main masterpieces of the humanist architect in Florence: the magnificent
façade of Santa Maria Novella Church, the “Holy Sepulchre” in the deconsecrated Church
of San Pancrazio, now home of the Marino Marini Museum, the façade of Rucellai Palace
and the nearly Loggia… The elegant taste for antiquity revived in the philological precision
of the Architecture of Leon Battista Alberti and the marble decorations are a catalog of
mystical refinement…
