Leggete la descrizione di Waking Ned. In grassetto ci sono alcune delle parole chiave del

Alcuni abitanti di Tullymore (Tulhaigh Mhor) della Contea di More West, Irlanda,
comprano regolarmente i biglietti per la National Lottery. Quando Jackie O’Shea scopre
che un compaesano ha vinto il jackpot del weekend draw ed è molto eccitato all’idea
di poterne trarne vantaggio. Decide di trovare il compaesano che possiede il biglietto
vincente. Quando scopre che il proprietario del biglietto vincente, Ned Devine, è morto
per lo shock, Jackie escogita un piano to claim the prize, e con l’aiuto del suo amico
Michael O’Sullivan, cash the cheque per se stesso. C’è agitazione quando Jackie e
Michael vengono a sapere che alla settimana in cui Ned ha vinto c’è stato un rollover,
per cui l’ammontare del premio è maggiore rispetto a ciò che si aspettavano. Presto il
loro piano per la riscossione del premio coinvolge l’intero paese. Un film divertente, a
‘feel-good’ film, ricco di personaggi vivaci, ambientato in un bellissimo paesaggio. Tra
l’altro, anche se il film è ambientato in Irlanda, in realtà è stato filmato sull’Isola di Man*.
