You don’t know what you are missing! Get on the rose train!
Last time the Pinot Noir was all from
These are NOTHING like white zinfandel. These wines are
delicious and dry and pair well with many foods!
The Willamette Valley. Let’s explore a bit...
(Bin 601)
The best are from France with Provence leading the way.
2016 Château d’Anglès Classique Rosé
La Clape - Languedoc, FR $32 Bottle
Mourvèdre (80%), Syrah(10%), Grenache (10%)
(Bin 602)
California & Oregon vs. France
2015 DeLoach Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir
California $29
No blend mentioned.
Brilliant, “pink flamingo” colour. Intense and complex nose
of white flowers and fruits, citrus fruits and also small
fresh red berries aromas. Plentiful mouth with a long and
complex aromatic composition balanced by a mineral
freshness. Will definitely match all kinds of summer dishes
like salades and grills. Also excellent with asian cuisine,
red berries-based desserts, and all along your restless nights...
California AVA means the grapes can be sourced
from anywhere in CA.
Winemaker says: Our 2015 California Pinot Noir opens with
aromas of dark cherry and strawberry with a touch of delicate
baking spice. Bright and lifted flavors of strawberry pie and
a hunt of brown sugar lead to a soft, round mouthfeel
with medium body and a long, juicy finish.
2016 Chateau de Campuget 1753 Rosé
2014 Row 503 Pinot Noir
Costières de Nîmes, Rhone Valley, FR $34 bottle
Willamette Valley, OR - $36 Bottle
Syrah 90% Vermentino 10%
100% Pinot Noir
The terroir is characterized by an accumulation of pebbles by
the floods of the Rhone. It allows the vines to establish deep
roots to draw it all the elements they need to grow, while
enjoying the Mediterranean sunshine strong, vital to the
proper ripening of the grapes. A very sexy pale rose.
The nose is full of grapefruit and exotic fruits.
A delicate freshness offers a vibrant and delicate mouth
with hints of red fruits. It is perfect for summertime
meals around the pool, with fresh salads or ribs
at a barbecue on the beach.
Row 503 is the new Oregon Pinot Noir brand from
Dreyfus, Ashby & Veronique Drouhin.
The name reflects the area code for Northern Oregon, which
is home to the select Willamette Valley vineyards that produce
Row 503. Winemaker says: The 2014 Row 503 Pinot Noir has
forward notes of berry, dark fruits and spice. On the palate,
the wine has good weight and balance, with structure to
suggest continued enjoyment down the road.
2016 L’Esprit de Sainte-Marguerite Rosé
100% Pinot Noir
Provence, FR $36 Bottle
Grenache, Cinsault & Syrah
Certified Organic Wine - FR BIO 01. Vegan Friendly
Fruity and balanced. Round in the mouth an silky.
Keynote: Raspberry. This wine is ideal from aperitif to dessert.
This rosé wine will match with italian food, tomatoes,
hot and spicy dishes.
2013 Laforêt Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Beaune, Burgundy, FR $36
Grapes are selected from different vineyards from the Côte de
Beaune. They are hand-picked and then brought to the Drouhin
cellars on the outskirts of Beaune. Part of the wine is aged in
barrels, part in stainless steel tanks, so that the wine can acquire
more complexity and keep its fruitiness. Winemaker says:
“A wine full of charm: bright ruby color and a nose rich with
aromas of red fruit (raspberry, red currants, wild strawberry).
On the palate, the wine is pleasant, fruity and refreshing, with
light tannins and great elegance”. - Véronique Boss-Drouhin
