Nel percorso di riedizione dei progetti del maestro Enzo Mari, Danese
riscopre la collezione dei Vetri Murano, un prodotto espressione della
ricerca applicata del bello a cavallo tra arte e industria, tema filo
conduttore della produzione di Enzo Mari e della sua riflessione etica.
Enzo Mari affronta questo progetto basato sulla tecnica artigianale del
vetro soffiato con un approccio di ottimizzazione produttiva affinché la
bellezza e la qualità di un pezzo artigianale sia resa accessibile a tutti.
Definisce quattro forme di base, che corrispondono ad altrettanti
stampi, da cui vengono soffiati cinque diversi elementi che si
combinano tra loro nella composizione di vasi multipli.
Gli elementi di altezze e diametri differenti possono essere chiusi
sul fondo o passanti, sono infatti pensati per essere contenuti l’uno
nell’altro creando differenti versioni. Ogni abbinamento così ottenuto
ha un equilibrio compositivo del contenere non fisso ma adattabile
e trasformabile. Combina trasparenze e colorazioni leggere che
sovrapponendosi creano un armonia di toni delicata che esalta la
qualità del vetro ed esprime con eleganza la bellezza di un manufatto
artigianale.

In its new edition of projects by master Enzo Mari, Danese reintroduces
the Murano Glass collection, an expression of research applied to
beauty half-way between art and industry, which characterizes the
whole production and ethical thinking of Enzo Mari.
Enzo Mari addresses this project, based on a craft glass-blowing
technique, with a focus on optimized production, so that the beauty
and quality of craft items can be accessible to all. He defines four
basic shapes, corresponding to as many moulds, from which five
different elements are blown, combined with each other to create a
composition of multiple pots.
The elements have different heights and diameters and can have
closed or pass-through bottoms. They are, in fact, designed to
be contained into each other, thus creating different versions.
The non-fixed, but rather adjustable and transformable containing
function is well balanced in each combination. The object combines
transparencies and pale colours, overlapped to create delicate
harmonious shades that enhance glass quality and elegantly convey
the beauty of a craft product.
Nasce a Novara nel 1932. Sviluppa la sua formazione con gli studi
all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Milano, a cui accompagna già dagli anni
Cinquanta un’intensa attività artistica. Più recentemente la sua attività si
estende alla ricerca e progettazione per l’arredamento urbano e alla didattica
Enzo Mari was born in 1932 in Novara. Since the time of his studies at the
“Accademia delle Belle Arti” in Milan, he had an intensive artistic activity, with
personal and collective exhibitions in various museums of contemporary arts.
Recently his activity is extending to the research and to plannings for
urbanistic projects (Milan, project for “Piazza del Duomo) and to didactics
