General Information
The Conference will be held in the Main Building of the University of Messina (Piazza
Pugliatti).
During the Conference travel and Secretarial services will be available.
The desk of Registration will be open from 19:00 to 21:00 on October 4th in the local of the
Conference at the University. The Registration will continue on October 5th as detailed in the
Program of the Conference.
A person of the Travel Agency “Viaggi MonDany” (Corso Cavour n. 154, telephone 0903710934) will be present at the desk of the Conference for information and booking of
services.
How to reach Messina
From the Catania Airport :
On Sunday 4th October, the Organizing Committee will arrange a Bus (or Minibus) from the
Airport at about 18:00-18:30. A person with a poster indicating the title of the Conference
will be at the exit of the arrival area of passengers. We invite the participants at the
Conference to send promptly information on the arrivals at the Catania airport.
In any case, on Sunday, it is also possible to travel from the Catania Airport to Messina
(Central Station) by the Bus of the SAIS company by the following time-table:
8:45 , 10:40 , 14:40 , 16:40 , 17:10 , 19:10 , 20:30 .
The travel time is about 1 h and 50 minutes ; the cost of the ticket is 8,30 euro.
On Monday 5th (and also in other working days ) the time-table of SAIS bus is:
7:10 , 9:40 , 10:40 , 11:45 , 12:40 , 13:10 , 13:40 , 14:10 , 14:40 , 17:10 , 19:10 , 20:30 .
From the Reggio Calabria Airport :
The “Federico” company connects by minibus the Reggio Calabria Airport with the Area of
“Caronte & Tourist” boats at Villa San Giovanni. The cost of the ticket is 4,00 euro. The
“Caronte & Tourist” company connectes by boats the port of Villa S. Giovanni with
Messina. It is needed to buy the ticket (of 1,50 euro) at the desk of the “Caronte & Tourist”
at Villa San Giovanni.
For general and technical reasons, it is not possible to arrange a shuttle bus service from the
Reggio Calabria Airport to Messina, but it is needed to use the Federico Bus and the
“Caronte & Tourist” boat combination.

Hotel Accommodation
All participants were informed by email already sent from the Organizing
Committee on the hotel reservation. If it is needed to have any other information

Meals
During the lunch time it is possible to use the “Accusatio Trattoria” located at “via
Tommaso Cannizzaro n. 155/157” close the site of the Conference at University, available
for the participants of the Conference by a fixed menù at the cost of about 10-12 euro. The
lunch and/or the dinner at hotels is about 18-25 euro for a fixed menu.
Registration Fee
At the desk of the Conference the registration fee will be Euro 280,00 for a participant.
For an accompanying person it will be Euro 170,00.
The payment may be carried out by cash, travellers’ cheques or credit cards.
The registration fee also include the social events, coffee breaks, and a copy of proceedings
for each participant.
Social Events
The Welcoming Reception, combined with the Registration, will be held at the
Main Building of the University (Piazza Pugliatti), on October 04th at about 19:00
hrs.
The Conference Dinner will be held at the “Ristorante Paradise” (along the road
Giardini-Francavilla) on Wednesday October 07th, at about 19:30 hrs, after the
excursion at Taormina.
For participants (or accompanying persons) exempted from the registration fee, the
cost of the excursion and the Conference dinner is 50,00 euro per person.
Proceedings
Invited talks and oral presentations of contributed papers will be published by the World
Scientific in the International Journal of Modern Physics E , as a special issue .

Participants have to prepare a paper of 7 pages (for an oral presentation) or 12 pages (for
an invited talk) in style of the International Journal of Modern Physics E ( see guidelines of
the website http://www.worldscinet.com/ijmpe/mkt/guidelines.shtml) .
When participants will be at Messina for the Conference, they will have to give the text of
the article on an electronic support to the Organizer Committee.
Each paper will be submitted to a Referee for the reviewing process. Such a procedure is
explicitly requested by the World Scientific.
Therefore, if the paper will be accepted it will be send for the publication in International
Journal of Modern Physics E .

Weather Conditions
The weather is fine during the first part of October. There are sunny days with temperatures
between 20-27°C. Sometimes it is possible to have a transient perturbation with wind and
rain, but normally the weather is stable.
Map of Messina involving the sites of the Conference
In the following map are reported the Main Building of the University, the Hotel Sant’ Elia
and the Hotel Commercio (20 meters near Sant’ Elia), the Jolly Hotel, the “Accusatio
Trattoria”, the residence “La Residenza”.
The Residence of Papardo is located in the area of Science Faculty, about 12 km. distant
from the centre of town. It is possible to reach the Papardo Residence by bus (numbers 7879-80-81) .
