La società SAN GIORGIO S.E.I.N. è stata fondata nel 1960 e da
allora progetta e costruisce con passione sensori, strumenti e
sistemi di automazione per uso navale alla continua ricerca
delle più elevate prestazioni e standard di qualità. Negli anni
60 progettò la prima linea completa di strumenti elettronici
per uso navale (serie Viking ed Apollo) che comprendeva le
prime sonde di misura livello capacitive ed in tecnologia reed ,
le prime centraline di rilevamento temperatura gas di scarico
con termocoppie antishock ed i primi strumenti con display a
scarica di gas visibili in luce solare. Nel 1982, a seguito di una
joint-venture con la società Veglia Borletti iniziò la progettazione e la produzione di una nuova linea di strumenti e sensori
specificatamente progettati per il diporto e automotive professionale, di cui questo catalogo illustra l’evoluzione più diretta.
Negli anni 80 fu ancora pioniere nell’elettronica realizzando e
presentando, per prima al salone internazionale di Genova, un
sistema di monitoraggio e controllo basato con tecnologia a
microprocessore. Per ricercare sempre l’eccellenza tecnologica
dei propri prodotti la SAN GIORGIO S.E.I.N. si è dotata di un
avanzato centro studi che realizza tutte le fasi della progettazione elettronica e meccanica di ogni prodotto. Un laboratorio
di prove ambientali ed EMC interno ed un rigoroso sistema di
gestione per la qualità certificato ISO9001 garantiscono che
tutti gli strumenti siano controllati a mano singolarmente con
la stessa attenzione e passione di cinquanta anni fa. Attualmente la SAN GIORGIO S.E.I.N è partner e fornitore della maggior parte dei cantieri e costruttori di motori ed opera attivamente con oltre 1000 articoli di produzione nei settori diporto,
professionale e militare.
SAN GIORGIO S.E.I.N. has been founded in 1960 and since then
designs and manufactures with passion sensors, instruments
and automation systems for naval applications, always looking
for the most advanced performance and quality standards.
During 60’ designed the first complete electronic waterproof
naval instrument line (Viking and Apollo series) including the
first reed and capacitive level sensors and the first exhaust gas
temperature control unit with anti-shock thermocouple. In
1982, after a joint-venture with Veglia Borletti, SAN GIORGIO
started the manufacturing of a new line of gauges and sensors
specifically designed for yacht pleasure and professional automotive that this catalogue is presenting in its latest release. In
the 80’ again was pioneer presenting the first integrated microcontroller based monitoring system at the International
Boat Show of Genoa. To always aim at the technologic excellence of his products SAN GIORGIO is equipped with an advanced in-site research centre that develops the mechanical,
electronic and engineering design processes of each product.
An internal EMC / environment testing laboratory and a certified ISO9001 standard quality system work together to assure
that each instrument is manufactured and tested by hand with
the same passion and result as fifty years ago. Nowadays SAN
GIORGIO S.E.I.N. is partner and supplier of most shipyards and
engine manufacturers and works actively with over 1000 production articles in the yacht pleasure, professional and military
field.

Grazie alla sintesi di oltre dieci anni di esperienza con il protocollo CAN Bus® e con apprezzate tecniche proprietarie a microprocessore denominate “Direct Digital” la SAN GIORGIO
S.E.I.N. presenta una nuova ed avanzata serie di strumenti analogici compatibili con questo
potente protocollo. A differenza della concorrenza questi nuovi strumenti, disponibili nei
diametri standard 52mm e 85mm, possono essere direttamente collegati al segnale CAN
Bus® senza bisogno di uno strumento master o di un convertitore. Con soli due fili ed alimentazione è possibile portare il segnale di ogni funzione motore e servizi ovunque a bordo.
Ogni strumento è inoltre dotato di almeno un ingresso analogico da utilizzare per una lettura
alternativa del sensore tradizionale permettendo quindi di gestire differenti applicazioni con
un'unica linea di prodotti. Grazie alla apprezzata tecnologia “Direct Digital” che utilizza un
potente microprocessore ed un sofisticato motore elettronico di comando dell’indice questi
strumenti abbinano la precisione e risoluzione di un sistema digitale all’immediatezza di lettura di un indicatore analogico. Un’altra novità è costituita dal sistema di retro-illuminazione
a LED regolato in intensità mediante comando digitale CANBus® che permette la simultanea
regolazione della luce di tutti gli strumenti senza fili aggiuntivi : se necessario è comunque
presente un ingresso di regolazione intensità tradizionale comandabile con dimmer. Gli
strumenti diametro 52mm sono dotati di una spia di allarme programmabile, mentre gli
strumenti diametro 85mm sono dotati di un ampio display grafico LCD multifunzione anch'esso programmabile a seconda del segnale disponibile. Questo display è realizzato in
tecnologia transflettiva per essere perfettamente visibile in luce solare. Due pulsanti stagni
a frontale permettono una navigazione intuitiva tra le varie informazioni disponibili.
Thanks to more than 10 years of experience in the CAN Bus® development and acclaimed
“Direct Digital” microprocessor technology SAN GIORGIO S.E.I.N. presents a new and advanced line of instruments compatible with this powerful protocol. Unlike other competitors these new instruments, available in 52mm and 85mm standard sizes, can be directly
connected to the CAN Bus® without the need for a master unit or a converter. With only
two wires and power supply it is possible to bring engine and systems information everywhere on board. Each instrument is equipped with an analogue input that can be used as an
alternative reading of the standard sensor thus allowing to handle both digital and conventional applications with one single line of products. Thanks to the acclaimed “Direct Digital”
technology that combines a powerful microprocessor with a sophisticated electronic pointer
control motor, these instruments combine the accuracy and resolution of a digital system
with the easy and immediate readout of an analogue gauge. Another new feature is the
LED backlight system that can change the brightness using digital CAN Bus® commands, allowing a simultaneous calibration of all gauges without additional wirings : if necessary, it is
possible to adjust the brightness also using a traditional dimmer input. The instruments in
the 52 mm size can equipped with a LED warning lamp while the 85 mm is provided with a
programmable multifunction graphic LCD display. This display is made in transflective technology to allow perfect view under sunlight. Two waterproof front push-buttons allow easy
navigation among the multiple available information.

Il contagiri Ø85mm e gli strumenti Ø52mm Omni Link® Line sono dotati di connettori RJ-45
di alta qualità, facilmente reperibili, semplici da installare ed in grado di garantire un’elevata
resistenza all’usura, alla trazione, alla corrosione ed alle vibrazioni. Grazie alle sue prestazioni, alla sua semplicità ed alla compatibilità con reti di bordo , l’RJ-45 sta diventando uno
standard di riferimento sempre più spesso utilizzato negli apparati elettronici marini.
Ogni strumento è dotato di almeno una coppia di connettori mediante i quali è possibile il
collegamento in cascata. Utilizzando la nostra gamma di cablaggi dedicati è possibile creare
una linea CAN Bus® in pochi secondi per un’installazione veloce ed a costi contenuti.
Omni Link® Line Ø85mm
The Omni Link® Line Ø85mm tachometer and Ø52 mm gauges are fitted with a special execution of RJ-45 connectors, a feature that is increasingly present on electronic marine devices in today's boat environment. This connector is effective, inexpensive, easy to source
and, above all, easy to install. It gives high performance in terms of durability, corrosion and
resistance to shock and vibration.
Each instrument is equipped with at least two connectors that allow a daisy chain installation. In combination with our dedicated harnesses, it is possible to install the gauges and
create a CAN Bus® line in just a few seconds. Installation has never been more fast, userfriendly and cost-effective.

INGRESSO DIRETTO CAN Bus®
Gli strumenti Omni Link® Line Ø52mm sono stati progettati per essere connessi direttamente al segnale CAN Bus® J1939 senza l’ausilio di uno strumento master, ogni indicatore è infatti dotato di un microprocessore che riceve ed analizza gli identificativi CAN direttamente
dalla centralina motore.
UN UNICO STRUMENTO PER OGNI APPLICAZIONE
Se il microprocessore non rileva nessun segnale CAN Bus® lo strumento passa
automaticamente alla modalità tradizionale leggendo il parametro direttamente dal sensore
collegato, ad esempio un sensore pressione 10-180 Ω.
PRESTAZIONI, DESIGN E FACILITA’ DI CABLAGGIO
La tecnologia DIRECT DIGITAL® permette di combinare l’intuitività e la facilità di lettura di
uno strumento analogico con la precisione di uno strumento digitale. La nuova retroilluminazione a LED con intensità regolabile garantisce una perfetta visibilità ed elimina l’inconveniente di sostituire periodicamente la lampadina. Il nuovo sistema di collegamento in
serie riduce i costi di installazione e semplifica il cablaggio a bordo.
DIRECT CAN Bus® INPUT
The Ø52mm Omni Link® Line gauges have been developed to work with CAN Bus® signal
J1939 directly and not as slaves of the tachometer , every gauge has an independent microprocessor that can receive directly the CAN Bus® message IDs from the ECU of the engine .
A SINGLE INSTRUMENT FOR EVERY APPLICATION
If the gauge microprocessor doesn’t detect a CAN Bus® signal it switches automatically to
conventional mode and starts to work (if present) with the traditional analogue input
for example 10-180Ω .
PERFORMANCE, DESIGN AND EASY WIRING
The DIRECT DIGITAL® technology allows to combine in the same instrument the analogue
look and the digital accuracy and reliability. The new LED dimmable backlighting grants a
perfect visibility and removes the need for lamp replacement. The new daisy-chain connection system cuts installation costs and greatly simplifies the on board wiring connections.

distanza senza l’ausilio di amplificatori di segnale.
The Omni Link® Line rudder-angle instrument is compatible with 10-180Ω, 0-1kΩ and CANBus® sensors and can work as a master or slave instrument, thanks to its self-configuration
function. Using the Omni Link® CAN Bus ®conversion and transmission system, it is possible
to connect up to 15 slave instruments, at distances of up to 200 m and without using signal
amplifier.

MeteoLink® multifunction weather instrument
Lo strumento multifunzione MeteoLink® è stato progettato per monitorare e visualizzare un
numero elevato di dati meteo e navigazione ottenibili dal nostro sensore VSG40065 o da
qualunque apparato/sensore con uscita NMEA0183 compatibile. Parametri misurati :

Lo Speed-Log Omni Link® Line è uno strumento multifunzione per il monitoraggio della velocità imbarcazione, progettato per essere compatibile sia con i sensori passa scafo di tipo
tradizionale ad impulsi sia con i GPS dotati di uscita con protocollo NMEA0183.
Collegando lo strumento ad un sensore combinato velocità/profondità/temperatura (tipo
VSG40081) oppure ad un sensore aggiuntivo profondità con uscita NMEA0183 è possibile
visualizzare anche le misure di profondità e temperatura acqua (su LCD).
The Omni Link® Line Speed-Log is a multifunction instrument for the monitoring of boat
speed designed to be compatible with the traditional paddle wheel through-hull sensors
(pulses) as well as GPS with NMEA0183 output. If connected to a combined speed/depth/
temperature sensor or to an echo-sounder with NMEA0183 output the instrument can also
display on the LCD the water depth and temperature.

Omni Link® Line Depth-Log
Depth-Log Omni Link® Line è uno strumento dedicato alla misura della profondità , temperatura acqua e velocità imbarcazione provenienti da un sensore con uscita NMEA0183 compatibile. La misura della profondità viene visualizzata nell’intuitivo quadrante analogico (050m) . Nel display LCD sono visualizzate la profondità (0-99.9m), la temperatura e la velocità.
Tramite il menù dello strumento è possibile inoltre abilitare e configurare l’allarme bassa
profondità il quale attiva una suoneria (fornita a richiesta). E’ possibile utilizzare il sensore
combinato velocità/profondità/temperatura (VSG40081) oppure, per la sola velocità, un
sensore ad elica compatibile da collegare all’ingresso in frequenza disponibile.
The Omni Link® Line depth-log can display the water depth , temperature and boat speed
value coming from a NMEA0183 compatible device. The depth measure is visible in the big
analogue dial (0-50m) . In the LCD are shown depth (0-99.9m), temperature and speed.
Through the instrument menu is possible also to enable and set the shallow water alarm
that activates an external buzzer ( provided as optional) .
It is possible to use a speed/depth/temperature combined sensor (VSG40081) or an additional paddle wheel pulse sensor for speed on the available frequency input.

EcoMeter® consumption efficiency instrument
L’ECOMETER è un indicatore per il calcolo in tempo reale dell’efficienza del consumo di una
imbarcazione (rapporto velocità/consumo) ma soprattutto è il primo strumento sul mercato
in grado di suggerire la velocità di crociera più efficiente che garantisce il minor consumo e la
maggior autonomia possibile . Acquisendo la velocità dal GPS, il consumo ed i parametri motore della centralina lo strumento può visualizzare:
• Efficienza istantanea litro/miglio nautico
• Frecce di indicazione per suggerire aumento/decremento della velocità di crociera
• Velocità in nodi/ora
• Consumo istantaneo litri/ora
• Consumo parziale azzerabile
• Consumo totale non azzerabile
The ECOMETER is the first instrument in the market that calculates real-time boat consumption efficiency (ratio speed/consumption) and suggests the most efficient speed to get the
lowest consumption and the longest range . Acquiring speed data from GPS and engine parameters from the ECU, , the ECOMETER can display :
• Instantaneous efficiency in litres per mile
• Up and Down hint arrows, suggesting to increase/decrease rpm
• Speed in knots per hour
• Instantaneous consumption in litres per hour
• Trip consumption in litres with reset

TIPO RQ
La cornice nera standard può essere rimossa per un’installazione a retro quadro o può essere sostituita con una delle cornici colorate a catalogo. Il quadrante è disponibile in bianco o
nero, l’indice è rosso per tutte le versioni ad eccezione degli strumenti compatibili VDO con
quadrante nero che hanno indice bianco.
RQ TYPE
The standard black plastic bezel can be removed for flush mounted installation or replaced
with one of the coloured bezels in our catalogue. The dial is available in black or white , the
pointer is red for all the versions but the VDO match gauges with black dial that have a
white pointer.
TIPO CROMO
Cornice in ottone cromato non rimovibile. Installazione a pannello. Progettata per i clienti
più esigenti dal punto di vista estetico che vogliono un design esclusivo. Il quadrante è disponibile in bianco o nero, l’indice è rosso per tutte le versioni ad eccezione degli strumenti VDO
compatibili con quadrante nero che hanno indice bianco.
CHROME TYPE
The gauge has a fixed metal bezel in chromed brass allowing only the front installation. Designed for the most demanding customers that want an exclusive style. The dial is available

Contagiri elettronici a microprocessore completi di totalizzatore delle ore effettive di moto
per un perfetto controllo del regime del motore e degli intervalli di manutenzione. Grazie
alla tecnologia “Direct Digital” che utilizza un potente microprocessore abbinato ad un comando dell’indice interamente digitale sono stati eliminati gli errori di lettura ed è stata migliorata la procedura di taratura. Molto interessante è la tecnologia di retroilluminazione
mediante LED con intensità regolabile che permette di ottenere un estetica gradevole, la
riduzione del calore, del consumo ed evitare la sostituzione delle lampadine. Per il funzionamento è possibile scegliere l’ingresso tra presa dell'alternatore (W) o pickup. Alimentazione
universale 12-24V.
Electronic microprocessor tachometers with actual hourcounter for a perfect control of optimal engine regime and service intervals. The “Direct Digital” technology uses a powerful
microprocessor combined with a pure digital pointer control motor to nearly eliminate reading errors and simplify the calibration process. Very interesting is also the backlighting
which uses LED with brightness adjustment for a nice looking and power consumption reduction: less heat and no more lamps replacement. Installation is possible either by direct
connection to the alternator (W) or pickup sensor . Wide power supply range 12-24V.

Centralina di allarme e comando doppia stazione
Alarm trigger box and double station command box
Centralina che genera un uscita di allarme di bassa pressione ed alta temperatura per il comando di una suoneria o spia. Si collega in parallelo al segnale dei rispettivi strumenti di
misura con un unico cavo. Le due soglie di intervento dell’allarme sono regolabili separatamente. Esecuzione standard compatibile solo con singola stazione e taratura VSG o VDO. La
centralina di comando doppia stazione permette di installare quattro strumenti aggiuntivi in
una seconda stazione (fly) con un unico sensore per funzione.
The alarm trigger box for low pressure and high temperature alarm drives an external buzzer
or lamp. It can be connected with a single wire to each existing measuring instrument. The
two alarm thresholds are adjustable separately. Standard execution with single station VSG
or VDO instruments. The double station box allows the installation of four extra instruments
in the second station (fly) with one single sensor for each function.

Abbiamo progettato la prima sonda di livello in tecnologia reed nel 1970 e da allora non abbiamo mai smesso di migliorare la qualità di questo prodotto. Il principio di funzionamento è
semplice e si basa sull’ accoppiamento magnetico tra il galleggiante che contiene un magnete
ed il circuito a reed interno. Questo sistema comporta l’assenza di qualsiasi usura meccanica,
a differenza di quanto avviene nelle sonde a braccio di tipo automobilistico e garantisce un
funzionamento affidabile ed estremamente lungo. Il completo isolamento elettrico a
“sicurezza intrinseca” evita ogni possibile interferenza e corrente galvanica sul serbatoio.
Progettata specificatamente per uso marino e realizzata interamente in acciaio AISI 316 , la
sonda di livello verticale utilizza numerosi accorgimenti che la rendono unica nel suo genere.
Il galleggiante è realizzato in materiale espanso “pieno “ per evitare a priori la possibilità di
perdite ed un sieger sul fondo della sonda ne permette la sostituzione. Un pressacavo permette di accedere anche al circuito elettronico interno che impiega reed di precisione ancora
oggi saldati a mano con una speciale tecnica che li rende molto più resistenti alla torsione ed
alle vibrazioni. Le sonde verticali sono dotate di una flangia standard diametro Ø70mm
(interasse Ø54mm) con cinque fori di fissaggio oppure di flangia Ø100mm (interasse Ø80mm)
con sei fori di fissaggio. I sensori sono disponibili con tarature standard VSG (Veglia 300-10Ω),
VDO (10-180Ω), VDO tubolare (0-90Ω), Americana (240-30Ω) o compatibile con sistema Volvo®, EVC®C1, EVC®C2 e EVC®C3. Altre tarature sono eseguibili a richiesta.
We designed the first level sensor with reed relay technology in 1970 and since then we
never stop improving the quality of this item. The working principle is simple and based on
the magnetic coupling between a magnet placed in the float and a static reed electronic circuit in the sensor pipe. Unlike the standard “car-type” level sensors this system eliminates
any mechanical wear and dramatically improves reliability and operating life. The complete
electric insulation “intrinsically-safe” design avoids any possible interference and galvanic
current in the tank. Specifically designed for marine use and entirely made in stainless steel
AISI316 the vertical level sensor has many details that make it unique in the market. The float
is made of special “filled” material to avoid any possible leak and a removable sieger ring in
the bottom of the sensor allows the float replacement. A special cable holder in the top of
the sensor makes the inspection and replacement of the electronic circuit possible. The electronic circuit uses special selected reeds elements that are soldered by hand with a special
technique that prevents any damage in case of vibration and twisting. The vertical sensors
are equipped with a standard Ø70mm (bolt circle Ø54mm) flange with five holes or Ø100mm
(bolt circle Ø80mm) flange with six holes. Standard electronic calibrations are VSG( Veglia
300-10Ω), VDO (10-180Ω), VDO tubular (0-90Ω), American (240-30Ω) or Volvo® EVC®C1,
EVC®C2 and EVC®C3 compatible. Other calibrations are available on request.

speciale potenziometro selezionato che garantisce elevata affidabilità e durata nel tempo. Il
segnale resistivo è compatibile con indicatori serie VSG.
The VSG rudder angle sensor is made of a high resistance polymeric case and a special selected potentiometer that provides high reliability and long operating life. The resistive output is compatible with VSG line rudder angle gauges.
