I've just cut myself. In American English, "just" can be used with the past simple: Di seguito sono presentate alcune espressioni che fanno riferimento a un momento definito e che vengono di frequente usate con il present perfect. - "Just" (appena): nell'inglese britannico, viene usato con il present perfect ed indica che qualcosa è accaduto in un tempo molto recente: - “Ouch! Mi sono appena tagliata” Nell'inglese americano "just" può essere usato con il past simple: - “Ha appena smesso di piovere” - "It just stopped raining. - "Yet" is used in negative sentences to mean "not until now". It is placed at the end of sentence. - "Yet" (ancora) viene usato nelle frasi negative, per indicare "no fino ad adesso". La sua posizione è a fine frase. - "She doesn't know about the party. I haven't invited her yet. - “Non sa della festa. Non glel'ho ancora detto” "Yet" is also used in questions to mean "at some time before now". - "Have you told Mary about the party yet? "Yet" è anche usato nelle frasi interrogative e significa "a un certo punto prima di adesso" - “Hai già detto a Mary della festa?” To give a negative answer to questions with "yet", we normally say "not yet". Per rispondere negativamente a una domanda con "yet", normalmente si usa "not yet" (non ancora). - "Have you finished your homework yet? - "No, not yet. - “Hai già finito i tuoi compiti?” - “No, non ancora” -"Already" is used to refer to an indefinite time before now. "Already" is used in affirmative sentences and questions: - "She knows about the party. I've already invited her. - "It's early. Have you already had dinner? - "Already" (già) viene usato, nelle frasi affermative e interrogative, in riferimento a un momento indefinito prima di adesso: - “Lei sa già della festa. L'ho già invitata” or - "Have you had dinner already? In questions, "already", in addition to meaning "before now", also means "sooner than expected". Note that it can be placed either in the middle or at the end of the question. - “È presto. Hai già cenato?” Si noti che nelle frasi interrogative "already", oltre al significato "prima di adesso", assume quello di "prima del previsto" e che lo si può inserire sia a metà sia a fine frase.
