Art and Revolution
In October 1917 the bolshevistic Revolution broke out in Russia and in November 1918 another
revolution broke out in Germany and led to the birth of the Soviet Republic. These big political and
social upheavals have deep influenced the literary and artistic production. The number 17 of “links”
aims at exploring the relationship between art and revolution, which has been in the last decades
somehow forgotten by literary studies. Not only the Avantgardes, such as Futurism and Dadaism, are
strictly related to revolutionary utopias; German speaking authors and playwrights as well have
analyzed the revolution both in the theory and in the artistic production.
The proposals, in English (maximum 300 words), should be sent to the address:
[email protected] and to the editor of the journal, Mauro Ponzi,
mauro.po [email protected] , by February 28th, 2017.
The editorial committee will evaluate the abstracts and convey to the authors the papers that have
been accepted for “links” 17. Contributions can be written in English, German, French or Italian.

Kunst und Revolution
Nachdem im Oktober 1917 die bolschewistische Revolution in Russland stattgefunden hat, fand im
November 1918 auch in Deutschland die Revolution statt, die zur Geburt der Räterepublik führte.
Diese großen politischen und sozialen Umstürze haben eine sofortige Wirkung auf die literarische
und künstlerische Produktion gehabt. Die Nummer 17 von “links” behandelt das Thema der
Beziehung zwischen Kunst und Revolution, die in den letzen Jahren von der Literatur- und
Kunstwissenschaft leicht vergessen wurde. Nicht nur die futuristischen und dadaistischen
Avantgarden haben eine enge Verwandtschaft mit den revolutionären Utopien, sondern auch
deutschsprachige Dramaturgen und Schriftsteller haben die Revolution sowohl in der Theorie als
auch in der Kunstpraxis weitaus thematisiert.
Themenvorschläge mit Abstract auf Englisch (im Umfang von maximal 300 Wörtern) werden in
elektronischer Form (Word-Dokument) an folgenden Mail-Adressen erbeten:
[email protected] und [email protected]. Einsendeschluss ist der 28. Februar
2017.
Die Redaktion der Zeitschrift wird die Abstracts bewerten und den Autoren mitteilen, welche
Beiträge akzeptiert sind und in “links” 17 publiziert werden. Die Beiträge können auf Englisch,
Deutsch, Französisch oder Italienisch verfasst werden.

Arte e Rivoluzione
Nell’ottobre del 1917 è scoppiata la rivoluzione bolscevica in Russia e nel novembre del 1918 la
rivoluzione in Germania che ha portato alla nascita della Repubblica dei Consigli degli operai e dei
contadini. Questi grandi rivolgimenti politici e sociali hanno avuto un effetto immediato nella
produzione letteraria e artistica. Il numero 17 di “links” tratta il tema del rapporto tra arte e
rivoluzione, che negli ultimi decenni è stato un po’ dimenticato dalla critica letteraria. Non solo le
avanguardie futuriste e dadaiste hanno un rapporto stretto con le utopie rivoluzionarie, ma anche
autori di teatro e scrittori di lingua tedesca hanno tematizzato la rivoluzione sia in termini artisticoproduttivi sia in termini teorici.
Si invitano coloro che si sono occupati dell’argomento a proporre un saggio per “links”, inviando un
abstract in inglese di max. 300 parole entro il 28 febbraio 2017 all’indirizzo della redazione,
[email protected] e del direttore della rivista, [email protected].
Il comitato editoriale della rivista valuterà gli abstracts e comunicherà agli autori quali sono i saggi
accettati e che quindi verranno pubblicati nel numero 17. Come è noto i saggi possono essere scritti
in inglese, tedesco, francese, italiano.

Art et révolution
En octobre 1917 a eu lieu la révolution bolchevique en Russie et en novembre 1918 la révolution en
Allemagne, qui a conduit à la naissance de la République des Conseils. Ces grands bouleversements
sociaux et politiques ont eu un effet immédiat sur la production littéraire et artistique. Le numéro 17
de “links” est dédié au rapport entre art et revolution, un rapport qui a été un peu oublié par la
critique littéraire et artistique des dernières décennies. Non seulement les avant-gardes futuristes et
dadaïstes ont un lien profond avec les utopies révolutionnaires; auteurs de théâtre et écrivains de
langue allemande ont également thématisé la revolution aussi bien dans la théorie que dans leur
production artistique.
Les propositions, rédigées en anglais et qui ne doivent pas dépasser les 300 mots, sont à envoyer
avant le 28 février 2017 aux adresses suivantes: [email protected] et
[email protected].
Après avoir évalué les propositions, le comité éditorial de la revue communiquera aux auteurs les
essais qui ont été acceptés et qui seront, donc, publiés dans “links” 17. Les essais peuvent être
rédigés en français, en anglais, en italien ou en allemand.
