Si mettono in gioco 5 fotografi che per la prima volta vestono i panni dei designer: Matteo Cirenei, Massimo Gardone,

Zagnoli.
Un punto di vista insolito il loro che, per l’occasione, si scosta da
dietro l’obiettivo. Sono cinque nuovi ‘mondi’ quelli rappresentati dai fotografi/designer che progettano e immaginano il loro
personale decoro ‘da parete’.
Five photographers, Matteo Cirenei, Massimo Gardone, Max
Rommel, Lorenzo Scaccini and Miro Zagnoli, play for the first
time the role of a designer.
It is an unusual point of view: the person who normally has his
eye behind the lens to capture the moment, now imagines and
designs a wall decor.

Grazie alla fervida collaborazione tra l’architetto Nisi Magnoni
e il CreativeLab Jannelli&Volpi nasce JanVel, un prodotto inedito e multifunzionale. Questo rivestimento, brevettato da
Jannelli&Volpi a livello internazionale, si basa sull’utilizzo della
tecnica a chiusura “hook” (uncino) e “loop” (asola) che permette
l’applicazione a parete di oggetti, elementi funzionali e decorativi.
Il progetto vede la collaborazione con
Italia s.r.l.

Nisi Magnoni si laurea nel ’92 al Politecnico di Milano in Architettura e subito apre il suo studio, NM-ARCHITETTI; si dedica all’attività di progettazione senza mai abbandonare l’attività didattica che lo vede tuttora impegnato presso il Politecnico di Milano,
il Poli Design e la Domus Accademy.

Fotografo, nasce a Schio nel 1965 e vive a Milano dal 1967, dove
si laurea in Architettura al Politecnico di Milano. In Facoltà subisce il fascino delle immagini realizzate in bianco e nero dai fotografi del novecento (E. Stoller, J. Shulman, B. Korab, O. Savio,
etc.), per descrivere il lavoro dei grandi architetti nei libri e sulle
riviste oggetto di studio. Ma è grazie ad Andrea Sentieri, un fotografo dotato di grande sensibilità invitato dal Prof. Hybsch
a tenere un seminario, che, insieme a pochi altri studenti, comincia ad amare la fotografia e a percepirne le grandi capacità
espressive. E’ in quel periodo, primi anni ’90, che inizia la sua
ricerca fotografica in bianco e nero sull’architettura, fotografando gli edifici più salienti di Milano e di alcune città europee
sedi di architetture famose, con dei tagli molto particolari.
Ribalta la prospettiva che gioca con le proporzioni e con le inquadrature, amalgamandole, trovando l’equilibrio perfetto.
Una riscoperta del dettaglio, che annulla la visione d’insieme
degli edifici, per arrivare alla meta: creare visioni metafisiche,
astrazioni, ammirazione.
Photographer. Born in Schio in 1965 and lives in Milan since
1967, where graduated in Architecture at Milan Politecnico. At
university he was charmed by the black & white images of the
photographers of the 90s. (E. Stoller, J. Shulman, B. Korab, O.
Savio, etc.); because of Andrea Sentieri, a photographer with
great sensitivity, invited by Prof. Hybsch to hold a seminar, he
starts to love photography and understand its great expressive power. In the early 90s he starts his research with black and
white photography on architecture, he takes pictures of the
most important buildings in Milan as well as other European
towns with important architecture.
Flips the perspective, plays with proportions and shots, amalgamates and finds the perfect balance. A rediscovery of detail,
which cancels the overall view of buildings to reach the goal:
create metaphysical visions, abstractions, admiration.

Fotografo, si occupa di comunicazione visiva e, in senso più ampio, di ogni forma di contaminazione fra grafica, video e design.
I suoi fiori costituiscono il tessuto connettivo di libri, pubblicazioni e oggetti di design per aziende quali Foscarini, Moroso,
CeramicaViva, Nodus Rug, Aboca, Illy Caffè, Bompiani. Le sue
opere hanno avuto spazio in mostre collettive e personali presso musei e gallerie in Italia e all’estero. Fondamentali, i contributi come direttore della fotografia nel video Amorce intime di
N+N Corsino nonché nell’ideazione dei video Infinity, menzione
d’onore del Compasso d’Oro 2011, e Inspire, entrambi prodotti
per Foscarini. Ha concorso in modo essenziale alla costruzione
dell’immagine di importanti aziende.
La poesia impalpabile della natura viene messa ‘su carta’ da
Massimo Gardone. Delicati fiori che si lasciano leggere, guardare e lentamente si mostrano in un dolce gioco di colori, si
adattano all’ambiente circostante, alla materia che li ospita. Si
esprimono su JanVel, dal tocco morbido, affiancati da particolari esplicativi e da uniti.
Photographer. He deals with visual communication and, in a
broader sense, all forms of contamination between graphics,
video and design. His flowers form the connective tissue of books, publications and design for companies such as Foscarini,
Moroso, CeramicaViva, Nodus Rug, Aboca, Illy Coffee, Simon
and Schuster. His works have had space in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in Italy and abroad. Fundamentally, his contributions as director of photography in the video
Amorce Intimate of N + N Corsino; in the design of the video
Infinity, Honorable Mention Compasso d’Oro 2011 and Inspire,
both produced by Foscarini. He has contributed in an essential
way to the image construction of leading companies.
Massimo Gardone transfers ‘on paper’ the intangible poetry
of nature. Delicate flowers that allow themselves to be read,
seen, and slowly revealed in a sweet play of colours, adapting
to environment and material. They find expression on JanVel,
smooth to touch, along explanatory elements and plains.

Fotografo, nato nel 1972 a Pordenone. Intraprende la professione a Milano dove tuttora vive e lavora. Collabora con numerosi designer e aziende, tra cui Luxottica, Alessi, Molteni e Foscarini. Numerose le pubblicazioni: Inventario, Domus, Abitare,
Interni, Case da Abitare, il Corriere della Sera… La sua ricerca si
sposta spesso tra le relazioni con i luoghi e le persone. Attualmente sta lavorando su un lungometraggio.
Lavora sugli spazi, partendo da piccoli modellini per fotografare grandi spazi immaginari, nel progetto éspèce d’éspace. Una
rivisitazione della visione che i più piccoli hanno del mondo,
quando tutto quanto, anche la cosa più piccola, sembra enorme; il bisogno di ricordare che, oltre a tutto ciò che vediamo e
tocchiamo con mano, c’è qualcosa, l’ignoto che dobbiamo ancora conoscere, raffigurato nei piccoli passaggi.
Photographer. Born in 1972 in Pordenone. He started his profession as a photographer in Milan, where he still lives and works; collaborates with many designers and companies, among
them Luxottica, Alessi, Molteni and Foscarini. Several of his
pubblications: Inventario, Domus, Abitare, Interni, Case da Abitare, il Corriere della Sera… His research often moves between
relationships with people and places. He is currently working
on a film.
Max Rommel works on spaces, from small models to photographic great fancy spaces in the project éspèce d’éspace. A review of the vision the children have of the world, where even
the smallest thing seems huge; the need to remember that
near what we see or touch, there is something - the unknown
– we have yet to discover. This is described in small steps. Both
on Quartz.

Fotografo, milanese dal ‘64, ha iniziato fotografando lo sport
imparando ad immortalare ciò che nella realtà spesso passa
inosservato. Il desiderio di spaziare nei diversi settori della fotografia portano Lorenzo a lavorare anche per l’arredamento
sperimentando nuovi approcci fotografici. Lorenzo trova la
sua “strada” nel mondo dei bambini, producendo immagini per
cataloghi moda e pubblicità per marchi come Versace Young,
Chicco, D&G, Moschino, (etc.). Azione, movimento, allegria e
ironia sono le caratteristiche delle sue immagini. Cambiare, conoscere, sperimentare, scoprire diventano stimoli che lo conducono ad avvicinarsi con entusiasmo a ogni nuovo progetto.
Grazie alla collaborazione con Pietro Carlomagno, esperto in
Stereo 3D, ha voluto affrontare questo viaggio verso le carte
da parati 3D volumetriche (come dal greco stereós-skopêin che
significa visione solida-volumetrica).
Nelle sue proposte, realizzate con la collaborazione di Pietro
Carlomagno, trascende la visione bidimensionale tipica dei rivestimenti murali e ricerca la terza dimensione e stravolge il limite visivo caratteristico della carta da parati, che si trasforma in
tridimensionale. A occhi nudi, la resa è bidimensionale, indossando gli occhiali 3D, invece, si apre un mondo di piani che si
sovrappongono e si dividono.
Photographer. He lives in Milan since 1964, he began photographing sport, and learning to capture what in reality goes unnoticed. The desire to wander in different areas of photography,
leads him to work for furniture. Lorenzo finds his ‘way’ in the
children’s world producing images for fashion catalogues for
brands such as Versace Young, Chicco, D&G, Moschino, (etc.).
Action, movement, joy and irony are the main features of his
images. Change, learn, experiment, discover become are the
key words of each new project. Pietro Carlomagno, consultant since 2004 for creation of S3D institutional films (Stereo
3D), trailers, feature films, cinema spots, S3D photography for
fashion clients.
In his proposals, in cooperation with Pietro Carlomagno, Lorenzo Scaccini transcends the typical bi-dimension vision of wallcoverings and looks for the third dimension, reaching for visual
limits.
To the naked eye the result is flat. By wearing 3D glasses, he
opens a world of plans that overlap and divide.

Fotografo, nato a Reggio Emilia nel 1952, vive e lavora a Milano.
Realizza le prime fotografie a fine anni ‘70. La prima ricerca si
caratterizza da un incontro ibrido tra fotografia e media, stampa e televisione. Orienta il suo interesse, a inizi anni ‘80, verso il
mondo artificiale; gli oggetti, nella sua ricerca, giocano un ruolo
importante, favorendo l’incontro con il mondo del design. Inizia
un’intensa collaborazione - in corso - con designer, aziende e
riviste design. In quest’area, continua a dare un contributo alla
trasformazione del linguaggio visivo. Tra le varie collaborazioni: Absolut vodka, Alessi, Artemide, Cassina, Cinelli, Danese,
Driade, DuPont™ Corian®, Kartell, Luceplan, Molteni, Moroso,
Olivari, Pirelli, Rosenthal, Rubelli, Serralunga, Thonet, Tucano,
Vitra, Abitare/Segesta, Blueprint, Condè Nast, Interni/Mondadori, ISIA di Urbino, Università IUAV di Venezia.
Prende spunto dal tema design e dalla natura, temi che decide
di raffigurare sulle pareti della stanza con le ombre che oggetti
o persone proiettano sui muri e con quelle che filtrano dalle
fessure della finestra.

Milan. Takes the first pictures in the late ‘70s. His first research
is characterized by a hybrid meeting between photography and
media, press and television. In the early ‘80s he directs his interests towards the artificial world; objects in his research play a
key role, to be discovered in the design world. He starts an intense collaboration with designers, companies and design magazines, still in progress. In this area he continues to make a contribution to the transformation of the visual language. Among
his collaborations: Absolut vodka, Alessi, Artemide, Cassina,
Cinelli, Danese, Driade, DuPont™ Corian®, Kartell, Luceplan,
Molteni, Moroso, Olivari, Pirelli, Rosenthal, Rubelli, Serralunga,
Thonet, Tucano, Vitra, Abitare/Segesta, Blueprint, Condè Nast,
Interni/Mondadori, ISIA di Urbino, University IUAV in Venice.
Miro Zagnoli takes inspiration by the theme of nature, placing it
on the walls of the room with shadows that objects and people
projected on them, as well as those that seep through cracks of
the window.
