Fruit d’une expérimentation réalisée sur
le terrain, le travail de Patricia Urquiola
marque un approfondissement
supplémentaire du thème de
l’entrelacement.
Des dossiers entrelacés en polyéthylène
s’associent à une base en acier zingué
peint noir ou blanc à la poudre
polyester, pour produire un élément
modulaire de deux dimensions
différentes, à disposer en toute liberté
pour former des assises linéaires,
angulaires ou avec chaises longues
terminales. Les éléments pouf/petite
table peuvent être utilisés soit pour
alterner les assises, soit pour en
augmenter la profondeur.

a cabo en el campo, el trabajo de
Patricia Urquiola marca una ulterior
profundización del tema del entramado.
Respaldos trenzados de polietileno se
combinan con una base de acero
galvanizado pintado negro o blanco con
polvos de poliéster, creando un elemento
modular de dos diferentes tamaños,
que puede unirse con extremada
libertad para formar asientos lineales,
angulares o con terminales
chaise

longue. Elementos mesita-puf pueden
ser utilizados ya sea para intercalar los
asientos, o bien para aumentar su
profundidad.

The result of experimentation in the
field, Patricia Urquiola’s work marks
another visitation of the theme of
woven furniture. Woven backs in
polyethylene matched with a base in
galvanised steel finished in black or
white polyester powder coating produce
a modular element of two different
dimensions. The pieces can be easily
combined to form linear or corner sofas,
or also with chaise longue end units.
The ottoman/table pieces can be used
between seats, or to add depth to sofas.
Als das Ergebnis eines Experiments vor
Ort zeigt das Werk von Patricia Urquiola
ein weiteres Beispiel zum Thema
Geflecht. Geflochtene Rückenlehnen
aus Polyethylen werden mit einer Basis
aus mit Polyesterpulver schwarz oder
weiß lackiertem verzinktem Stahl
kombiniert und produzieren so ein
modulares Element in zwei
verschiedenen Größen, die ganz frei
zusammengestellt werden können
und dabei lineare und Eckmöbel oder
Sitzmöbel mit Chaiselongue bilden.
Puff-Beistelltisch-Elemente können
sowohl zwischen den Sitzmöbeln als
auch zur Vergrößerung von deren Tiefe
verwendet werden.

Frutto di una sperimentazione avvenuta
sul campo, il lavoro di Patricia Urquiola
segna un ulteriore approfondimento
del tema dell’intreccio.
Schienali intrecciati in polietilene si
abbinano a una base in acciaio zincato
verniciato nero o bianco con polveri
poliestere, producendo un elemento
modulare di due diverse dimensioni,
accostabile con estrema libertà a
formare sedute lineari, angolari o con
terminali chaise longue.
Elementi pouff-tavolino possono essere
utilizzati sia a intervallare le sedute, sia
ad aumentarne la profondità.
