Agriturismo Braccicorti is in the heart of
Garfagnana valley, in the countryside of
Pieve Fosciana, in the Province of Lucca.
The lodge lies at 440m, near the Serchio River, and the parks of the Apuan Alps and the Apennines of Tuscany
and Emila. The main town is Castelnuovo di Garfagnana 5 km away. Braccicorti is 1 hour away from Lucca by
train or car and just over an hour to the coast of Versilia and the city of Florence.
By car
● From Lucca: take the road signed to Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (SS 445). Before the town, at
the roundabout, turn right in a tunnel. At the next roundabout, turn left and after 400 m, go right
(road SP 16), following the signs for San Romano in Garfagnana and Aulla. Along this road,
just after the village of Pontecosi and a petrol station, on the right there is our agriturismo (4th
Km of SP 16 road).
● From Modena: reach Radici pass, then turn left towards San Pellegrino village and follow the
steep road through Chiozza and Pieve Fosciana. From here, after 2 km, turn right, taking the
signs to San Romano (road SP 16), pass through Pontecosi: we are just 1,2 km after a petrol
station, on the right (4th km of the SP 16 road).
● From Aulla: from there follow the road sign to Casola in Lunigiana- Piazza al Serchio. In Piazza
al Serchio go onto San Romano in Garfagnana (SP 16 road), pass through Villetta and
immediately after the signs for Pontecosi, on the Left hand side is the entrance to Braccicorti.
By train

Train line is Lucca-Aulla, with our local station at Villetta San Romano, or otherwise a stop in
Castelnuovo Garfagnana becouse not all the trains stop in Villetta. 1 hour journey from Lucca and 50
min. from Aulla.
By plan
•
The nearest airport to Braccicorti is ‘Galileo Galilei’ in Pisa. From here you can reach us by train (PisaLucca-Castelnuovo/Villetta) or rent a car and drive to Pisa-Lucca-Braccicorti (see above).
