Symposium Joseph Ratzinger Foundation
e Gospels. Historical and
Christological Research
Rome, 24th - 26th October, 2013
T
he three volumes of Jesus of Nazareth, written by Joseph RatzingerBenedict XVI, and published during the period 2007-2012, are a
considerable contribution to academic research and theological
reflection. Interest in this work is due not only to the ecclesial ministry of
the author, then Roman Pontiff of the Catholic Church, but also to his
scholarly prestige as University Professor for sixty years of research, study
and lecturing.
is conference, e Gospels, Historical and Christological Research, sets
out to study in depth of the main themes of the thought of Joseph
Ratzinger-Benedict XVI, taking its cue from the trilogy on Jesus of
Nazareth, true man and true God. Scholars and professors of different
universities and Christian denominations will be gathered to study,
discuss and dialogue in order to enrich the interpretation of the Gospels
and to continue in the passionate search for the historical Jesus.
