SUMMARY
After my studies in Earth Science and a short work experience in Applied Geology, I have
dedicated my professional interests to Cartography and GIS. I love the art of map-making
and I have had the chance to work at the most various and interesting projects in the field:
raised relief maps, geological maps, hiking trails maps, touristic road maps, school wall
maps for educational purposes. At present I'm working at the independent production of web
cartography and mobile apps.

Map maker and mobile app developper
My professional experience comes from the sphere of printed maps, which is still the main
field of quality cartography. With my maps I'm trying to introduce the same quality into the
web. The software related to neo-geography – starting from tools for map creation to APIs
for publication on the web - enable us today to create beautiful maps with user-friendly
consultation systems, thus providing an extraordinary mix of tools for the dissemination of
geographic information.
I work at the production of: original maps to be published on the web, cartographic portals
or web maps, cartographic apps for mobile devices.

LAC produces high quality cartography for its own catalog and for third parties. LAC
products are distributed in Italy and all around the world. At LAC I coordinate the work of
the technical division, made up of seven cartographers and a graphic designer. I plan and
follow projects, controlling the progress and the final quality of the works. I liaise with
clients. I do social-media marketing. I personally planned and followed the making of
Mappe d'Italia app for iOS devices, which is substantially a reader for georeferenced maps
and allows the selling of cartography produced by LAC.

HONORS
At the 25th International Cartography Conference in Paris, France, the wall map “South
America” won the first jury’s prize in the category Educational Cartographic Resources. The
map was made by LAC.
