— SUITE N.1 – Simone Micheli Architect FOR Room Mate Hotels
L’esibizione “different suites x different people” che ho organizzato negli spazi di Via Ventura 14, grazie al contributo di
prestigiosissimi partner, per la Milano Design Week 2016 nel distretto di Lambrate, ha ottenuto un grandissimo successo di
pubblico.
Ho deciso, al fine di evidenziare il grande valore di quest’opera e il denso impegno che ha richiesto la sua realizzazione, di dedicare
i post del mio blog delle prossime quattro settimane al racconto dei profondi significati che hanno dettato la forma di ogni
meravigliosa camera di hotel.
Ho dedicato la suites n.1 alla prestigiosa catena alberghiera Room Mate Hotels; questa riprende l’energia ed il dinamismo del
gruppo spagnolo, declinato e reinterpretato sulla base delle mie visioni contenutistiche ed intellettuali che, combinandosi con le
interpretazioni iconiche del mio grande amico e fotografo Maurizio Marcato, hanno dato origine ed uno spazio vivo, lucido,
luminoso, elettrizzante. Il lucente candore degli arredi si mescola e fonde con il grès porcellanato della pavimentazione, vivaci
tocchi di colore sintetizzano le sedute, le luci al neon rendono l’ambiente surreale ed al di fuori delle realtà convenzionali; immagini
di corpi nudi di donna ornano le pareti offrendo al luogo una forte carica sensuale. La camera, chiamata “Simone – Maurizio” è
esclusiva, comunicativa, coinvolgente e rappresenta il luogo ideale in cui io e Maurizio desidereremmo trascorrere le vacanze o
godere di pregnanti attimi di relax dopo un’intensa giornata di lavoro.

Suites n.1 Room Mate Hotels
“different suites X different people” exhibition I organized in Via Ventura 14, thanks to the contribution of prestigious partners, during
Milano Design Week 2016 in Lambrate district, had great success.
I decided, underlining the big value of this work and the dense passion its fulfillment requested, to dedicate new posts of my blog for
the next 4 weeks, to the expression of the deep meaning that each suite includes.
I created the suite n.1 for the prestigious Room Mate Hotels; it shows the energy and the dynamism of the Spanish Group,
according to my visions that combine with my great friend and photographer Maurizio Marcato’s iconic reinterpretations. The space
is therefore alive, lucid, lighting and electrifying. The shiny whiteness of furniture mixes with the flooring gres, vivid colorful touches
light the seats up, near lights make the space surreal and out of conventions; images of nude bodies decorate walls and offer
sensuality to the place.
The room, called “ Simone – Maurizio” is an exclusive, communicative, involving space, it represent the ideal place where Maurizio
and me would like to spend their holiday or to enjoy deep moments of pure relax after and intense working day.
